Blessed with the title of nobility, if not ostentatious wealth or large land holdings. The truth is, they're rather poor, even if the stretch of property they maintain is quaint, even idyllic. Considering that they are a Lycene House, it may come as a surprise to some that the Saiks are not, in point of fact, a fashion-crazed, plot-hungry, conspirator-loving family amidst a sea of such (according to all rumor) that exists within Lyceum. Indeed, by and large, the Saiks are content with what they have. Which is to say, food, serfs, and relative wealth. Why risk losing a good thing?
