Cutlin Moss has served the Deepwood since his birth, as did his father and his father before him. And, like all of them before him, he served as a scout and ranger. Few know the wild lands like the Moss do, and few are as comfortable in it. Cutlin began serving on long-range scouting missions and hunting at a young age, and he was trained well by his father and his elder sister. Eventually he fell in love with another commoner (A woman by the name of Bianca), and they married. They had a son, and two years later a set of female twins. His wife and eldest son were eventually killed in a skirmish with pirates while they were on a trip to the coast eight years ago, and he has raised his daughters alone since. Now, in the wake of the siege, he has been called to aid the Deepwood closer to Arx, though he already misses the deep wild.

Standing a robust and tightly muscled 6', this man doesn't severely stand out. He is handsome in a stark and quiet way, and his clothing tends to be far from the ostentatious. His hair is dark brown with a few streaks of grey, and it falls almost to the middle of his back. He tends to have a few days worth of salt and pepper stubble. His skin is tanned, and he looks like he is somewhere in his late thirties, or even forty. He is clearly in excellent shape for his age, however, and is quite handsome for it. His eyes are his most notable feature, as they are a deep forest green.

Cutlin is a man who has experienced life. He is robust for his age, surely, and still has a lot of life in him, but the decades weigh him down. He has lost his wife and one child, while other children still live. He has bled in his duty, though he is the type to suffer in silence. He tends towards brooding over whining, and adores the quite of the wilderness, where he can contemplate and dream. He is not a vicious man, but can and will kill if the need arises. He has taken lives in the line of duty before, and while he does not seek out opportunities to kill, he will do what his job demands. He loves his children, and if anything were to make him forsake his oaths to his house and fealty, it would be his children. He also grows lonely, as it has been some years since his wifes death, and has begun to contemplate seeking companionship once again.
