Often the baby of the family gets away with murder, not literally usually, but often very near to it. Growing up as the youngest of four meant that she had to fight for attention, more so because she was expected to fulfill the idea of Thraxian femininity. That sense of propriety was impressed upon her at an early age, and for years she listened, and did her very best to follow it. However she wanted more than that, and began to get into trouble as a child. None of the things she did were huge, but they were enough to get her often into situations where she was in more danger than she should have been, or on the wrong side of everyone's temper. As she got older she once tried to sneak on board one of the Navy ships, and was of course discovered and sent right back home. If it hadn't been for her older brother, Turo, she would probably have continued to get into trouble and eventually been unable to get out of it. In secret he began to teach her discipline and how to fight, something that she could focus on and spend the excess energy she seemed to have in a constructive manner. All the while she had to maintain the appearance of what was expected of her, so she learned to balance the two until she no longer had to. When the division between men and women's roles began to erode she started to more openly train, going so far as to follow her brother out onto the sea, learning what she could as quickly as she could. That desire to excel drove her to eventually try and prove she was the best fighter, some argued that she might not have tried so hard if it hadn't been for the death of her oldest brother and the sudden decision that she wasn't going to lose out on life's experiences. Proving herself, fighting for it both on and off the proverbial field, she eventually was able to take the position as Sword, to the surprise of probably everyone involved.

There is a certain fierce wildness to her that is at distinct odds with her fine boned, delicate features. Ebony colored hair is long, although it has been worked into tight braids that keep the strands off her face and out of the way. Skin that is naturally dark has been tanned a perfect gold from sun exposure, cheekbones high, and eyes an icy blue that are heavily rimed with thick black lashes. The only thing that mars what might be considered a perfect almost doll-like face is a scar that curves up from the left corner of her upper lip, pale and faded with age, but still visible. She is tall, and well-built with long lines and limbs, the defined muscles of someone that has spent years studying the ways of warfare without sacrificing any femininity. Her hands have the roughened callouses from training with weapons and helping out on ships, the backs of her hands criss-crossed with small scars, and one larger, ragged scar curving over her right forearm.

In a world where there was a large division between what a male did and what a female did, there comes someone like Regla. She bucked tradition and that left a small chip on her shoulder that she does her best to hide behind the fiery determination to be the best. This means that she tries to do everything better than everyone else, although it's not done with any sense of malice on her part. She is quick to rise to a fight, youthful energy sending her into things without always thinking about it before leaping into any situation, from fighting to arguments to love to contests of wits or stamina. She doesn't hesitate, she wants to do and experience everything, but also has a strong determination to do right by her family, and a deeply ingrained loyalty to family.
