Description

Dark hair falls past his shoulders, worn loose more often than not, and of a brown so dark it is like black coffee. His face is long and narrow, with an angular jaw often dusted with day old stubble and a slight cleft to his chin. Dark heavy brows lend a certain intensity of expression to his deep blue eyes and a set of nicely sculpted lips are perhaps his most expressive feature, resting beneath a strong and straight nose. His build is muscular enough, with light tone apparent, but devoid of any bulk or excess, insted evoking a certain sort of sleek grace when in movement, and a sculptured ease when in repose.

Personality

Dairen, or Ren to family, was always a soft spoken young man. While possessed of the same bravery and fierceness typical to those of his house, his tends to express more quietly as he is something of an introvert and when his family is not on the line even a pacifist. Not unlike a magpie, he has a love of shiny things, and has spent much time learning to make them as well, though with as strong a bent toward arms and armor as more ornamental trinkets, if not more so. He is quick to laughter and slow to offense, with a tendency to hide hurts due to pride.

Background

Of no remarkable height or strength, coupled with a more introverted mind and love of artistry, it was almost a blessing that he had three other siblings with a more appropriately martial bent. This allowed him to focus more on learning to help run the household and studying markets, much more suited to his more scholarly inclination. He is devoted beyond most to family, and will defend even those he has the most frictious relation to to his dying breath. What started as an interest in armor became a full blown interest in armor making, then swords, then the working of fine metals for ornamentation of more practical pieces, though he still considers himself more steward than smith.
