A
Amador Rafael +Discerning and reserved, Amador is a whisper on the periphery of social gatherings. Happy to leave the limelight to those who crave it, it is more likely to find the steward tending to the more monotonous tasks of the social sphere and assuring the comfort of all those with whom he is party to. Not an incredibly expressive man, Amador is most often neutral featured though those with an attentive nature could easily note the constant flicker of his gaze between conversation speakers and the subtle line that creases his manicured brows alluding to a man of deep thought and preparation.  +
Amalthea +What little is known about this star-stricken teenager doesn't quite explain who she truly is, often avoiding crowds or commune. She is introverted, to say the least, quiet and dedicated entirely to the unbiased truth. Corruption shows no wear on her, neither does criminal activity being too anxious of consequence for danger. In short, she's shy but there's a certain silence beneath the murkiness of her shadowy oceanic eyes. Her voice is always soft spoken, a sheepish tone and slight stutter whenever a person gets too close or asks too much.  +
Amalthea Crown +What little is known about this star-stricken teenager doesn't quite explain who she truly is, often avoiding crowds or commune. +
Amanda Morgan +Generous but not necessarily kind. Loving but not precisely warm. Amanda is an oddity. Often, she smiles and laughs and shows open affection, but just as often she's cool and distant. The latter speaks more to her actual persona. As a child, Amanda was quiet and withdrawn. She'd often interact with others only when it was necessary, or she had some great desire. She was more often reading or drawing or "playing" with her dolls (which included making them wait in line and scolding them for their rude behavior and impiety). But as an adult, she learned the value in socialization and how a display of empathy can be much more effective than an explanation of cold logic. It does not mean she's any less cold and logical at her core, nor does it make her caring smile fake. She simply offers to a situation what she believes is needed. After all, what's the harm of in putting on a bit of a show if it helps push someone toward acting properly and piously? Of course, those that know her closest will surely see that, outside of a necessary situation the woman is nothing if not impassive.  +
Amanita Malvici +At first glance, Amanita is sometimes curt and clipped. Smiles are rare, laughter even rarer. Her manners are impeccable, though she doesn't mince words; she knows the art of tact but remains somehow straightforward when conversing. Taking a further look at Amanita, one will see exactly why she's a courtier; she studies people to their core and finds them out as best she can, seeking to offer advice and friendship when she can. She shares parts of herself with those who won't easily stray, as fierce loyalty is embedded in her. Those lucky enough to see Amanita open up like a blooming flower will be wowed by her passionate charm and grace - and perhaps even get to see a smile.  +
Amantha Harrow +Amantha's got a strong sense of duty and honor, a heart the size of the moon for the weak and downtrodden, and she approaches the world with the fierce determinism that seems to be a hallmark of the Harrow women. She knows how to cut loose, enjoy a strong drink, and in some circles is known for her singing voice. But don't cross those who matter to her, she's a ferocious protector for those she cares for.  +
Amanthir Hale +Eccentric until circumstances dictate otherwise, the man can often be heard singing and whistling as he wanders the roads and woods surrounding Acorn Hill. Fiercely loyal to the farmers and merchants who have made Oakhaven their home. Always prepared to lend aid to those in need. Known for having an appetite for fine foods, hard liquors, and cheap women. Superstitious and knowledgeable of regional myths and legends.  +
Amaranth Pravus +They say that curiosity killed the cat, but Amaranth fancies herself a nimbler creature. She has a bad habit of sticking her nose into places she shouldn't. The stories are often worth the pain, so she finds herself coming back, time and time again. In addition to being a part-time adventurer, she has a fascination with animal husbandry, and made a hobby out of delivering exotic creatures to nobles and wealthy commoners. Spoiled rotten, she often expects to get her way.  +
Amarantha Sanna +Where her sister is well mannered, Amarantha is wild. She delights in playing the games of court and intrigue, with an ear for gossip and an eye for trouble. The Lycene-born girl lives to turn heads. To be provocative. To tempt. All of it is an art and Amarantha pursues that art with the same passion that she pursues her singing. Spoiled and often accused of being apathetic, the southern Lady is rarely seen doing anything productive. Instead choosing to spend her time writing songs, dancing, or studying some obscure subject. Often, lounging around a pool or sitting room in the process. Her laziness is coupled with a morbid, dark sense of humor that makes her almost a reflection of her dutiful twin.  +
Amari Keaton +Figuring out Amari Keaton was something of a local pastime in Oakhaven. The vagaries of her personality from day to day were legend; sometimes sweet, sometimes cruel, always sharp witted, smart and observant. Intensity was her companion from a young age, and she is prone to bouts of it still when something manages to draw the fullness of her focus. There is an air of mystery that swirls around her, one never quite knows what to expect and she is often approaching things from oblique angles.  +
Amari Redire +Figuring out Amari Keaton was something of a local pastime in Oakhaven. +
Amber Mondegreen +Cheerful and softspoken, Amber is a quiet, petite woman with an unflinchingly brave and direct view on life and events. She lost her husband, and it hardened her - but not completely. Determined to continue the dream they started together, she is ferocious in the pursuit of the best deal, and is ruthless about her trade agreements. But beneath it all, she really does have that heart of gold. She also remembers gold may be the softest of metals, but it's still a metal, and a heart of gold doesn't mean you have to let people take advantage of you.  +
Amelia Eventide +A free-spirited and passionate individual, Amelia can just as easily be seen in the setting of a Velenosan banquet as a Lower Boroughs tavern. Those that know her better might spot a certain cold calculation behind her amber eyes, and learn she can occasionally act ruthlessly towards those beneath her command. Ultimately, she thrives in a leadership role, and lives to achieve her ambitions.  +
Amelie Steelhart +Growing up the youngest daughter in the Ducal line, she grew up knowing that she did not really need to be concerned with learning the ins and outs of being a Countess. As a result of this she was always able to do and learn about the things she was passionate about. Which wasmostly history, and exploring. She also grew up and became a rather conservative personality. Given her orthodox beliefs and hyper-focus on her interests, she can often come off as rather aloof, which often results in her feeling the need to be overly kind when she gets the chance, as she is rather self-conscious and often worried that everyone thinks she is mean and cold.  +
Amelie Wyvernheart +Growing up the youngest daughter in the Ducal line, she grew up knowing that she did not really need to be concerned with learning the ins and outs of being a Countess. +
Amerigo Pravus +It can be hard to peg Amerigo's personality. He has charm, swagger, the look of a Steward who in another life could have gone on to be a pirate. He is smart as a whip, and will engage in wordplay and banter at the drop of a hat. He will take the side of an argument opposite the other person simply to have the argument and learn how they think. But, behind all that, behind the sarcasm and biting remarks is a man loyal to his family and commited to doing what is in the best interest of the House and its members. Just understand that if he's asked to do something, it is highly likely he will tell you no, even send a messenger back with a long winded response as to why he won't do it...only for the requested item or happening to show up moments later because he was working on it the whole time.  +
Amieli Igniseri +Amieli devotes herself to things quickly and readily, fully anticipating their ending because she understands time and place are fickle confidants. Through time and trial she has learned to be cheerful and polite, in an impersonal, build bridges and expect to forget them kind of way. There is a clear distinction between the optimism and soft-spoken supportiveness she offers others and the effort invested into the capacity to provide them, but in her genuineness she is ruthless: Amieli will twist the truth, charm, manipulate like any proper Lycene, but always with a single-minded intensity; rarely if ever are her motives multilayered or complicated.  +
Amir Melaeris +Confident but not arrogant, Amir carries himself like the nobility he is. There is a calm self-assuredness to his words, as if he's certain of every sentence he speaks and the ideals that he strives for. Pride is a word for it. Stubborness is another. The lord refuses to bend or cave when it comes to defending what he considers to be just or honorable. That's not to say he doesn't know how to be convincing or charming in his arguments, just that he doesn't see a point to brushing things under the rug. His wanderlust and love for freedom have at times put him at odds with his own ideals and to this day, Amir struggles to balance the two. Duty can be a heavy burden to bear.  +
Amorria Arterius +She would much rather be sitting away from the center of a crowd in most situations, preferring to simply observe other's interactions. Hopelessly curious, she can't help but openly follow most conversations within earshot, no matter what the subject is. Borderline temperamental, her emotional path can switch rather quickly once triggered to do so, and there may be little indication when that mood-swing may happen. Often, she has a hard time relating to some people, her social skills not being completely developed and her imagination carrying more weight than what her eyes see plainly.  +
Amund +A survivor through and through, Amund is a man of few words. His demeanor is cool and impersonal, and things such as 'honor' and 'glory' are contingent on whether he gets to live another day or not. He's the quintessential sellsword: if he is to do things for the good of all mankind, it better be worth the pay. Then again, he has that thrillseeker's edge to his personality, one that is balanced by an attempt at strategic foreplanning in all things he does, along with a marked hesitation to accept honors over wealth.  +
Amund Frost +A survivor through and through, Amund is a man of few words. +
Amund Honor +A survivor through and through, Amund is a man of few words. +
Amund Masque +A survivor through and through, Amund is a man of few words. +
Amund Monrosa +A survivor through and through, Amund is a man of few words. +
Anabelle Lyonesse +Anabelle is a chipper, bubbly, and altogether exuberant person. Easy to like, easy to smile. Nothing excites her more than encountering new people, places, and things! She enjoys people and they tend to enjoy her in return. A gossip at heart, she loves the opportunity to pick up the latest news and rumors of the social circles of the world. Despite all of her energy and enthusiasm, she still knows the necessary times to be serious. Which instills in her the ability to be a valuable friend and confidant. Lyonesse's Luck? Fictional, at best! Bad luck and misfortune can't overcome the force of positivity and good cheer! Until it does.  +
Anastajia Mercy +Aiming to please and bring smiles to everyone she meets, Anastajia is a whimsical dancer in possession of a pure and sincere heart. Dreaming big, she hopes her existence can help to make the world a better place. She is always willing to listen to peoples struggles, and is she can, fill them with the warmth they need. Don't be fooled by her playful demeanor, however, as she is more clever than meets the eyes. If you believe she is easy to double cross, think again. Betray her one too many times and she will develop a grudge that will last life times.  +
Anders Nightcove +Stern, commanding. Anders is not known for his warmth or laughter. He has a strict dedication to his family and to the traditions that he believes have made the Mourning Isles great all of these years. He's willing to live and die by his ideals. The man has little interest in debate and would rather make his stances known through actions than pointless circular arguments.  +
Andreas Donatti +Although at first glance he may come off as a bit serious and intimidating. Andreas does not lack in the charming and clever departments. There is something about that collected attitude, clever use of words, and deep southern accent alluring enough to draw the right people, at the right time, in the most convenient of ways. What a lucky fellow, some say!  +
Andrel Monteaux +Andrel is a very gregarious sort of man. With a bright smile on his face, Andrel confidently strides about with a demeanor that borders on arrogance. This does little to detract from his social, if perhaps boisterous attitude, however. Ever the optimist, Andrel finds himself home in a crowd where the attention is focused on him-- manifested through an often loud, energetic voice.  +
Andrina Thornburn +A touch on the pampered side for a commoner. Andrina is idealistic and naive. The harshness of reality rarely touches her. With a daydreamer's soul she's often caught up in fantasy involving epic battles and large than life heroes. This is not to say she isn't savvy, she just isn't as pragmatic as she might otherwise be if she had lived a less sheltered life. She sees the good in everyone and likes most people.  +
Andromeda Leporidae +Andromeda is a regal woman who knows what she wants in life and there is little that will change her mind once she is decided on anything, although she is not unreasonable and is always willing to adapt. The Sword of Tremorus is fierce when on the field of battle or dealing with those she feels are lesser than herself. She does possess a sense of humor, of course, but it's very dry and sarcasm is her weapon of choice during social engagements. Among warriors, sailors, and brash types she is charming and inspiring in a way that is hard to put a finger on for most everyone else. Despite her years of experience on the field of battle, she has maintained her honor, dignity, respect and compassion for people who do so love one of their greatest Heroes. True bloodshed is not something she reaches for so easily even though she -does- enjoy a bit of violence from time to time to keep her wits about her. Within reason, of course.  +
Andry Bayweather +Andry is a survivor first and foremost. While other Knights may look down on this attitude, being more self sacrificing and 'noble' Andry hasn't lived as long as he has that way. He's done it by making the right choices to put him and those closest to him first. Yes there's ideals, there's the Gods who obviously come first, but there's always a way to make sure there is still a way to advance. Andry is always planning. There's always an angle, he casts wide nets to get involved with a great many projects, giving favors reaps favors, after all. Andry tries to keep up good relations with everyone he meets, you never know when they might be useful. He's a careful meticulous planner who makes sure to have his fingers in as many pies as possible and his sharp eye and wit to help out those in need. He is deeply pragmatic, and while his true loyalties only belong to a select few, he views them as an extension of himself. While he's a deep thinker, relying heavily on his mental skills, he is also given to bouts of passion and emotion which can sometimes be his greatest bane. Leaving him often perplexed at himself the night before, trying to figure out how to get out of this pickle. Andry also likes to use his keen mind for practical jokes. It is often a way to show those he cares for he has a deep love for them. Intricate, meticulous but ultimately harmless pranks being the tops.  +
Angelica Sanna +Intense. Focused. She has her task and her duties and she does them to the best of her ability. Her joy is the satisfaction of a job done well. Confident, outwardly calm, it's hard to say what she'd be like if she lost control. As it is, she's as placid as a deep lake, grounded and at times unfathomable.  +
Angelo DiFidante +The uncharitable might call Angelo lazy, but it's not fair. He's far from lazy. Once he finds something that traps his interests, he can be deeply passionate about it: about words, word games, philosophy, human stories, and more recently about diplomacy. He can be intense on the subject of Tehom and the other gods. Those who don't 'get it' might call Angelo aloof, but he is not that either. There is a warmth behind his reserve, an alert interest that allows him to listen to others in a focused way for an extended period of time, so that he can share his wisdom to their needs. The aggressively Lycene may call Angelo prudish, but he merely prefers intimacy to wild abandon. He's just not interested in debauchery for its own sake. He can be very sensual and deeply, imaginatively romantic when someone has his interest. The hot-tempered might call Angelo cold, but he's not cold; he's merely controlled, composed, and rarely does he lose his temper over an imagined slight.  +

Anisha Whisper +Anisha is a bright and curious thing, always eager to learn more about the people around her. Enjoying the finer things, she has a zest and passion for life that borders on (and frequently crosses into) the hedonistic. She can find enthusiasm for just about anything and tries to spread joy with her every word and action.  +
Ann Redrain +For a supposedly stuffy old scholar, Ann is a remarkably devil-may-care Princess. For an older sibling, Ann has more often been the goad to temptation and the road less traveled. Any semblance to a bookish, authoritative woman is purely coincidental. But those are the two disparate sides to Ann Moriah Redrain, and they are as interchangeable as the sun and the rain, pulled out to suit the occasion or the mercurial nature of the woman herself.  +
Ann Rivenshari +For a supposedly stuffy old scholar, Ann is a remarkably devil-may-care Princess. For an older sibling, Ann has more often been the goad to temptation and the road less traveled. But those are the two disparate sides to Ann Moriah Redrain, and they are as interchangeable as the sun and the rain, pulled out to suit the occasion or the mercurial nature of the woman herself.  +

Any semblance to a bookish, authoritative woman is purely coincidental. But those are the two disparate sides to Ann Moriah Redrain, and they are as interchangeable as the sun and the rain, pulled out to suit the occasion or the mercurial nature of the woman herself.  +
Annabella Grimhall +Anna is a bit quiet, and would much rather not interact with people if given the opportunity. Though it's not to be rude, usually, though she can be a bit sassy if caught in a bad mood. She just gets flustered easily and doesn't consider herself too good at being social. If you get her going, though, she could pick your brain for hours about the latest discoveries in the medical world or what she's been reading about in her novels lately. She rarely looks people in the eye when she does speak to them.  +
Annika Navegant +It would be easy to have become cold, or distant, living on Escuma and being mostly isolated from a lot of the Islands. But Annika was never geared towards that type of personality. She's warm, affectionate, caring to a fault in many ways, but also practical and willing to do make the hard choices when the time comes. She has always had a maternal streak, but don't let that fool you, she's not a push over.  +
Ansel Telmar +Quiet. Diligent. Friendly. Brave. Ansel is used to hearing these words to describe him by individuals that barely know him at all, and it's a rare person that could claim to know him better than that. The young lord is a difficult man to get to know, but it's not as if he is unfriendly, really- the need for courtesy and amiable agreeability was drilled relentlessly into Ansel by his father, Duke Arn, even if the older man had no desire whatsoever to ever show those traits himself. Given a choice, the young man would be happiest alone and on his own, investing himself in studies and far away from other people and their games, but that possibility was denied to him as ever being an option. So he's the Sword of the Telmarch, striving hard to live up to the obligations of his name and position, even as he never has felt particularly drawn to it. What choice does he have?  +
Ansgar Blackram +Pride has carried him far in life, what he may lack in other facets of life, Ansgar makes up for in his pride. Whether it is pride in his own achievements, pride in the history of his family or the pride of his fealty, Ansgar finds strength there. Despite his pride, he is not necessarily a man who is unable to bend and enjoy life, he can joke about his weaknesses and his mistakes. If he is reminded of the fact he's gotten to be more than just forgetful, he just smiles and plays it off as having known he was asking the same thing all over again. He may not recollect that he is well past his prime, and his own pride makes it hard for him to accept that despite being a big strong Blackram, he's getting older and slower in a fight.  +
Antea Mazetti +Antea has spent many years and much training in crafting her public facade. Studious, serious, even severe could all be appellations attached to the young woman. She tends to be brief and to the point in her speech, and while she strives to be respectful and polite to all she meets, everyone has their limitations and Antea does not suffer fools lightly. And then there is the rare moment where one can actually see the young woman behind the mask, bright with curiosity and looking to experience a world long denied to her. It is the rare occurrence to see Antea let her hair down, but she will do so at seemingly random intervals.  +
Anton Kennex +Possessing a rather imperturbable temperament, it was obvious at an early age that the genial and cool-headed Kennex would not make a very stellar combatant, especially given his languid mannerisms and seeming refusal to take anything to a violent course of action. Later, it became clear that he wasn't a pacifist so much as preferring to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, and devoted himself to the traditional noble studies, as well as a passion for fortifications and architecture in general, as well as how to find more efficiency in all systems. What he lacks in physicality, Anton makes up with intelligence and charm.  +
Antonia Amadeo +Antonia is polite and even on occasion pleasant but may seem aloof, seemingly focused on representing her lady appropriately. She does not tend to fall into frivolities of her lifestyle but rather is focused on setting the example of decorum. Overall she seems aimable and unassuming. (This may change depending on the needs of Saorise)  +
Antonio Velenosa +He might have been sent to Arx to play at Court, but Antonio's first love is still the sea - even after what he's lost there. He's not the sort to be defeated by a loss, though. Antonio is as resilient as water, and as tireless as the waves. He doesn't dwell on past failures, and he doesn't think about the possibility of more in the future. It's just not in his nature. He pairs a crass sailors' sense of humor with a nearly boundless well of positivity. In his mind, there's nothing he can't do. This is not to say he's chipper, or even one of those annoyingly cheerful sorts, he just doesn't give up. Not on his friends, not on his men, and not on himself.  +
Anwen Ravenseye +Vivacious and as fierce as the sea, Anwen is known to most in the same breath as her first love: the ocean. She is quick to laugh and bright of personality, with an indomitable spirit and a thirst for adventure. She is tenacious and sometimes brash, but in quieter moments is capable of great softness and tenderness.  +
Anze Malvici +Serious and jovial, warrior and jester. Trying to find a way to smile through everything can be hard, but Anze tries. He's a warrior first and foremost, a man of the blade who's no stranger to the harsh lands of the north but he tries to balance that with a lot of smiles and good natured living. When not wielding a blade it's best to not think about what that blade is used for, and so Anze doesn't, leaving that to those times he does have to pick up the blade. And then the smiles stop.  +
Anze Redrain +Serious and jovial, warrior and jester. +
Aodhan Crovane +Aodhan is generally a kind and gentle man, despite his often serious exterior. While normally he is loving and gentle, especially with children, he can become stern and stoic when the situation calls for it. Kind and virtuous yet ruthless and merciless, he is both and is so splendidly. He holds a deep love for his family and people, his loyalty to them unbreakable. He is often known to throw down whatever he is doing to help a friend in need, which can lead him into trouble. Above all else, family and friends reign supreme in his life.  +
Aonghus Seliki +Friendly and open, any are welcome in Aonghus' domain - the forge and shop he takes great pride in having. He has taken well to Grayson's relaxed strictures on social proprieties, treating high- and low-born with equal regard. Even so, politeness goes a long way with him. Roll in to his shop rude and he'll show you the door, no matter how pampered your fanny. He often sings or hums while he's working and his voice is such that it doesn't send the dogs howling.  +
Apollis Malvici +While Apollis flirts with nihilism and hedonism in full measure, his true beliefs are hidden beneath a sea of not giving a fuck. While his days of troublemaking are behind him, he's still no model of excellent behavior. He doesn't sit still and struggles with impulse control. Don't call him untrustworthy, though, for he's fiercely loyal to his family.  +
Apollo Malespero +Years in Arx have rounded out his ineffable charm; it settles like a certainty about his kindness. He speaks easily and willingly with almost anyone, prizing connection and conversation. Though he has moments where his glib tongue still runs off with him, a cultivated discipline has made the appearance of trouble a rarity. That's the way he likes it, avoiding ill will and violence until the last extreme.  +
Apollo Oakwood +There's an ineffable charm to Apollo that sees him through most confrontations that may or may not have started with the glibness of his tongue. His wits are relied upon almost exclusively in times of trouble and they serve him rather well. He might be slow to trust, but once he does, he's loyal to the bone, so while he may call few friend, those he does, may count on him til his last.  +
Appolonia Seraceni +Appolonia's foundation is curiosity. Perhaps it is Pravus, perhaps it is simply some sort of horrible feline spiritual touch, but she has always had her mind turn towards the unseen, towards things uncharted and seas unsailed. This has drawn her largely into scholarly pursuits, where she can gratify this desire without too much work. This curiosity has extended to the nature of humanity. Why do people do what they do? What do people truly think? Are people truly bad or truly good? Is virtue inborn or made? These kinds of topics, as well as a mixture of the social graces and a certain amount of natural poise, have made Appolonia able to get along with just about anybody and leave a good impression for the length of a quarter of an hour. After this... well, that's about how long it takes for the strangeness of her interests to show themselves. Even then, though, she is rarely without poise.  +
Arcadia Leary +It's not that Arcadia isn't smart, exactly. She likes learning new things just fine; so long as they're new and exciting skills, rather than boring and useless facts. The list of things Cady would like to try includes but is not limited to: swordfighting, sailing, drinking too much, traveling to far away lands, meeting interesting people, exploring dangerous places, falling in love, falling out of love, and punching things. With a strong sense of adventure, and an eagerness to expand her horizons, Arcadia is up for anything. Bright and bubbly, she is willing to try anything once (or twice!) and delighted to meet new people from all different walks of life. She enjoys parties, as long as they aren't dull ones where everyone talks in low voices about the latest scientific study on weather patterns. Parties with drinking: good. Parties with dancing: better. Parties with masks AND drinking AND dancing: ideal. Finally in Arx, after years of dreaming of such freedom and opportunity, she is ready to meet any possibility with open arms. The world is her oyster! Speaking of which, is anyone available for oyster harvesting lessons?  +
Arcadia Stahlben +It's not that Arcadia isn't smart, exactly. Arcelia Navegant +Arcelia is a young and very compassionate woman who speaks up when needed. She can be quiet and attentive at times but when she sets her mind to a task it is difficult to pull her back in. She is sweet, sometimes playing the coy noble, sometimes the wise young girl, and other times falling to the naivete of her youth. But she is almost always sincere, not being a fan of deception and manipulation except during times when there is no other option. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is unafraid to tell others how she feels and what she thinks. Arcelia is full of passion and drive, often pursuing what she wants without pause. She is a playful woman with the young heart of a woman who just wants to have fun and watch other people having fun with her. She enjoys climbing trees, throwing mud, and catching people off guard by how creative and fun-loving she can be.  +

Archene Clearwater +To those he is close, Archene is trusting, caring and open. To those who aren't, he can even seem to be trusting, caring and open, but he doubtlessly would do nothing for them if it didn't benefit him.  +
Archeron Tyde +Archeron a creature of wood and earth, he is most comfortable in the natural world and in the urban world there is always a sense of 'on guard' about him. He is not so much quiet as he doesn't feel compelled to speak unless he has something to say, and when he does so he does it concisely, respectfully, and without any bravado. He is steady and reliable, perhaps even predictable, seeming to the lack the sort mercurial reactivity his Thraxian peers are so well known for.  +
Archibald Kitt +Generally embittered by life, Archibald considered none his friend. Too much has been taken from him already.  +
Ardee de Lire +Outgoing, warm, a free spirit with a love of laughter. On the surface Ardee is fun and flirtatious, the aura around her brimming with promises of adventure. Her wits are sharp and her tongue even sharper. Beneath the soft, feminine surface, however, is a spine of steel. The woman knows what it takes to survive, but is skilled at playing soft and innocent.  +
Ardoin Valardin +Ardoin is one of those annoyingly optimistic folks, even in the face of the odds stacked against him. Impeccably pious, his veneration of the Pantheon is only matched by his strongly held convictions of right and wrong, honor and fidelity. That, combined with his steadfast belief in chivalry, scholarly pursuits and very serious belief in the Valardin knight being the sword and shield for the commoner has led to some friction within the family - which he happily ignores, remaining as genial and approachable as ever. Still, the idea that the commoners should be granted more land and economic opportunities while being steadfastly supported by a stronger hand of the nobility has made him less than popular in the minor branch of the Valardin family to which he belongs.  +
Argos Seraceni +Argos is fairly kind to most people and even tries to advise those that cause trouble in his sight. Known to even lecture criminals from time to time as well. He is no fool and knows that in war sometimes hard choices need to be made and men like him have to carry out their orders no matter their personal feelings of it.  +
Ari Corsetina +Ari Corsetina is as much a man of brooding silences as he is raucous laughter. Well into his middle ages, he's a seasoned sailor; confident in his own abilities and typically of those around him. He's easy to smile, but just as quick to anger. He does favor the drink a little bit more than one probably should, however. And does tend to turn to melancholy...  +
Aria Gilden +Aria is a bright personality who is nevertheless calm and levelheaded. She is kind without being giving more than she can afford and strict without being merciless. Her greatest flaw, perhaps, is that she tries to hard to be everything. Though she has a rarely seen temper it's left to be seen how strong her spirit will be when under fire. She also, some might say, takes her responsibilities far too seriously.  +
Arian Brand +Cool of temperament, Arian is quick to smile, laugh or toss over a wink. The young man doesn't seem to have any issue getting along with most, brash and blunt with some, whilst calm and collected with others. However, upon closer inspection there's a storm of emotion roiling behind the twinkle of his cold gaze, lending to the idea that there's more to him than first meets the eye.  +
Arianna Fireviper +Arianna used to be quite the troublemaker as a youth. She caused no small amount of headaches and disappointment for her Liege and inevitably earned a ticket to Reform school. All things must come to an end, even the childish ways of an upstart noble with a skewed sense of the world. Not a very nice place it seems for whatever she experienced there has made her a different person altogether. Where she was once brash and disrespectful she is now restrained and properly deferent. Her demeanor is a cultured one of self-respect and quiet wisdom. Even if she has managed to maintain her dark sense of humor it is easy to see that Lady Stonewood spent those long eighteen months underneath some of the greatest instructors in social charms and it shows.  +

Arianwen Grayhope +Perpetually stubborn and commonly pragmatic, it is little wonder that she has worked at least a decade for the stolid Chanse Grayhope himself. Of course, unlike her employer, that sturdy core frequently hides under a cheery demeanor, one perfectly suitable for a tavern wench serving mugs of ale to society's outcasts. An attitude also quickly honed to a fine dagger of command, in situations where intoxicated customers become a bit overzealous. Youthful energy and confidence only occasionally get in the way of careful ambition and an unfaltering loyalty to those she calls friends. Fitting in just fine as one of the rabble of the Lower Boroughs - and despite her superficial gentility - she can watch someone rob or knife another without batting an eye.  +
Aric Keaton +Aric is a very friendly and charming sort, especially if there are spirits being poured close by or in the company of women of ill, or decent, repute. Always a smile, always the one who keeps the drinks flowing, dressed in finely tailored clothing that suggest a healthy source of income but given his manners and disposition, it might not be the most acceptable source.  +
Ariel Darkwater +Ariel is sweet, bubbly, and even quite charming as long as everything is going her way. However if it isn't she tends to become a little bit bratty, though she isn't one to hold a grudge unless you wrong her family or her dear friends.  +
Ariel Stonewood +Ariel is sweet, bubbly, and even quite charming as long as everything is going her way. However if it isn't she tends to become a little bit bratty, though she isn't one to hold a grudge unless you wrong her family or her dear friends.  +
Ariella Igniseri +Ariella is headstrong and hilarious, quick-witted and vocal, with a tremendous force of personality behind her ambitions. She is so much a free spirit that she finds the constraints and necessities for her role as a daughter of the nobility to be a tremendous hassle. While she can -- when forced -- put on a decent enough face for a few minutes in polite company, she'd always rather be sailing, dancing, drinking, throwing a punch, or otherwise having a good time as a wild young rapscallion. She is not a complete stranger to responsibility -- the men in her charge are close to her heart and though she struggles with structure she is no pirate to decry the bounds of honor and fealty. She'd just ... rather have fun about it.  +
Arielle Rivera +Enthusiastic is the best way to describe Arielle Rivera's demeanor most days. She is a cheerful sort by nature and one who despises the very thought of giving up. Despite being vain and proud of her appearance she still tries to use those traits for something positive. Rather than simply critic others and boast about how nice she looks she focuses on trying to help others look nice. Her mentality is very much 'if I don't like something if going to try and fix it' she does occasionally gripe though, no one is perfect. But she makes a concentrated effort to stay productive and positive.  +
Arik Halfshav +While perfectly capable of interacting with southern nobles in a manner that doesn't inspire unspoken dread, Arik doesn't often bother. A warrior through and through, his is a life ruled by the sword, and it shines through in his every action, whether it be his sharp wit, piercing gaze, or willingness to thrust himself into glorious battle. The broad side of the sword has its uses however, and in Arik this can be seen through his blunt honesty and sometimes narrow-minded disdain for things that don't fit into a worldview honed by ice and stone.  +
Arion Harrow +Helpful, serene, and often quite curious about anything he deems interesting Arion takes his work seriously. He is an apothecary and one who enjoys experimenting with new ideas almost as he enjoys showing off the successful ideas he has had. While not a braggart he does possess a bit of pride and a touch of vanity. His friendly demeanor and soft appearance often make people underestimate him, not that he minds too much. His sharp mind and creative nature make him a somewhat formidable thinker, and this paired with his natural charm makes him into pleasant company for most.  +
Arman Velenosa +Arman Velenosa is calm, cool, and collected. He tends to be eight chess moves ahead of nearly everyone he knows and is an oily kind of intelligent. He prefers quiet, studying a situation for a long while before speaking, acting, or otherwise making his involvement known. But Arman most definitely is involved. If there is intrigue, he is not far behind. He may offer smiles and pleasantries, but there is always something lurking under the surface of this man. He has a somewhat feared reputation - after all, one word from him could send other, lesser Lycene houses tumbling. Arman sees the world in grays -- he is neither a good man... nor a bad one. He does what needs to be done, the ends justify the means, and he is not afraid to do what needs to be done.  +
Armand Farshaw +Charming, impulsive, passionate, Armand's character is a wildly unpredictable one, at odds with the moral principals of the Faith's Orthodox branch that he yet follows with remarkable devotion. Indeed, the man is one of contrasts and extremes, with a dangerous temper as violent and sudden as a storm at sea, while also displaying a true and unshakeable faith in the precepts of the Gods and the Compact, willing and ready to die for their ideals. Suspicious of the worship of Tehom, and yet prone to womanizing and drinking, though rarely to excess. An odd one, certainly, and yet, through it all, possessed with the overriding desire to do good, and fight evil, so that others won't have to.  +
Armani Gilden +Armani is what many would call a wild child. She often throws caution to the wind and acts on what she thinks would be the best method, both for her own enjoyment and for her family. It might be a surprise that someone so impulsive, if not out of control, would take two things with the utmost seriousness: being on the seas and writing. She may border on being a pirate with her actions but she never fails to assure her crew and her ship are kept safe. Perhaps her love of reading and writing came from the long hours at sea for rarely does a time go by, when not being a captain, that she isn't writing something. She has a massive love for jewelry, it sparkles so prettily, and when she is /angry/ there is quite a proccess about removing it and she is often saying things along the lines of 'Hold my jewelry. I've lessons to teach.' It has coined her the title of 'Captain Gem'  +
Armel Godsworn +Armel is a man of few words. Not because he cannot think of them, for behind his dark eyes, the gleam of intelligence is obvious, but because he simply finds adding more to be superfluous. He is a man of economy of action combined with occasional explosions of energy on the battlefield. As a Knight of Solace, he is not a foul man in temper, especially to those in need or those suffering, and is in fact, willing to give all up to the shirt upon his back in such cases. It is just that he has a very defined sense of morality from his years abroad, and sticks to his beliefs and his silence, for he finds comfort in them, as well as discomfort for his enemies.  +
Arn Telmar +To call Arn a curmudgeon would be kind. He is gruff, mean and painfully blunt. Basically, he does not have time for your shit. All of this might make a person miss how unswervingly loyal he is to the High Lord of the Valardin. He never fit the image of the handsome heroic knight, so he has ever been the unrelenting asshole that his liege needs him to be. He is surprisingly deft and using his seemingly complete lack of social grace to put people on the defense and make them react in what are often predictable ways. He's also perfectly willing take the black eye, and the social disgrace to do the things his Prince can not. It's a persona he's crafted so meticulously over four decades that he doesn't remember being the more mild mannered youth he once was.  +
Arta Fatchforth +Competitive person who loves racing and her animals. Busy and proud stablemaster of some renown and skill. Fairly optimistic and trusting person who wants to think the best of people and tries to live up to that belief. Fastidious if she is given the opportunity and particularly if it serves her interests and goals.  +
Arthen Dayne +Insatiably curious. Unshakeably brave. Questionably moral. Dayne is a creature who divides opinion. People seem to either love him or hate him, and this is usually colored by whether or not he is on their side. He's a man who covers his doubts and fears with wit and sarcasm, often creates his own rules when the actual rules don't suit him, and never gives up even when the stakes get high enough to turn most back. The line between courage and foolishness is a fine one, but it's one he strives to straddle, and it's far from the only fine line he walks for the sake of his profession.  +
Arthur Russo +Arthur is a good man, but not a grand one. He came from nothing and wants something, but he is not a greedy man. He is practical and knows the importance of wealth, however. Some nobles do not really understand the importance of their wealth, but Arthur grew up in the gutter, so he gets it. However, he does not want lavish riches or opulence. He would be happy to not have to scrape and scrap for each meal, and to have a comfortable bed, a woman to love, and to be able to do the craft he loves. Life, however, is never that simple, and he knows that. While he comes from a rough childhood, he has managed to keep a certain sense of hope and idealism through his worship of the Gods...specifically Jayus. He considers Jayus his patron, and many of his actions in life he views as being in service to him. He is loyal to those who earn his loyalty, and while he is not some hardcore warrior, he will shed blood to defend those he thinks require it. He is rough, but kind. Charitable, but practical. Skilled, but humble. Like any decent person, he is complicated.  +
Artorius Magnotta +Artorius is a quiet and kind young man. He prefers to be active and attentive, that is until he is with his family. He is often found with a sword in his hand, taking his call to the life of a soldier very seriously. Despite his kind and loving nature, a trait he shares with his sister Caelis, he possesses a fiery temper when provoked. It takes a great deal to stoke the flames of his temper but once they ignite they are hard to douse. Above all else, he values loyalty to his family and remains very protective of his kin.  +
Artorius Malvici +Artorius is a quiet and kind young man. +
Artur Redrain +Artur struggles with directed focus on many things in his life because there is so much to do and learn and be. Fancies tug at him like will-o-the-wisps, and he'll chase them with all the energy of an overgrown fleethound until the next one catches his attention and turns him after it. He can frequently get cheerfully lost down logic trains that make little sense outside his own head, and also, he's very bad at jokes, not because he doesn't enjoy humor but because he tends to "get" them about twenty minutes after everyone else in the room, sometimes with a loud "Oh!" and then a now-completely-inappropriate chortling laugh. Warm and friendly, frequently hyperactive almost to a point of manic in his energy, he can be contagious in his enthusiasms, and it's very easy to get caught up with him in his energy. Sometimes people go along with his ideas only -- once out of his company and no longer subject to the Arturian common sense jamming field -- to stare around and wonder what happened.  +
Arturo Grayhope +Arturo is a man at odds with his occupation. He does whatever he can to scrape by -- and there is little he wouldn't do if his situation demanded it-- but he has little drive or ambition to further himself. He is demure and shy, and one can hardly get a word out of him, lest he has lute in his hand. Music is his muse and inspiration, his true love, second only to that of his most favored vice. Dust. He has an addictive personality, almost to the point of being eccentric. When something strikes his fancy, he will obssess over it to no end, only for his eye to be caught by something else a week or month later. Music and dust have been the only things to capture his attention for any length of time. Beneath the surface of his quirks and shady jobs lies a kind, smart man. He doesn't wish to hurt anyone, or take anything. But he will if that's what it takes to get the next bowl of dust.  +
Arya Gilden +The warning to not judge a book by its cover was clearly not coined with regards to Arden. Often found laughing or otherwise engaged in similar delights, its rare that she attempts to act mysterious. Due to this, she is sometimes more trusting than most, assuming honesty from others as she displays herself. She has a passion for the unknown, especially in attempting to document it, yet her habit of following up on every rumour means shes not as prolific as she might otherwise be.  +
Asger Crovane +Gregarious, and outgoing off the battlefield, Asger doesn't put much heed on the social niceties of high society, preferring simple courtesy when he can get away with it. Drawn to the randomness of chance, he is drawn to games of luck and the adrenaline that comes with gambling.  +
Asha Espina +Known for a sharp tongue and a fiery temper, Asha has a love for grand gestures and theatrics that lends itself well to the life of a Champion. As much as she lives for the show, outside of it she is an easy going woman, sometimes described as lazy.  +
Asher Grayhope +Optimistic Opportunist  +
Asher Morrlin +Optimistic Opportunist  +
Ashkyr Elensar +An ambitious and adaptable young man seeking to restore his lineage's name alongside his brother after playing a part in tarnishing the family name. Carrying himself confidently, he was rather amiable when approached despite his weathered exterior. Diligence was his watchword, his knightly vows taken rather seriously, and his sincerity and reliability knew few limits to those he'd considered a friend.  +
Ashlinn Speare +Depending on when one meets her they may walk away from Ashlinn thinking she's a good natured girl with an easy smile and her heart on her sleeve while another may find her a stern, foul-tempered drill sergeant. And they would both be right. Ashlinn's personality is one of extremes. She loves the Compact, she loves its people, she loves her friends and she loves her city and more than anyone she loves her compatriots in the Silver Swords and the royal family, and that love shows constantly in warm smiles and a bright disposition. It also shows in the way she brooks absolutely no shit from anyone about any of it, that she's incredibly serious when it comes to protecting the things she loves and her lack of tolerance for slacking in any form, especially from anyone who may be in her charge. Woe to the silver squire who is caught napping when they should be sanding armor or brushing horses.  +
Ashlyn Velenosa +She's laced with curiosity and mystery. Intrigued by the unknown and by nature. She is kind and open to those she meets, learning from others and offers insight in return. She is mysterious and always apt to hear the tales of others as she determines a way to work her way up through society. She is drawn to lore and secrets. Quiet and perhaps a bit strange and doesn't seem inclined to call herself better than others.  +
Ashlyn Velenosa/Reflection +She’s laced with curiosity and mystery. Intrigued by the unknown and by nature. She is kind and open to those she meets, learning from others and offers insight in return. She is mysterious and always apt to hear the tales of others as she calculates a way to work her way up through society. She is drawn to lore and secrets. Quiet and perhaps a bit strange and doesn’t seem inclined to call herself better than others. She is kind by nature and ready to aid or defend those she cares about.  +
Ashur Sanna +It's not that Ashur has no social graces. He simply doesn't have time for them. He worked on his impatience, truly he did. But it was hard sitting around and sipping alcohol when there was a world to uncover and understand. Determined. That was Ashur. Determined in all things; to tinker with a gadget, to find a new path, to seek a lost artifact. It was a madness, almost. A consuming thirst that would never be quenched so long as the lure of something new existed just beyond the horizon.  +
Aslaug Winge +Aslaug does not share much of herself with many, even her words come rare and after some contemplation. Despite this she is just as likely to answer a straight forwards inquiry with monosyllabic 'fine' as she is some poetic non-sequester. Action on the other hand Aslaug is freer with, she is a tactile creature who touches people, smells them. She saviors tastes and sounds alike. Her eyes and expressions, when allowed out from under her floppy hat's brim, are often a curious blend of interest and patience. If her mystery is deliberate or accidental it is no less the case. The wanderer leaves many more questions in the world around her than answers and seems unbothered by as much. She does not seem gleeful or to delight in the puzzle she presents to the world, it simply is, as so many other confounding things are.  +
Asphodel Leary +Asphodel Leary was a charming and happy child, the life of gatherings, and a fast friend. Her disfigurement has changed her, making of her presence an aloof, quiet and strange thing, prone to unwelcome observations and offputting metaphors. A young woman who was once an open book has become something of an enigma with a preference for solitude, the macabre and the hidden. Despite her trauma and seclusion she is capable of society, and those who tolerate her obliqueness may find a friend or a resilient ally offering uncommon perspective.  +
Asralyn Venac +In her is incapsulated all the best and worst traits of a survivor. She is quick to her own defense, cynical to take up the defense of others. Secretive, even with nothing to hide, and prone to bouts of excessive joviality and deeper depressions. A life in service to coin at the tip of a spear has robbed the young woman of much and instilled in her a taste for mindless violence and a hunger for ill-defined freedoms. She is rabble, without origin or loyalty, and where the chaos of this lifestyle takes her is fine enough a destination.  +
Asriel Darkwater +Oh, Asriel - brooding, brilliant, bone-tired Asriel. He isn't without his eccentricites, but whatever charm was lacking in the former Count Draevor Darkwater wasn't lost from the family line entirely. As it would turn out, it just blew into the sails of his brother instead. Which is to say Asriel Darkwater is terribly charming, or at least he can be when he wishes it. That charm is even sometimes enough to smooth over whatever strange glances he's prone to collecting when a wild idea finds itself entangled in the shroud of his frenetic, often unyielding curiosity. He can be generous or selfish by turns, caring or cold-shouldered, quite compendious or loquaciously brimming. The only constant is that he's rarely ever lost between them, showcasing himself as a creature of extremes.  +
Asterion Havmarke +Asterion is a harsh man, and there is little effort made to blunt that fact. His speech is low, clear, and concise, evident indicators of his low tolerance for mirth or fancy. He's quick to offer corrections, always with the appropriate level of deference, though they are typically made only once. He carries an air of authority brought about by a quiet confidence and keen understanding of natural hierarchies. Above all, though, he is a man of convictions and unwavering loyalty, walking through life as though all the Gods are watching.  +
Astor Larrant +Astor is a curious yet skeptical traveling apothecary and merchant who found his way into Arx somewhat recently after traveling through Arvum. As such, he is both weary and wary of travel. Though trained in the practice of an apothecary, he considers himself a 'student for life' of a relatively uncommon, yet intriguing trade.  +
Astraea Redrain +Coquettish to a fault and debonair even when she shouldn't be. Astraea has impeccable manners and doesn't believe in rudeness of any kind, even upon the battlefield. Though some might describe her as pragmatic this chevalier is highly principled and carries herself with the moral fiber of someone who keeps themselves accountable for their own actions. While her moods tend to vary like her sister's she is most usually in high spirits, but never quite bubbly. Even suggesting such a thing is enough to earn a scoff and maybe a derisive chuckle or two. It's normally assumed that soldiers, knights and warriors of her caliber tend to be highly disciplined but this Lycene born princess is quite lazy. Never when it counts, but enough that if she can delegate or sidestep a minor responsibility she will. This attitude lends to her Tehom-may-care demeanor and compliments her sometimes too serious moments quite well. A woman of contrasts indeed.  +

Astrid Ulbran +Astrid is the kind the of person that sets her mind to a goal and doesn't stop until it's complete. The first example of this was her complete makeover from an Ulbran-raised orphan to a respectable member of the priesthood. She found mentors and teachers to help with her meteoric rise, polishing off the rough edges and cultivating a reputation as warm, inviting, and earnest in her dealings with the Faithful of Arx and beyond. Very few people aren't met with an inviting smile, and everyone is shown kindness.  +
Astyr Vanha +Astyr has a great deal of respect for force magnifiers. It could be a lever to move a stone, an offer to move the markets, or a word to move a kingdom. She is keenly aware of how quickly circumstances can change, and how hard it can be to rebuild what was once destroyed. She has seen ruin and it has left her fiercely determined to build, to craft a wall of silver and secrets and with it shield her and hers.  +
Aswin Ulbran +Aswin could be described by some as cold-blooded and calculating, but the truth of the matter is that he is a creature of extreme discipline and attempted order in a world where so much of his life has been the product of wild circumstance. While his early life in the Lowers was chaos, Aswin learned to channel what order he could over what he had control of... himself. And so he considers his actions, be they in service to his family or in service to himself, carefully. Weighing the probable outcome of each action in an effort to bring about his desired result. Cynical in most cases, Aswin tends to think most matters could be settled with a blade rather than pandering around with lengthy words.  +
Athaur Rivenshari +Athaur is a deeply intense man that prefers to show the world his playful, carefree side, while inside he's two steps ahead of his enemies. Always seeking to find that angle, he plays people like a chess game and his strategy is rarely off. He is a man of his word but he always words things in a way that allows him to take a loophole if needed. Fiercely loyal to his people, Athaur will take on the world to keep what remains of the Rivenshari safe, even if that means going on bended knee to a Compact that he once mocked.  +
Atherton Galeren +Atherton is not what you might call the life of the party. He's generally gruff, relatively humorless, and a touch paranoid. A little booze will help two of those but he generally stays sober for that exact reason. More positively, he's slow to real anger, calculating, and deliberate in his actions. There's a reason he's lived this long in his line of work.  +
Atreylan Hollowood +Bold words can be more dangerous than anything for a man without a castle to hide behind, a fact that Atreyan has known since youth. For that reason, he has always worked hard to moderate his temperament and is able to weather a storm of insults like a armored knight beneath swings of a sword. While more than equipped to offer verbal ripostes of his own, he strives to maintain his decorum. That is not to say he has never drawn blood with a phrase, but when he did, it was with the utmost understanding of the consequences. And a sureness that he could withstand the reply.  +
Atria Ulixes +Social Justice Warrior and Cardian are not two concepts that the average Arvani would put together. This comes by, no pun intended, a scale of degrees. For a Cardian, Atria is a Social Justice Warrior. Oh, she's not out there arguing daily that the slavery is a horrible practice that must be ended; she's arguing that maybe Cardia has enough sources of slaves that Arvum doesn't have to become another one. She's not protesting that the Talons should get to have their wars and skirmishes where needed, or that the standing army needs to be slashed; no, she's arguing it's a bigger show of Cardian dominance to just fly where they want, whether they control the area or not. But most of all, Atria argues for promises kept. Nothing has ever made her so angry as a promise broken, from childhood til now.  +
Atrid Darkwater +Atrid is a gruff rough and tumble blunt and brutally honest man. He has no filter and will tell you what he thinks when he thinks it with no hesitation. He believes in fair play and honesty but he also has the mentality of take what you want and give nothing back live with no regrets.  +
Auda Crown +Scrappy, spitfire, too mouthy for her own good. Auda has survived on pure grit and determination, and it's easily seen in bright eyes and guarded postures. She's very, very slow to let people in, but that's not really rare in a city this big. Auda's quick to make acquaintances, of course, but real friends seem few and far between.  +
Auda Florin +Auda has survived on pure grit and determination, and it's easily seen in her bright eyes and casual confidence. She's quick to make acquaintances, generally friendly and open to socializing-- but true friends seem fewer and farther between. She's rarely far from a grin or a laugh, and seems to have a pretty sunny outlook on life for one who grew up an orphan in the Lowers.  +
Auda Waters +Scrappy, spitfire, too mouthy for her own good. Auda has survived on pure grit and determination, and it's easily seen in bright eyes and guarded postures. She's very, very slow to let people in, but that's not really rare in a city this big. Auda's quick to make acquaintances, of course, but real friends seem few and far between.  +
Audgrim Veilandir +Audgrim is a man of cynical humor and the capability to not let his emotions rule. However, he is not asocial - he can enjoy a drink with friendly people, he can tell a story and he enjoys hearing a good one. But he does not trust easily and does not open up to just anyone. From hard life experiences he may seem overly suspicious of situations most would think are harmless, a quirk that sometimes see him refusing to enter an inn, or walk down a certain street - as if he imagines monsters waiting.  +
Audrey None (formerly Valardin) +Audrey is not a woman of many words, the years have taught her to keep it to herself. A veritable wallflower, the warrior assumes she is not on anyone's mind and tries to play her role to perfection. Even though that paints a muted picture, observation of Audrey reveals far more beneath the surface. She is kind to those around her and she is the type to share her food with soldiers who have gotten less. She gives the time of her day to commonfolk that will talk to her and she responds to kindness with a smile and guarded warmth. The fighter is obviously a wounded woman, bearing a great burden, something some Oathlanders might recognize. Audrey bears her burden well, but if she can find respite in a good talk, she will, as acts of kindness towards her are few and far between. On the subject of kinslaying, Audrey does not speak of it. Commoners might take that as admission of guilt and some sort of shame, but silence precludes Audrey from lying. For as long as she remains silent on the subject, the truth is what others will make of it, and she will remain guilty, as she desires.  +
Audric Crown +Arrogant, ruthless, completely unburdened by scruples or anything with a passing resemblence to honor, Audric should not be a likable man at all. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, the sellsword captain is charming only in the way that the completely unconscionable and amoral can be. Friendly, cheerful (particularly during and after the acquisition of money), and with a base cunning that provides him with just enough empathy to guess what a mark most what to hear, the irredeemable rogue has a winning charisma that has somehow kept him alive even when absolutely surrounded by cutthroats. Afterall, he is one.  +
Audric de Lire +Arrogant, ruthless, completely unburdened by scruples or anything with a passing resemblence to honor, Audric should not be a likable man at all. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, the sellsword captain is charming only in the way that the completely unconscionable and amoral can be. Augustus Grayson +With a natural thirst for knowledge that showed itself early in life, Augustus was often given the title of "bookworm" as a child. While this have may been intended as an insult by his peers, he grew to identify with it and is even proud of how well-read he has become, greatly enjoying his broad and deep body of knowledge. A paradox to many observers Augustus appears to live by glaring contradiction that nonetheless make perfect sense - at least from a purely rational perspective. For example, Augustus is at once an almost starry-eyed idealist whilst also being the bitterest of cynics. But this is because he believes that with effort, intelligence, and consideration nothing is impossible, while at the same time he believes the average person is too lazy, short-sighted, inept, or self-serving to actually achieve anything of note. Rules, limitations, and traditions are anathema to Augustus. Everything is open to question and reevaluation - and if he finds a way, Augustus will often act unilaterally to enact his technically superior, sometimes insensitive, and almost always unorthodox methods and ideas. This isn't to be misunderstood as impulsiveness, Augustus is a being of rationality no matter how attractive his end goals may be, and thus every idea whether internal or external in origin must pass his ruthless and ever-present "is this going to work?" and "what does this do for the family" filter. This mechanism is applied at all times, to all things, and all people. In short, Augustus is defined by his tendency to move through life as if it were a giant chess board, with pieces constantly shifting with consideration and intelligence, always assessing new tactics and strategies (with more than a few contingency plans), attempting to constantly outmanoeuvre his peers in order to maintain control of any situation whilst maximising his freedom to do as he needs. This isn't to imply that he acts without conscience, but his own ego and emotional needs are tertiary to the rationality and the pragmatism that drive he and his kin.  +
Aurelia Pravus +Prone to fits of mischief and bedeviled with a coquettish demeanor, Aurelia has been cast as a cunning figure with a taste for any and all past-times of the upper echelons of society. As a stalwart romantic she has been known to make attachments quickly, but commitments come rarely due to her sometimes flighty, carefree demeanor. Some whisper that a near drowning incident from her teens has left her with a touch of madness.  +
Aurelian Valardin +A generally calm and logical man, he is a scholar known for seeking out mysteries and knowledge lost in the fire of The Great Fire of Arx so it can be rediscovered.  +
Aureth Grayhope +Restless energy defines Aureth, a hot core of righteousness beneath alternating layers of humor and reserve. Easy charm and frank affection come as readily to him as quick repartee or sharp insult, and he wields them all with the careless acumen of a man who developed conversation as performance art. Keen acuity occasionally blunted by the raw force of an impatient temper, the forge of life has taken him from a pattern of chameleonic social camouflage to an almost reckless forthrightness. A man of deep loyalties to persons over principles, he has flowered in the grip of late blooming faith into a new and fierce purpose.  +
Auriela Malvici +Being further from the Malvici branch lines, Auriela has a point to prove and is willing to make what she wants - happen. A voice to be reckoned with, clicks and harsh tones are not rare from her when needed but, also, there is still that refined education she received. That training, that understanding that sometimes a soft smile, a secretive glance across the table, achieves a lot in Lycene politics. Believing she is a cut above the rest, but not given the chance, now she takes when she can and grips onto it with both hands.  +
Aurora Thornburn +Finding the good in each person, the beauty in all things, Aurora looks at life through rose colored glasses. While not naive to the ways the world works, or shielded from the horrors people are capable of, the woman just prefers to give the benefit of the doubt. Despite this, she is fiercely ambitious. Her goals have been set, and she will do everything she is able to see them met, by any means possible.  +
Aurus Wyrmguard +Aurus often is compared with his cousins in the mainline. With a strength to match the elder sister, and a dazzling wit and charm to match that of the younger, Aurus is a fine counterpoint between their personalities. Confident, almost assuredly excessively so, his personality is nonetheless radiant, and he seems to almost vibrate with an inner light and purpose. He's infectiously mischievous, though might be said to lack some of the focus of his elder cousin's, but with more temperance than his younger. His passion for achievement is as fierce as dragonflame - and he aims for the stars.  +
Austen Ferron +It would be a mistake to consider Austen a dull man. While not especially outgoing, he is determined and decisive, and his silence is not borne of thoughtlessness or shyness: he's just terrible at small talk. Additionally, deception is not something Austen does: he is consciously opposed to it and terrible at it on the rare occasion he tries. He is fiercely protective of his family and the few people close to him. Threats are not beyond him, regardless of who the threat is, but he can usually get the sentiment across by glaring daggers.  +
Austin Goddard +Austin is a bombastic and larger-than-life fellow. He rarely takes himself seriously regardless of the situation. He's great to have around at a party-not so great at your aunt Meredith's funeral, probably. Not one to settle down, he frequently looks anxious when not in control of the situation, fidgeting about like a child at a school desk. He moves about with an almost cartoonish smirk and swagger, exuding confidence wherever he goes. He's a right positive force in the world, really! Albeit suffocating at times-and at others, something is definitely off about it, as if he's grabbing for attention, or simply doesn't care to hear what others around him are thinking.  +
Avak Zadarra +Avak is verry determined. If he feels he can do something, he will try as hard as he possibly can. That is one of the reasons why he became a soldier. Avak also is quite kind, trying to help everyone. He can be angered easely though, and if he is angry, he is going to show it. Along with this, he has a hard side, and he never gives up. His mind is always set. He never changes his mind, and he always will be that way.  +
Avaline Velenosa +Possessing of a certain quiet grace, Avaline is a bright spirit. Quick to smile and easy to laugh, she finds joy in the simple things in her life. She's sociable and tends to bond quickly and is eager to hug and embrace close friends. She manages an air of propriety, even in the most Lycene of settings, and despite her jovial nature is quick to take charge and is very quick to shut down any signs of disrespect.  +
Avary Ashford +If one were looking for a perfect representative of the Sentinel, it coalesces in Avary. Cool and impartial, she rarely lets emotions cloud her judgment or sway her decisions, but she remembers every single word or slight. While not unkind, she is certainly reserved. She is as slow to anger as she is to trust. Only very few have ever seen past her walls of polite ice.  +
Avasyn Culler +Avasyn is a quiet woman, gentle and perhaps a tad shy, though her personal walls she's thrown up leave her emotionless in appearance most of the time. This can make her seem mysterious and somewhat eerie. But she's weak and sickly, and easily frightened a lot of the time, which makes her weary. Despite this she's kind and loving of those she knows and trusts, and would do anything for her family, friends and frequent customers. But scorn her, and she won't forget it, adding it to her vast amount of hurt and anger that has welled up over the years. Her desire for more gives her passion and drive, urging her to always learn more of her art as an apothecary, from perfumes to poisons, from herbs to flowers. She -will- be more than her parents, and she -will- be more than what they thought she was. She also holds a fascination with the concept of magic. Overall she's not an overbearing woman, a mysterious wallflower obscured by thorns, with delicate, easily marred petals.  +
Averie Ashford +Averie is not the shrinking violet her parents expected of her namesake. As a young child, she was always the first into a chamber or garden, toddling along with her hands stretched out, reaching for what she could not yet touch. As a young woman she is much the same, albeit her movement is far more graceful. An ardent adventurer, Averie is constantly in motion, an irrepressible force that drives for knowledge and the unknown once she has a vestige of what she might be looking for. There is no barrier or obstacle too great that will restrain her quest for understanding the great mysteries of the world.  +
Aviana Bertram +Known for being Intelligent and aware of her surroundings and things going on, Aviana is both sweet and quiet till you get to know her or she gets to know you. She is loyal and enjoys to have fun with friends and enjoys watching the spars and jousting. She is all about her love for sewing something she truly does love to do.  +
Avita Seraceni +Bold, brash, and audacious. Avita has never been a person that's afraid to share her opinion, it's just that she usually does it in such a way that her true intentions or feelings on the matter are often terribly difficult to ascertain. A master of the complisult, she has a way of saying the most horrendous things and making it sound like the sweetest of sentiments. Larger than life, an unrepentant hedonist at heart, the embodiment of dignified depravity, and ever so proud of it. She will live this life, damnit, and she'll leave nothing on the table but the sullied scraps. Sure, this will probably inevitably lead to a most spectacular, and likely messy end, but she's cool with it.  +
Avovorinth Seraceni +An odd sort, Avo (For short.) is an intense and strange mannered young man. He has a tendency to stare into the distance mid sentence. Can be sensitive to seemingly random words or phrases. Twitches on occasion as if terrified of something unseen by others. Avo is primarily gay but has some attraction to women as well.  +
Axel Culler +Axel is curious to a fault and his sharp wit supports him in his endeavors to fulfill his needs. He loves to stick his nose into everybody's business, regardless whether or not he should; the more interesting his current target is, the better. Money doesn't drive him, but it's still an important building block that helps further his goals. And information sells. The Lower Boroughs taught him to be careful with people he puts his trust into and that sometimes, only pretending to trust someone might suffice. Despite his seemingly cold appearance, he's rather affable and attentive.  +
Azhan Arrynfield +Most of the time open with those he meets, even if asked certain personal questions he won't shy away from them. Often his outward demeanor can be said to be thoughtful, usually weighing what he hears carefully before responding to subjects presented to him. All he cares to really do is study and share his thoughts on matter provided they are subjective in matter and not 'touchy'.  +
Azolla Nightgold +Sweet tempered and mild mannered. She talks very softly but that maybe due to the illness suffered as a child but she has a hauntingly beautiful voice. She is a very talented artist and musicain. Her easy going sweetness makes it easy for anyone to get along with her. She is always has perfect manners and there is an alluring grace about the way she speaks and moves.  +
Azova Darkwater +Azova’s roots are idealistic and ingenuous, a native optimism that simply could not survive the trials of reality, but they linger beneath a surface that life has hardened. She sees the best in people, and lavishes hope upon the world in the keen desire to shape it, change it, into something better than it is. That doesn’t mean she is blind to what is, but chooses to live in a world that she can effect, and focuses instead on what could be. She has a battlefield medic’s mouth — or a sailor’s, take your pick — and though her warmth and optimism shine like beacons from her eyes, it’s rare that she can get through a conversation delving into the startlingly profane. It’s easy to think that a kind woman is soft, but Azova is anything but: even-tempered and generous though she is, this is layering over a spine of solid steel. Her smile may be sweet, but that never made her less of a force to be reckoned with.  +
B
Babette Grayson +Babette is always thinking and she's always talking and often the two overlap in ways that end up with her foot placed squarely in her mouth. She's very smart and her mind is constantly turning things over so she often doesn't think before she speaks and then when she realizes what's happening gets flustered, which causes even more words to come tumbling out when oh gods she should just really stop now sorry! But she always means well and has a huge heart. She loves mysteries of all kinds, reading, and making friends. She's sociable and cheerful and amiable and ambitious, so what's not to like?  +
Baelor Keaton +If one were being unkind, you might call him dour. Or brooding even. Brooding is nicer than dour, but they all sort of make sense for the man. He might describe himself as taciturn. He is little reason to speak up and interject when so many people are quite willing to talk a fool of themselves around him. He has earned his prizes and run through the follys of youth enough that he doesn't feel like he should act the pup anymore. The man does better in small groups, perhaps drinking circles or with others closer to his age. The dint of experience weighs heavily upon this Oathlander and it isn't an easy burden to shoulder around the enthusiastic youth.  +
Baelos Redrain +Self-assured, rakish, reckless, brash. Baelos strides through life with the confidence afforded by his name and his youth. As quick with a jest as he is with his blade, Baelos seeks fun of all varieties, particularly if it involves trouble. Typically he affects a cool disposition, but his temper is as fiery as any Northman when provoked. That said, he is more often seen slapping backs than exchanging punches.  +
Bahiya Mathali +Warm and inviting, Bahiya is also amazingly stubborn and very independent. Observant to a fault, she's always eager to learn as much about anything that interests her as she can. Her joy is almost child-like, the steel in her spine a subtle thing, and while she may raise her voice to gain attention, she very rarely loses her temper.  +
Baldessare Velenosa +Passionate and driven, Baldessare is a hot core of dynamic ambition layered beneath a dry reserve. His sense of humor is understated, but rarely banished entirely. Wit earns his respect, and intelligence, his regard. Bravery is not an uncommon trait, but his is a courage fueled by self-assurance and tempered by a deeply grooved streak of grounded, solid common sense. He is a born "fixer" - a man who needs to resolve problems wherever they occur, whether they are actually his business or not. Puzzles need solving; battles need winning; emotional problems need... what? He's not sure but he'll definitely try to come up with it.  +
Baldwin Fidante +Baldwin can be described as emblematic at best; possessing a quiet confidence, a man of words only when they are needed and highly disciplined, perhaps since he has spent most of his life absorbed in martial training. His skill with weapons and tactics is well established, though he can sometimes provide advice to those interested with an even mind. He is patient, polite and seldom prone to outbursts of rage. However, those do happen, with all the righteous fury that entails.  +
Baltus Darkwater +Baltus is a self-assured man who lets little interfere with things he considers to be the logical path. He takes pride in his actions that are daring and goes forth with the risks, after weighing if they are worth it, to take the glory for himself, his family, and the Thrax Family. Baltus will protect those he holds dear with his life and lets his wrath be known when he feels someone is speaking ill of them. Baltus will often take the defense of his relatives too far, however, for he loses his logical sense of thinking when he sees red do to perceived slights against him and his own. Under his cool, confident facade it is found he is quite warm and open, with those he thinks of fondly.  +
Barbrey Blackwood +At first glance, one might assume that the winter years of Barbrey Blackwood's life have lent her an even temperment -- cool and gentle. But that would be a false assumption. Though she has changed with the wind, and changed with the times, her vigorous passion for life is ever-resting beneath the surface. Her reservation is a mere mask for the more proactive side of her: she would much rather charge into battle than sit around a dining table. Her demeanour to those around her can best be described as "frank" -- though she does not mock, and the barbs of her truth are not sharp, she does her best to avoid the pointless and poisonous platitudes of some other nobles. She is most chivalrous, some might say, when in her natural environment -- the wondrous outdoors, as befits those who cling onto shamanistic beliefs. Indeed, in spite of her martial demeanour, there is a wisdom in her knowledge of religion. She is a stalwart ally to those who would look upon her kindly -- but would make a fearsome foe indeed.  +
Barik Reed +Barik is obscenely sardonic and grim, with little patience for the plight of the common - or not so common - man and only so for those who promise him a bite of the proverbial apple. The innocence of youth long evaporated him into a perpetual state of cynical disconcert, appraising each and every passing countenance with visible skepticism to the on-looking eye. When speaking, a coherently gravel-like voice speaks, yet its pacing remains gracious; its nature roguish, and deceitful.  +
Barric Grayson +Barric Greyson is a man of pure blood, noble heritage, and an almost out of place drive to prove that he deserves them. He doesn?t view himself as superior, necessarily, but he sees his birth as a responsibility to fulfill, to be a protector of the people. Divine right comes with divine responsibility and he puts every effort into his study of the sword. He is a formidable warrior, because he has put in the practice to be so, leading by example, never shirking or trying to find the fast track. His courtly etiquette is beyond reproach, viewing the niceties as an honor to fulfill, and respect to give. In his mind, Glory will come, after Duty and Honor, and that is what made the Heroes of Old great. It is not something to seek out, but a natural result, and he remains humble when it is received. He feels there is a time and a place for everything, and when something happens out of that natural order, it sets him off balance and he can feel lost in situations far removed from the battlefields he knows. Being named Sword of Bastion was meant to be, but not until he had truly proven himself, so now he works twice as hard to be where he should have been to truly earn it. Outside of duty and honor, he finds great joy in the simple pleasures, enjoying the company of his fellows, but refuses to become the idle rich, having no patience for it and almost feels guilty when he finds any idle moments.  +
Bashira Ru-Taul +Bashira shares some of her older brother Caspian's personality for the bright and the dark. She admittedly is more guarded until she gets to know and trust people. Once she does though they've gained a pretty loyal friend. Almost to a fault sometimes. Her past has a lot to do with it, so would anyone blame a young woman for not wanting to get ensnared in some dark scheme or life again. She has a deep desire to learn and absorb as much as much of the Island Shav culture as she can. Even going to lengths as to learning some of the shamanistic practices. She has adopted the dress as well. Its an identity of her own that she was not afforded as a child. So she clings to it just a little.  +
Basilio Cabral +Anyone who knows Basilio knows that he's a summer child that hasn't quite grown up yet. His knack for finding humor and fun in the most dour and dreadful situations tends to annoy the more serious types, especially when his jokes are bad. Does he care? Not one bit. Okay, maybe a little, if a Thraxian lord threatened to mince his balls if he slugged out any more puns. While his free-spirited attitude can barely keep him still enough to read a book, he enjoys learning new things but prefers to learn them on the job. He is most often tempted to experiment on people, whether they realize it or not. On days when people don't interest him, he is happy enough being alone and satiating his curiosity with dives, collecting trinkets and memorabilia that have been forgotten beneath the waves.  +
Bastien +Bastien is a creature of extremes. He can be, at turns, laconic and morose or vibrant and energized. He feels his convictions -- which generally center on the hypocrisy of pretty much everyone in the world -- with a raging fire of passion. He is capable of great wit and eloquence, which often shows up in his work, and can sway an audience through words to either adore something or loathe it, but he lacks a sense of responsibility or practicality to make good use of his talents. He is prone to obsessiveness that tends to show up in a hunger-pang frame. The fact that he is forced to sometimes write work less than grand artistry or scathing satire -- for entertainment's sake, darling, please just take a break from all of those /feelings/ -- is a source of continual despair.  +

The fact that he is forced to sometimes write work less than grand artistry or scathing satire -- for entertainment's sake, darling, please just take a break from all of those /feelings/ -- is a source of continual despair.  +
Baz Thornburn +Baz (she has a full name, but don't dare call her that) is filled with the courage of her convictions. They take her to dizzying highs and exasperating lows. One moment the woman is passionately pursuing her muse, writing satire and drama to bring the world to its knees, and the next she spirals, sullen and withdrawn, holing up in the Thornburn family home in her little attic bolthole, smoking ceaselessly and staring out at the world in abject despair. Only when she is changing the world with her art is she exuberant, almost manic in her pursuit of critical acclaim and soul, as if the two could ever be found hand in hand.  +
Beatrice Malespero +Beatrice. Beh-ah-tree-chay. And that's /Lady/ Beatrice. This is a woman that sharp and witty and perfectly poised. Not always proper, but always proper for the situation, and always quick to upturn her nose and take note of bad behavior. It isn't that Beatrice is mean or petty, she is merely very aware of her own standing and that of others. After all, unlike most of her peers, Beatrice has done more with her life than be born. She earned her nobility, and so she demands the respect she is entitled to, and just the same expects other nobles to act respectfully. (And no, she's not going to admit there were some odd circumstances to her ennoblement, she earned it!) At the same time, she was born common, and knows what it's like to be in a tiered world, where privilege is so real, and so many do not have it. She does her best to respect commoners just the same, and encourage them toward greatness (all without acting common herself, no that wouldn't do at all).  +
Beatrix Corsetina +Whether the White Rose of the Corsetina family enjoys games of mystery or if she effortlessly plays them is up to anyone's guess. Always close but never within reach is her motto and she dances at that edge for her own amusement and nobody else's. To most the woman is aloof and undeniably attractive but to an attentive observer Beatrix enjoys being unknown, a ghost and muse to others around them. Beatrix relaxes around her family, showing the playful demeanor she so expertly hide to outsiders, but she is never without a few thorns to her.  +
Beaumont Valardin +Beaumont likes to live a little dangerously. Not too dangerously - he is a Prince, after all, fighting nonlethal duels for money and prestige. If that lifetsyle pits him against and amongst more unsavory types than your average Knightly man, it's not something he's terribly bitter (or concerned) about. Confident and personable, he finds little trouble fitting in and finding something to laugh over with nearly anyone. He can be impulsive and hot-tempered, though, finding most of his fellow Champions a bit too quick to become familiar. His anger is ususally as brief as it is sudden, and he's not too proud to diffuse the tension diplomatically.  +
Becka Honor +Becka is background noise in this world. She keeps her head down and stays out of trouble while trying to survive day to day. She's quiet and polite, that is, if anyone gives her the time of day. When she is around others of her status she opens up to become more warm and kind, but even then she has a habit of blending into the background and not being a bother. At times she can be caught laughing and enjoying herself, but these slivers of happiness rarely exist for now.  +
Bedivere Whitehawk +He is of commoner origin, but it is difficult to tell. Bedivere is a gentleman, a man of honor, and an intelligent man with few vices and considerable patience. Age and experience has tempered his optimism and idealism, but he still believes with skill and courage his men can do anything. He clearly cares about those under his command, but is willing to use them boldly if necessary. As a former commander of one of House Bislands most decorated cavalry squadrons, his skill on the battlefield is formidable. He constantly rethinks his plans to offset changes in circumstances, errors made by his commanders, or his orders being disobeyed. He is not rigidly attached to any plan if another will achieve his goal. When the odds are against him, he may make chancy and daring decisions, sometimes breaking with conventional combat tactics when time is against him. He is an attentive and responsible father, and the future of his children is his primary reason behind joining House Grayson. Bedivere has a notable distrust of the Shav'arani as a whole, likely due to his traumatic experiences while in captivity.  +
Behtuk Sanna +Behtuk's silence is often mistaken for ignorance, even stupidity, an impression he does not actively seek to dispel. He knows that his appearance leads to many assumptions about him. Rather than fight these miscconceptionsm, he allows them to guide him to those who will look past their prejudices and see the man underneath. Nevertheless, he rarely speaks in elaborate sentences, prefering to limit his words and let his deeds and his craft speak for him.  +
Bell Cleck +He talks a storm, rapidly and well, but he's cagey and careful, although given to a gently edged kind of humor that reveals more than conceals pain. He is hungry for tomorrows. And more tomorrows. And more tomorrows. He's both ambitious and collaborative, always looking for the path he can take with the person he's talking with. Right this moment.  +
Belladonna Pravus +Belladonna knows how easily it would be for her to be a truly wicked woman. Many of the city-states in the Lyceum tend toward cruel and insidious plots, sacrificing anything and everything for power. Belladonna is every bit as capable to play the same cutthroat games, and play them well, but has come to fear just how much she enjoys them. She loved her father, and his good heart very much, even as she saw how it destroyed him. It makes her determined, shrewd, and extremely capable of manipulative intrigue but she is well aware that ruthless maneuvers undermines her father's legacy and the hopes he cherished that she would follow him as an honorable, kindhearted ruler. For her enemies, she represents a contradiction of a dangerously charming woman that can be a deadly, conniving adversary yet remains capable of confounding acts of generosity and compassion that leaves opponents bemused on what could possibly be her hidden motive. It's more simple than that, really. She wants to be a good woman, strong and powerful, but she will stop at nothing to avoid the mistakes of her father.  +
Bellamy Redrain +To say that Bellamy might be the sweetest princess you'd ever meet might not be far from the truth. On the flipside, to say that she is the softest Redrain princess you'll ever meet is almost definitely the truth. A kind-hearted young woman taking her first steps out of a sheltered and more than a little pampered childhood. She would never have an unkind word to say about another, and she would surely give the clothing off of her back to someone in need but she's not the most aware of the struggle of the common people. She's all full of bright smiles, grand gestures that help the immediate but not long term problem, and a heart too sensitive to take even the mildest of criticism. She's sweet, but spoilt and soft.  +
Bellona Deucalion +Her voice resides in the part of the ear where secrets linger and the beguiling susurrus bespells; soft, charming and oracular, Bellona tempts like the woods at twilight - her siren call, both captivating and dangerous to those who would dare follow its song. Casuistry is her finest gift; she is as vulpine as the fox moving sinuously from snow-mound to snow-bound in the deep dark, her prey -the naive and superstitious whose pockets she feeds off of with predacious amusement.  +
Benedetto Velenosa +Benedetto is lively, charming, and vibrant. He can take this to obnoxious extremes. Witty, irrepressible and irresponsible, Benedetto is a master of deflection: he deflects insults, he deflects undue seriousness, he deflects unearned compliments. Slithering out of trouble is probably his chiefest accomplishment. He'd be the first to tell you that fun is his primary drive. Thirsty for gossip, delighted by social gatherings and generally an incredible showoff, he is quick to defend his family and friends with a bravura energy that rarely extends to self-protection.  +
Benedict Ferro +Benedict's personality could be considered a stick in the mud sometimes. Work and bettering himself be it knowledge or strength of some kind will be most of the time taken over 'fun' activities, with the occasional exception when the mood strikes him. He is long to anger, and he does not forget what people say or do very quickly. He is not one to hold grudges, but no tresspass against him or anyone he cares about will be quickly forgotten.  +
Benjamin Carver +Benjamin is a passionate, and passionately irreverent, rake with a tongue of silver and honey. He is seemingly set to remind the world not to take itself too seriously. It makes for a unique bedside manner while he's amputating gangrenous limbs, or merely colorful conversation for those who come in for the equally dire shave and trim. New experiences, for the better or the worse, are to be sought, appreciated, and learned from. He'll readily trade in stories and riddles, and rarely turns down a gamble. He takes great pleasure in indulging others as much as himself, frequently in the form of culinary delectables he's found and learned to recreate throughout his travels.  +
Benvolio Corvini +Benvolio is alternatively ruthless and lazy. While not ambitious, and content to permit his elder brothers and sisters to dictate the course of family affairs, he is a loyal and effective footsoldier. He is hedonistic and enjoys the trappings of wealth, including bright fashionable clothes, shiny new weapons, or fine horses.  +
Berenice Velenosa +Charming and tempestuous, Berenice loves to flirt with scandal. She enjoys sidling right up to the edge of it, hips swaying, and nudging at it with her toe. Possibly while maintaining eye contact and a smile, like a cat nudging a glass off a table. She quite enjoys people, with all the delights they present, and can traverse the social web with delightedly deft skill. Of course, friendship with Berenice may come with it a fiery blowup or two, but just wait a day: either the slight will be forgotten, or the friendship will. She is, at the very least, never a boring companion.  +
Berto Tiazza +Berto is warm and kind, with a genuinely amiable demeanor. Sure, he's definitely about the money now and again, but it's rare that he's going to go out of his way to gouge people. Given his quick and easy sense of humor, he's almost always laughing and smiling. He's also pretty drunk most of the time.  +
Bethany Mercier +Bethany has a mind like a steel trap, capable of understanding a situation before it fully unfolds. Being curious is her first nature, so this is partly a defense mechanism she's developed to avoid getting in trouble. Her skills in planning and accounting are noteworthy, which makes her a good fit for her career path, and trusted by her merchant father when it comes to managing her finances. While on the surface she is affable, Bethany tends to establish emotional boundaries between herself and her friends and acquaintances. She fears being hurt and feels safe only when she has control of the relationship.  +
Bhandn Yvar +Before he met Valena Eseri in the course of his travels, many had called Sir Bhandn Yvar "serious enough to make a lecture seem exciting." In many ways, he still is. On the road, he tolerates nonsense as much as he does his traveling charges being assailed. Anything and everything that could clearly endanger those in his charge are prone for stern rebuke. Their safety -- his duty -- comes before all else. Similar thinking exists for keeping himself in fighting condition. Over the course of the past thirty years, however, the stony wall that was his typical demeanor has gradually begun to erode. During his brief rests in civilized areas, he is far more likely to be found engaged in banter-filled labor and physical competitions, rather than simply brooding while laboring to keep his armaments in good condition.  +
Bianca Wyrmguard +Composed of ineffable poise and grace, her words laced with uncanny wisdom, and possessed of a calm disposition that seems capable of weathering even the worst of storms, Bianca Wyrmguard is always ready with a kind word or advice to those in need of it, putting a sharp and empathetic mind to work in helping the people around her. But while she is undoubtedly warm, it is a distant warmth. Bianca often exists at a remove from others, playing most of her private thoughts and feelings close to the vest, and rarely speaks about herself, preferring instead to focus on the needs of others. Behind all those layers lies a naturally pragmatic woman who nonetheless finds deep fascination in the human condition and is endlessly in passionate pursuit of new knowledge and new experiences. Recent years, however, have seen a slow shift in Bianca's outlook and behavior, and her deep well of calm has been steadily coupled with a biting and incisive wit that has little tolerance for foolishness. Increasingly willing to embrace her own, personal ambitions, Bianca is implacable once she puts her mind to something -- to the point of an unfortunate tendency towards overworking herself; a fact that she will persistently disavow right up to the point she passes out in the middle of her adamant denial.  +
Bjorn Grimhall +Bjorn is a man shaped by his personal tragedies. A life of watching emotions be the downfall of men and women he's loved has changed him into a soldier of crisp professionalism. Calm, often cool and aloof, his demeanor often gives a false indication of a man completely detached by the consequences of his work, but nothing could be further from the truth. He embraces what he's need to become to ever prevent anyone else from feeling the brutal losses that still haunt him. When not in a professional setting, the ice thaws, but even then he is the sort to only drink towards moderation. Someone has to keep their head about them, after all.  +
Blacktongue Artiglio +Being a jester wasn't Blacktongue's first choice, but he always had a playful spirit, keeping his brother and nephew in good humors. He views his position as one of honor, being trusted by the family to speak his mind in an entertaining fashion with only a slim chance he'll be executed for it? It's like a dream come true. The only care he takes is to not bring shame on the Velenosa family, or take a jest too far. He didn't spend years practically killing himself to mock them now in a way that would cause true injury. His general mood tends to be one of hope and cheer, though, should anyone anger him, or harm his family, blood and fealty, he can be biting, sarcastic, and downright cruel. He tends to live each day as if it were his last, mostly out of habit from his days when that was potentially his fate every meal.  +
Blair Elricks +Blair is a friendly, honest sort of girl. Always trying to do her best to impress her family and superiors. She sometimes seems to zone out. She claims this is because the spirits are speaking with her. Though it could just be an oddity. She thrives in the midst of combat though, loving to spar and even true battles. She is most at home on the battlefield.  +
Bliss Whisper +Celia was never satisfied. As she's gotten older, she's discovered ways to find (fleeting) satisfaction, but her desire for a good time outstrips all. She likes fun, and irreverence, and doing whatever she wants, when she wants. No one always gets what they like, of course, and Bliss can certainly play along with social mores when it suits her. She's even patient, in a terrifyingly predatorial sort of way. She might play along for days, weeks - even years! As long as she wants the payoff badly enough, it doesn't bother her. Conversely, if something that seemed like a good, fun idea loses its lustre, she won't hesitate to drop it - forgotten just as fast as last week's breakfast. Bliss is the sort of woman who might be perplexed at someone attacking her for something she said last Tuesday. "But, that was three weeks ago!" She burns hot and hard, but once it's done (or once she's won), she is gracious with her forgiveness.  +
Blossom Corsetina +Sweet, friendly, kind, and not-all-there are the best ways to describe Blossom. It's as if she lives in her own little world that intersects with our own only sometimes, and never reliably. She regularly gets lost in her work, in her thoughts, in the city... sometimes she'll forget to wash the paint off of her hands, or forget to bring her purse to the market, or forget she's talking to someone in the middle of a conversation. She takes people at face value - perhaps because she's never paying enough attention to see the undercurrent - but still somehow manages to avoid danger through sheer luck.  +
Blush Prismatics +The consummate gentleman, Blush ascribes very much to the lifestyle of a bon vivant. He enjoys life in all its aspects, but expects a certain level of sophistication and a splash of refinement as lovely garnishes to this tasty dish of an existence. That isn't to say his idea of sophistication and refinement are correct, because he often chooses to express his enjoyment through flamboyant clothing that captures each color of the rainbow. He holds a strange fascination for the lives of others, to the point of nosiness, and he is always willing to give free advice! His advice, however, comes with the caveat that it is the other's choice - even if he stresses, always, how much freedom from anything that holds one down is the correct, one and only, ultimate, and perfect choice.  +
Bonibel Barleycorn +Sensible. Bonibel has always been the pragmatic sort. Stubborn and quick-witted this young woman can sometimes be abrasive but it's usually out of a lack of time more than it is a lack of patience. A hard life as a Prodigal and living in the Lowers has tempered her over time making her slow to anger and wields a glass-half-full view of the world. She just doesn't have the time for sulking.  +
Bonnie Shepherd +With a sublimely self-confident swagger and utter fearlessness that could verge on the reckless, Bonnie is a woman unaccustomed to seeing any setback or difficulty as anything but an intriguing challenge to be tackled. An unapologetic bon vivant, Bonnie is a connoisseur of all that life has to offer, and laughs off social mores or a sense of shame in the pursuit of whatever catches her fancy.  +
Bors Keaton +In a word, severity. This is very little give in this Oathlands Knight. As rigid in posture as he is in adherence to the principles of Chivalry and Honor. He is the epitome of a Knight of the West, fulfilling the stereotypes in both positive and negative ways. He is polite to all, in a gruff sort of way, formal and exacting in his expectation of the manners of those around him. He will be the first to defend the defenseless (should they be on the right side of the law) and the last to leave the field of battle, exacting the last drop of payment from the enemy and defending the rest of his brethren. He is a hard man, but his loyalty is stronger than steel and like honor, never bends.  +
Bosco Caputo +No one has ever accused Bosco of being charming, witty or joyful. He's stubborn, that's for sure and often slips into snap judgments about people, places or things that are then hard to shift. There is a certain amount of bitterness about him that he doesn't express, and an often surly temprament that is prone to introspection. He's mostly pragmatic, and definitely capable. His passions (or perhaps outlets) are smithing and fighting, both of which involve beating something. Not quick to anger and there's often a weariness about any heated temper that suggests this wasn't always the case. He is capable of an affable good humour, although it doesn't always make it all the way to his eyes.  +
Brace Din +As ever changing as the tide, Brace reflects that which she is presented with. On the surface, she is a woman of incredible grace and consideration, however something far darker lies beneath.  +
Braden Laurent +Braden is generally rather carefree, enjoying being kind of laid back, that is, until he needs to be serious. Usually occuring when someone is in danger. He see's it as his job to keep his friends and family safe. His desire to protect does not stop there. He would lay down his life to keep just about anyone alive. He takes his training seriously, but on his off time he is quick to be a little snarky and a bit of a trouble maker.  +
Brady Grayhope +Look, everybody needs somebody sometime, and Brady's pretty good at becoming whatever's needed for any given situation. Manual labor? Check. Mercenary work? Why not? He loves hats! Arm candy? Okay, but shaving costs extra. Haze hookup? Sure, he can get that for you. Anything less savory, I mean why not, but it'll might cost you, because a night in the cells is so bad for the skin. Easygoing, wisecracking, friendly almost to a fault, he tries to stay mellow and keep on everybody's good side, and he can be irresistably innocuous. Of course, the ingenuous charm can be hard to turn off, and some people have gone so far as to say they find Brady obnoxious, which is just a heartbreaking thing to say.  +
Braelynn Deepwood +Cheerful and blithe, Braelynn is most often found smiling about something. The world seems full of endless amusement to her, and she is genial of spirit and light of heart. She's an outdoors type, who gets restless if she's cooped up too long, but the peace she finds in the woods keeps her happy. Sometimes her attention drifts, and she'll smile at nothing at all - but mostly she is warm and friendly, a pleasure to be around and quite easygoing.  +
Braith Mazetti +Braith is an animated, lively young woman, full of vim and vigor. Her spirit rarely flags. She tells stories and puts them to music; she yearns for the limelight and owns it with the full power of her panache whenever she can. She loves learning about new things and trying to figure out how to rhyme them. She falls in love easily and often, bright with passion and full of fire; in the wake of her amorous adventures, she tends to castigate her former lovers in hilarious and sometimes ribald song. Witty and sassy, Braith pretends that she isn't at all insecure or lonely, but it's a pretense that doesn't always hold up.  +
Braith Sanna +Braith is an animated, lively young woman, full of vim and vigor. +
Bran Ravenseye +Thoughtful would likely be how most of Ravenseye would describe Bran. A far thinking individual, he's never been slow witted--far from it, in fact--but he tends to take his time when possible, looking over a situation from all angles. Laying plans that won't come to fruition for years, but when they do bear fruit are remarked upon for their foresight. Just because he's a thinker though doesn't mean he's not quick with an easy smile, and a warm embrace. While stern and implacable when he needs to be, Bran would rather make friends than enemies. He treats his house's vassals like family, a warm father figure. Authoritative, and commanding, but out of a desire to see them achieve their own potential, rather than bettering his own standing.  +
Branan Dominici +A pensive, bookish man who prefers to deal with the quill and ink, rather than with people when he can avoid it. Branan displays a stark preference for libraries to marketplaces and for the silence of catacombs to the din of a crowd. With a furtive gaze that flicks here and there nervous hands always in motion, his overall bearing is one of anxious scholastic mediocrity.  +
Branimir Eswynd +Everything about him is loud, his voice booms and fills space around him, and his laughter is thunderous. His rare temper is an equally fierce thing, burning bright but quickly running out of fuel. But Branimir's personality trends towards the jovial, he has seen and survived enough to know one should drink deep from the cup of life at every opportunity. While many of the younger reavers who are sworn to Eswynd regard their new liege with suspicion, Branimir sees the potential in this relationship and counsels his nephews to strengthen their ties with Thrax and the Mourning Isles. Then maybe even with the Compact!  +
Brannen Harthall +Few children have been as severe as Brannen. It seemed he was always of complete understanding and acceptance of his responsibility. Driven, focused, responsible. However there is something about Brannen that separates him from most of his dour compatriots. Brannen is not one to look down upon carefree, jovial, or happy-go-lucky types. Brannen loves them, like his twin sister. However Brannen has always understood that beacons of happiness and creativity cannot fully protect themselves, he sees himself as a guardian of beauty of the world and someone has to be a little bit boring to protect such things. It might as well be Brannen. Though he is not the most charming, Brannen knows how to lead. He may not be well liked, but he is respected by those under his command. A true stalwart, Brannen may be seen by many as a dullard, though the man truly can respect a well crafted joke or prank, however he is more focused on his duty and making sure the Right Thing is done. Brannen lives his life for honor and the Gods, he is constantly prepared to make the necessary sacrifices to protect what he loves.  +
Branwen Stormfeather +She would much rather surround herself with nature and animals then with people. But, feeling that the spirits need her to help her fellow humans, Branwen reluctantly seeks out venues where she can offer her assistance to those in need. If there is an animal in distress that she can help, all the better. She comes across as quiet, but stubborn. And sometimes off in her own little world, though if one were to ask her a question she would surprise them with a detailed response. Whatever else may be happening around her though, she tries to be thoughtful and thorough, even when she has no wisdom to offer.  +
Brass Not anymore +Brass is just full of personality! Funny and sarcastic without the meanspiritedness that would make him truly snarky, he can't quite conceal his mostly good heart, even if his brash enthusiasm sometimes causes him to make rash (and unkind) decisions. See, he's cocky, and arrogant, and even if it started as a way to conceal his gooey, uncertain, vulnerable insides...after centuries, it stuck.  +
Braxas Songweaver +Braxas loves nothing quite so much as his freedom. He goes where he wants and does what he wants, he doesn't care what people think of him. He can be a bit mean or abrasive at times, he has a silver tongue but sometimes it just...turns off. Braxas is the kind of bard parents warn thier children to avoid. But just because he is selfish and a loner at heart doesn't mean he lacks talent.  +
Breccan Malere +Known to smile often and with an infectious personality that seeks to get a grin from even the most austere, Breccan is unabashed in all sorts of company. Not one to seek confrontation, he instead searches for reasoning and solutions. While not easily given in to anger with a patience that has been tested through many trials, there are very few who have been able to push him far enough where wrath is presented - but Pantheon bless the poor soul who does.  +
Bree Harthall +Bree's family always said that ever since she was born the sun was just a little bit dimmer, because it gave part of its light to Bree. She has always been addicted to stories, and becoming the hero of those stories. She is radiance and generally the most optimistic person in the room. It is hard to dim her mood. It is extremely difficult to take away from her jubilance. Bree is extremely talented at finding the silver lining in things. And also extremely good at shrugging things off. If people don't like her upbeat attitude, she is rarely offended. She is aware that she is somewhat naive that her bright and excitable nature could lead some to take advantage of her... But she's pretty sure that won't happen! Why would people do that when you're nice to them! She takes everything about Gild VERY seriously, and is a firm believer that all problems in the world can either be stabbed to death with her blade, or hugged to death. But not really death. Just until it's brought around. Even with her upbeat attitude, she's still a soldier. So at times she can be slightly offputting when she's being so cheery after she's just felled an enemy of the compact, blood still on her blade.  +
Breidaia Ferchyn +Breidaia has a booming, wide personality that takes the world by the horns. Not for her the days of living quietly at the fireside, shrinking away from the plate full of delicious possibilities. She has gained refinement over the years, but that hasn't dulled her enthusiasm more than a shade. The expectations to pony up and behave well with a crew rather than acting the freewheeling hellion still have their effect. Beneath the polite graces, a veneer only skin deep, lies the vigorous fire that will sail to unknown shores and go where others might fear to sail or tread. She has a thorough appreciation of risk and an appetite for adventure. But Breidaia too is the leader and mother hen over those under her charge, and she constantly takes measures to assure their safety. She isn't reckless or irresponsible, but an irrepressible force no more contained than the sea.  +
Brianna Halfshav +Brianna never quite settled into the role of a proper lady. She is courteous, graceful, demure when needs be, and knows all the steps of the courtly dance, but it's all practice, rather than natural ability. She loves to laugh at raunchy humor, and dance a bawdy dance. She loves living in Arx, because it lets her dress in the nigh-scandalous fashions of the Lyceum - which show more skin than is practical in the cold North. She's rarely inappropriate and never so by intention, but she loves how the Velenosa skirt that line, and the rich sparkles of the Grayson mines. She can be vain, cruel, and terrible when she needs to be, but mostly she simply wants to experience life like few can. She made for warfare and the adventures that go with it, and she makes her own adventures in the wilds of the city life. Little ignite the wild fury she feels like the Shav that terrorize her homeland, and she becomes completely irrational when talk turns to them and their ilk.  +
Briar Marjawn +As a child he was called 'wild child'. That wild has transformed into a fierce sense of loyalty and duty. That applies to his vocation just as well as the rest of his life. But he is also fierce in everything. In his joy, in his anger, in his pain. Though he may wish, it is a struggle for him to leash his enthusiasm and seemingly endless energy.  +
Bridget Pravus +A flighty young woman with half a brain, or perhaps slightly less than half. She enjoys books, but rarely finds herself reading them all the way through. She also tends to forget the stories, so it doesn't really matter if she finishes them anyways. She is somewhat clumsy, has a bad taste in fashion, and is generally tone deaf, but despite her odd qualities and grim life, she is pleasant enough. She is generally in good spirits, and has a refreshing air of whimsical innocence to her. If kindness and enthusiasm were admirable qualities, she would have a rating of 10 out of 10, but they aren't. If she were a peasant she would have been food for the wolves, but luckily the girl was born into a noble family, so instead she is food for the mindless politics of noble houses.  +
Brier Crovane +While Brier is more subdued since the death of her late husband, there is still a fiery passion inside of her that is tempered by a strong will and hot headed streak. There is no doubt that while Brier is capable of playing up her role as a Lady, there is even less doubt that she would prefer nothing more than to just be rough housing or shaping iron and steel.  +
Brigid Inverno +A quiet presence, there was something to be said about the silence she often holds when in conversation or working stringently with the hooved beasts she trained, as all she had to say was in the set of her eyes, the quirk of her mouth, or the power of her stance. Given to words that held a lesson or meaning, it was rare for her to blunder into a situation without giving it some forethought and the same is to be said about outward emotion. While not visibly cold, some might describe her as lukewarm until they get to know the true woman beneath the layers of polite reticence.  +
Brigid Moore +A quiet presence, there was something to be said about the silence she often holds when in conversation or working stringently with the hooved beasts she trained, as all she had to say was in the set of her eyes, the quirk of her mouth, or the power of her stance. Given to words that held a lesson or meaning, it was rare for her to blunder into a situation without giving it some forethought and the same is to be said about outward emotion. While not visibly cold, some might describe her as lukewarm until they get to know the true woman beneath the layers of polite reticence.  +
Brigida Fidante +Brigida has lived through it, whatever it is. Loss, death, war, love, tragedy, dreams dying aborning, dreams awakening: she's been there. She knows. Her wisdom is cut with no little vinegar. She is fierce and bold behind an iron propriety that has been cultivated with age, and only occasionally is breached to deliberately shock people. Tough, tough-minded, and without compunction about doing what needs done, she is socially extremely perceptive, clever, and can be as manipulative as an entire league of grandmothers working in concert.  +
Briseis Morgan +Briseis is very much the product of her dual heritage. From her Oathlander father, she learned determination, honor, diligence, fidelity. From her Northerner mother, she learned wit, stubbornness, confidence, and an overabundance of, for lack of a better word, sass. Briseis sparkles: not just with the warmth of an extrovert who enjoys people, but with the keen, determined insight of a sharp mind. Her manner is often light and friendly, even bubbly and effusive at times, but she has a fiercely tempered core of steel to her that comes out in defense of her family, those close to her, and her own ideals and convictions. The fact that her occasional bursts of righteous indignation can sometimes be a bit comical due to her smaller stature and youthful appearance is a continual frustration for her, but her tongue can be so sharp at those moments that people rarely laugh for long.  +
Brogan Nightgold +Brogan is larger than life: big, roaring laughter, a lusty temperament, and the wild abandonment of a man who refuses to sink into gloom or sadness. When the going gets tough, Brogan finds a new way to go. In the past, when doom and depression threatened him, he embraced an entirely new life philosophy to avoid it. He is his own unique kind of adaptable. He loves drinking, fighting, smashing tables, gambling, screwing, dancing, singing, throwing people into walls, wrestling bears -- well, okay, that was one time -- and generally, being an uproarious and outrageous fellow. There are depths to Brogan and to his passions, but he spends most of his time doing his damnedest to just be one hell of a guy.  +
Bron Aisling +Generally amiable and happy go lucky, it's when challenged that Bron's competitive streak comes to the fore. A former soldier he is fiercely loyal to those who prove worthy of it but views cowadice as the gravest of sins. While he can work with others he is fiercely self reliant, a useful trait in the wilds of the North.  +
Bruce Valardin +Bruce was a rowdy child. Despite his rigorous training and studies, he was a big personality, always quick to laugh and have fun. Ambitious, driven, focused. He was an accomplished squire, a talented horseman and a skilled swordsman. The Tragedy and abrupt death of his parents shook him, but he braved it. Shrugged it off, smiled and inspired confidence in his family and friends. He was studious, pious, courageous, exceptionally big and strong. Everything a family could ask for in a young knight. When he rode off to fight for months at a time in the Silent War, Gyre War, or in the countless campaigns against hostile abandoned, it slowly steeled his resolve. He proved himself time and time again in fiery combat. He survived. But it changed him. He became more quiet, reserved, stoic. The smiles came farther and fewer between. After High Hill, Bruce never returned to his former self. He's grizzled, stern, a bit distant. While there's still life to the veteran knight, it takes time to bring it out.  +
Bryndis Nightgold +A being of pure action, there is no hesitation, no reluctance. She is always focused on the next step, the next improvement, and while much of that can happen through physical action, she doesn't always forget that book knowledge also proves to be helpful. In addition to being goal oriented, she's pleasant, cheerful, and outgoing in a way that matches the rest of her focused drive when she's not lapsing into quiet bouts of melancholy. The changes in behavior from forceful personality to quiet storm cloud can be slow progressions or quick changes, sometimes with nothing explaining why the sudden change.  +
Brynja Blackwood +Brusque, churlish, rude - or just bitchy, if one doesn't want to bother with propriety - are all attributes friends and foes alike have ascribed to Brynja at some point or another. She is friendly and can hold her drink, too, but she sets high personal standards for herself and doesn't suffer the lamentations of fools easily. She is a fierce protector of her family and friends, even if she doesn't like them much; this is likely to get her into more trouble than anything else in the new world she resides in. Also, she has a fondness for wolves. Who would have guessed?  +
C
Cabrera Godsworn +Clever and quick, energetic and vivacious, Cabrera's is the kind of charm that can be hard to keep up with. His sass could get him in trouble more often if his smile were less winsome, but his engaging humor and bright eyes are welcoming, inviting, encouraging people to join him in the laugh, whatever it happens to be. More a wordsmith than a prankster, he prefers not to punch 'down', and tries to keep a bright, upbeat approach to life and service, encouraging people to embrace life with both arms. Passion is his watchword, service his focus, and life his reward. While he is a serving priest and serving soldier, he's also a devil-may-care punster, ribald roisterer, and stylish man about town. Turn down no opportunity, leave no stone unturned for what curiosity might reveal beneath, and definitely never leave a party without dancing.  +
Cade none +Cold and uncaring. These two words couldn't be any more accurate in describing Cade. Having no experience in truly expressing one's self, Cade comes off as someone who is boring and abrupt, due to this, those who have encountered him once usually steer clear. Not that it matters to him for he does not stay in one place for too long. Despite this, Cade's work ethic is commendable, doing odd jobs in the most efficient ways, earning the respect of his short-term employers.  +
Cadenza Fidante +Cadenza Velenosa is an Adventurer with a capital A, a capital A for alacrity, abandon, audacity, or maybe just awesome. There's some measure of arrogance there, too, of course; but it's not like she doesn't have the public cachet to back that up. She is, after all, a Princess of the Lyceum, and with her sense of timing, she has a measure of patience, a measure of composure, of control -- or maybe has learned to fake composure by raw force of will. It's true that she never saw a swash she didn't want to buckle. Life has gifted her with not so much caution -- who has the time? -- but a sense of timing keyed to a self-preservatory instinct, so that her ambition and her lust for life drive her, but do not rule her. She doesn't charge headlong into trouble; she calculates precise angles of trouble and /then/ sidles obliquely into it, instead. One of nature's gamblers, Cadenza would probably have to admit, if pressed, that she finds risk to be a seductive lure in and of itself.  +
Cadenza Velenosa +Cadenza Velenosa is an Adventurer with a capital A, a capital A for alacrity, abandon, audacity, or maybe just awesome. +
Cadern Blackwood +Cadern thrives in the cultural mishmosh of Arx. Chameleonic, he has subsumed himself entirely into the role of the playboy man-about-town, progressive and aggressive in his sampling of new things and his embrace of cultures beyond his own. Impish, good-humored and mischevious, he never found a good or bad joke he didn’t like, and he laughs just as much when he is the butt of a prank as when he masterminds one. He is clever and quick, witty and resourceful, and has an uncanny knack for when to use puppy dog eyes to good account. Fast talking, fast walking, with a short attention span that speeds him from interest and hobby to interest and hobby at breakneck speed, he is at home everywhere, and inclined to make friends with everyone. It’s very easy to find him obnoxious and like him anyway.  +

Caelis Malvici +Caelis is an iquisitive and thoughtful woman. She favors activity, being in motion is much more preferable to being decoration and sitting around. She craves challenge and adventure, wanting to see, try, feel new things. Her temper is slow to build, but once she snaps, it's unforgiving. She can hold grudges for years with out a thought.  +

Caera Tortorici +Witty and fiesty, she may be small but she is made sure she is heard. Loyal to a fault to those she is dedicated to, she is focused on work she has taken on. She can be curious and playful, still not having been jaded by the cruelty of life. As friendly as she is, it is somewhat an outer facade. She is distrustful of outsiders but uses her smile to watch behind.  +
Caerdroc Woodbine +Quiet but passionate, Caerdroc is a man of long silences but deep warmth. His loyalties run very deep and pure, yet there is a whisper of the tragic to him. Where he was once a faithful and religious man, now he goes to shrines plagued by doubt and uncertainty, with questions he does not know how to ask. He fights loyally for the Bislands but his personal history is such that he cannot but recognize the humanity of their foe. Bound by honor, love and history, Caerdroc stands in the center of a web of connection that makes his daughter's well-being entirely paramount, and forces him out of what might be his comfort zone and into a world that requires socialization and growth. That said, for all that Caerdroc is at his most peaceful in the quiet woods surrounded by animals and not people, his love of the woods is an expansive, open-hearted love, and leads him to wish to share it, spread it, and make it known. He fights out of duty and passion, but in his heart, he prefers an absence of violence, and would love nothing better than to create a world for the next generation where no one would ever need to nock arrow to bow. (Fat chance of that, but ... you know.)  +
Cahal Blackram +Cahal's a man of layers. Outside the family, amongst those he's not really sure about, he's an outgoing, boisterous and rather loud man with a penchant for telling unbelievable stories. Everyones friend he's quick to laugh, hard to anger and oftentimes viewed as being interested in nothing but the pleasures of the moment. But his loved ones get to see more. Behind the bluster there is reliable man with a deep deep core of loyalty and a willingness to go through hell for his kin. Patient, with a critical eye that catches a lot of details others would miss, he has the ability to play a long game.  +

Cai Falken +Gruff and aloof, Cai is a man who prefers the great outdoors to confines of city life. A man of means, anything he's needed, he's done by barter and trading, living off nature and the woods. While he might be rough around the edges and having to live in a city has done nothing for that, he's at the very least someone dependable, even if most of his opinions are laced with a certain degree of sarcasm. He's practical, and while he'll offer a helping hand, it doesn't mean he won't grouse a bit for having to do so.  +
Cailean Grimes +Cailean is the quiet and introspective type but that doesn't mean he's unfriendly or terribly serious; it's exactly the opposite. Once you crack the exterior, you will find a friendly and witty man who just so happens to be a great listener.  +
Cain Crown +Cain has embraced the streets and in a way, treats the Lower Boroughs as his little playground. It's a dangerous playground, and he is aware of it. But that danger has its appeal, and Cain doesn't shy away from throwing himself right in the middle of things if he thinks it worth it. Caution is not his strongest suit. He is generally easygoing, and a great drinking partner, until he's not. When angry, he can be quite brutal and cruel in his treatment of others. While his fortune telling started as a way to get by, it's become a point of pride for him. He enjoys it when others come to him for advice, or trinkets to guarantee good fortune. He often claims fortune is his mistress, and when confronted about his own status in life, he quickly dismisses it as it being his choice.  +
Caith Thrax +There is an unassuming energy about Caith, a warm, vivacious outpouring of herself into her surroundings that, despite her occasional forays into the fantastical or strange and a tendency to occasionally take metaphors really just too far, makes it difficult not to like her at least a little bit. Imaginative, creative and deeply generous, Caith's passion for life, for story and for a general, optimistic embrace of common humanity makes her a lively addition to most social situations. She wants adventure and romance, although to be clear, not too much romance, because she doesn't want to be tied down. She wants to be free to see the world. She wants to help people, and to give away more than she gets, but also not to give away too much, because she recognizes that it costs money to outfit an expedition, and to keep a girl in books she hasn't read. There is an elegance to her, a freewheeling grace, a lure that is hard to resist.  +
Caius Valardin +Caius is intelligent, commanding and deeply loyal. It was his loyalty to his wife that saw him step away from the world when he lost her and it was that same loyalty, this time to house, that brought him back. As for the brashness and anger of youth, it finds occasional purchase in the man he is now, though a more thoughtful approach to the ties between people, houses and duty shape his actions in maturity. Since the loss of his wife, he struggles to navigate his own sense of duty and honor, often using it to set boundaries about himself even as he looks to re-engage the world.  +
Calandra Culler +Calandra loves to be loved. She loves to watch the faces of those that hear her sing, and soak up their adoration and praise. She has more than a little pride, but it's tempered with actually enjoying to entertain people. It's a symbiotic relationship that the songstress revels in. She loves the dirt and grit of the lower boroughs, partly because of how she outshines it, but partly because there is such character and greatness within its alleys. It's home, for better or worse. Certainly, she loves the beautiful fashions of the nobility, but not so much that she wants to be one. People are free in the dirty streets, to truly be who they are meant to be. Calandra can't bear the thought of being without that freedom, as she is determined to discover her destiny.  +
Calarian Grayson +In a family of adventurers, it's not that Calarian doesn't fit, it's just that his particular excitement draws him in a slightly different direction than exploring ruins or swashbuckling through the forest: Calarian explores people. In familiar company, he is prone to a certain dry wit and humor, but he has a knack for finding a comfortable slot to fill with all variety of people, which made his calling to diplomacy clear from a young age. He does not yearn to dirty himself in outdoor exploration, but he's not bothered; above all, Calarian adapts to what the situation requires of him. He absorbs the cultures of others readily, finding fascination with all the differences and similarities, which lets him find ready common ground. He is patient, perceptive, and difficult to offend, despite his precise, impeccable etiquette; he may make high demands of the behavior of those in his house, but it is because he understands the intricacies and importance of the dance of manners. His loyalty to his house and his family is unwavering -- as is his belief in their place as rulers of the Compact.  +

Calathane Drumenach +Stoic and calm, but in the eyes rest the gleam of the hunter.  +
Calaudrin Estardes +Calaudrin has seen some shit. He's seen your shit, their shit, and most importantly, he's seen his own shit. He's not interested in it. He's got a good balance of aggressive competence and world-weary snark that allows him to approach the world with the kind of perspective that one of nature's watchmen needs. There are a few things that are core to his worldview: if you're running away, he's chasing you, probably because you're running away. If there's a nasty problem that he can't get to the bottom of, the reason he can't get to the bottom of it probably has to do with money; he is leery of corruption and skeptical about its absence. He is honest to a fault and will speak truth to power because he lacks the patience to do otherwise. He is reliable and steady but holds a healthy dose of personal caution that sometimes (not infrequently) fails to overbear his native stubbornness. He is pathologically incapable of letting go once he lets something take hold of him. He's really bad with relationships because it's not so much that he loves his job as that he finds it impossible to escape from it. He does his best work in the middle of the night. He probably drinks too much, because see above about all that shit he's seen.  +
Calevaro Stars +Calevaro is, at heart, a generous person. He cares about other people's problems and always tries to aleviate their pain. He tends not to judge people based on their social position, preferring to let their atitudes show who they really are. He's alsso quick to feel anger, tough he tries not to let his emotions guide his actions.  +
Caliban Assacu +While he's certainly happy to voice his opinions when whim takes him, Caliban tends toward an easy, relaxed demeanor. At times it can even be a bit irritating, as he's cheerfully committed to being cheerfully uncommitted; even with matters he takes seriously, it's rare for him to maintain any level of solemnity for long. His temper doesn't rise often, and when it does, it's usually a brief little flame, quickly snuffed. Usually. Usually.  +
Calista Fidante +Wild and passionate, living for the moment and thinking later on consequences, Calista was a nightmare for her many, many tutors trying to impress the need for propriety and restraint upon the infectiously charming young noblewoman. It's not that she doesn't understand the implications for scandal or how 'bad' behavior can horrify the oh-so-proper well heeled members of the Peerage, she simply feels if none of them know how to enjoy themselves it is hardly her problem and that if she makes a few elderly stuffy dukes drop dead in apoplexy from witnessing libertine behavior then perhaps Arx will be better for it. Still, she's more reserved (by her standards) around her far social superiors that could actually inflict real consequences upon her. She enjoys finding out where the limits lay, and just how close she can get to the line without crossing it.  +
Calla Vaevici +Love your family. Love your country. Love your people. There is no room in the Code for one's self, and Calla wishes she was better than she is, for even though she has memorized the lessons, she still is not comfortable with the eyes she gets from the woman in her mirror. Granted, she was never the best Vaevici, that honor reserved to literally ever other kinsmen of hers. The catch is that now they are dead, and Calla is the leader of those who remain, responsible for carrying her family's legacy. Even though her people are happy, Calla cannot convince herself. The Code demands perfection, and Calla has locked in her head her own worst judge. Sometimes the reprimands take the voice of her mother, sometimes her father's or siblings', but they always find something to use against her. Although she is personable, dignified and insightful to most, quite capable of hiding her own insecurities, truth is she might have lost her chance at sleeping soundly at night. This is her burden to bear, for her family, for her country and for her people.  +
Calliope Grimhall +Somewhat shy until comfortable, and yet, with a core of steel, she's not a doormat.  +
Calypso Malvici +Calypso Malvici never forgets that she holds the burden of command. She is tireless in the pursuit of excellence in herself and in her subordinates. She has generally been content to leave the politics to her brother, but when she and Hadrian clash is frequently over military risks. Her devotion to her troops leaves her distrustful of political risks that can cost lives. She distrusts notions of "honorable warfare" just as much. She is a deep thinker in whom duty and loyalty are second nature. That everyone she doesn't trust is implicitly suspect is a rarely-voiced belief, but it guides her actions. Calypso is deeply compassionate and implacable both. She sees no contradiction.  +
Cambria Mazetti +A Thraxian might call her tempestuous. An Oathlander wilful. Those of the Lyceum have their own words and phrases which are best not repeated here. All that is to say Cambria is neither meek nor timid, and despite her smaller stature, she is unafraid to stand up for herself and speak her mind. Cambria can also appear aloof, even distant, leaving others to assume she is without concern or care. Time spent in her company, however, reveals a woman who is actually quite attentive.  +
Camilla Pravus +Camilla has a dark edge to every thing she does: from how she slinks across ballrooms to the way she talks and dresses, there seems to be an natural disposition in the woman to evoke that which might find taboo or sinister. That makes the Setarcan a very specific kind of woman, and a very niche sort of courtier. Those drawn to dark forests at night, to the whispering of the graves and mirrors and reflections tend to find the woman fascinating. Those afraid fo such cannot help but feel unsettled. Camilla's values are simple: Only pain can give way to truth, and truth is beautiful. She is constantly, and subtly, pushing and urging others to face their reflections, always in playful ways that mask her intentions, at least at first. To Camilla, there is nothing to be learned when someone is in stasis, accepting of who they are. In peace nothing is gained, so she pushes, planting seeds for growth and change. Using her charisma to lure others into her games, Camilla is never bored, making the world beautiful by undoing one lie at a time.  +
