Description

If one were to compare Damik'uhl'daja to a statue, they might not be wrong in the chiseled and imposing figure that he presents. The man himself is warm and alive, with golden skin and hazel eyes that shift like the seas, one moment taking on more grey-blue and the next, darkening with his emotions. The only hint of softness about him: his fine black hair and full lips. A strong brow with straight, thick eyebrows accent the narrowly shaped eyes and the straight bridge of his nose. His jaw is angled sharply, though it's often hidden under a beard. He has the body of a soldier, scars and muscles, over the entirety of his frame.

Personality

Damik was often compared with his brothers. "Less violent than Ulrik'uhl'daja the Butcher of Skal'daja" or "less ruthless than Galik'uhl'daja the Whip of Skal'daja" are not untrue, but these are still very relative terms for a culture that many in the Compact find abhorrent. He's sympathetic to Arvani mores, and tries to be mindful of giving offense, but the man still has many, many blind spots making it all but inevitable there will be cultural clashes.

Background

For most people in the Compact, the name 'Skal'daja' means little to nothing, with the Dune Kingdoms of Eurus blending together as a vague awareness of foreign nations far to the east across the Mourning Sea. The Crown Prince of Skal'daja, Prince Damik'uhl'daja would very much hope to change that. Son of current Grand Vizier Rayik'uhl'daja and nephew of former Grand Vizier Rel'Khan, Damik was raised with the expectation that he would one day come to rule the City of Chains. Often at odds with the rest of his family and troubled with the traditions of the city and the war on Eurus, he was nonetheless put in command of the great fleet sent to punish Arvum. Once he met with Arvani shortly before arriving in Sungreet, he shocked even his supporters when he suggested allying with the Arvani instead... and then managed to survive an assassination attempt by forces commanded by his brothers.

The Eurusi forces splintered, with Damik leading forces loyal to him to the aid of the Compact, while his brothers continued with their plans to attack Arvum. And now Damik looks to possibly join the Compact, and provide a bridge for their ambitions in Eurus.
