Daughter of the silver-tongued, and quite deceased, Michal Grayhope and one of his conquests, Moira's always known the Lower Boroughs; she grew up around the criminals and outcasts and untouchables found there, lurking around her uncle Chanse's tavern and amusing herself with socializing. In spite of her nativity in the slums, Moira's life was rather charmed: she wanted for very little, and lived in comfortable surroundings that set her apart from her peers. Her father's death - supposedly at the hands of the Smiling Shadows - left a void in young Moira's life, and a void in the Grayhope family as a whole, one that she's sought to fill up with her own presence.

An exotic appeal radiates from Moira Grayhope, one smashed away when she speaks; her voice reveals her Arx-born heritage where her golden skin and dark coloring doesn't. She holds a petite height coupled with lithe limbs and softly rounded curves, her body made of lean muscle rather than pampered fat, and moves with the swaying grace of a woman well-aware that others look at her readily. Her beauty is accented in long lashes and oblique eyes, just a hair lighter than black, perched above defined cheekbones and full lips in a diamond-shaped face. The brows above her eyes are more expressive than the rest of her face, often complementing what feelings can be discerned from her features; they match the terribly dark brown of the thick tresses that crown her head and spill across her shoulders. There's an ebullient lilt to her voice that doesn't suit her posture, kept a touch tense in the manner of the Lower Boroughs' native familiar with watching their back.

Coy, sweet, intelligent - Moira exemplifies traits better suited to courtesans that mingle with nobility than rabble from the Lower Boroughs, charm she learned from watching her father. Though located in the slums, her manners and etiquette are able to elevate her in polite society, never far away even when she's with her family, watching her kith and kin brawl. She relies entirely on her ability to be pleasant company, preferring smiles to stabbing, but it's not hard to see the ice behind her smiles.
