Despite this, Cade's work ethic is commendable, doing odd jobs in the most efficient ways, earning the respect of his short-term employers.

In fact, those warriors that have fought beside him swear that he is not. In combat his icy facade falls away and his depthless rage is released upon the world, the hatred for his fellow man coming across so starkly clear that those who have fought at his side often have difficulty meeting his eyes once the battle has concluded. But despite all that, and independent of any reservations those who have met him might have, one shining beacon of virtue does stand out among all of Rasteon's many flaws. That's not to say he doesn't know how to be convincing or charming in his arguments, just that he doesn't see a point to brushing things under the rug. She takes her tasks seriously, from cooking to tending wounds and picking pockets, applying an admirable passion to all she does. The criminality is unfortunate, but she claims caution in whom she steals from, and a desire to do anything else. Being born with nothing does distort one's worldview. In truth this hard-eyed hellion is more canine than feline, though she has yet to find her 'pack'. She's as prickly as her name, but Qadira ultimately believes in commonality, and that people who apply themselves can accomplish feats beyond their limits. A life spent in captivity does make her profoundly naive in many ways; raging against the powerful on principle, or rejecting and ejecting an unruly customer over their unwise actions. This swiftness to judge may change, in time, when she finds her trust. For now she's at least a good conversation and a fine friend to those who don't ignite her smouldering temper. The future could be bright, if she doesn't end up imprisoned or executed.

If she feels she has the chance to relax, she opens up a little more - becomes warmer - but most of the time, she feels that she needs to keep herself in control. Her family and their fortunes are her motivation and what she strives to protect - occasionally through unsavory means. But if that means that others don't need to dirty their hands, so much the better. She'll do it for them and they - they can continue without worrying. She's seen some of the uglier sides of life and she's accepted it, but she also knows that there's more to life than just her own wants and her own needs. She also doesn't suffer braggarts well - she's run into enough of those in her own training and fighting that she knows those who talk the loudest are usually covering up for something. After interminable years lost and suddenly returned to light, he truly is adrift, seeking familiarity in a strange city, his old comrades and family long departed. The best of Erasmus may have been left behind under the surface. That said, Persephone is more often grim-faced than not, her natural expression settling into firm and unforgiving lines that her history have forged. Still, she can't hide the presence she carries with her everywhere, captain of her own ship, leader of a crew, her voice tends to carry when she speaks, and often in tones that brook no refusal. Carrying herself with the confidence of a woman that has earned her place in life through hard work, she has a tendency to play just as hard when she does decide to let loose.
