Description

Edward is a slim fellow with an athletic runner's build. He stands about 5'5" and has dark brown hair and blue colored eyes. Long days in the sun give him a tanned or olive toned complexion. He often favors clothing in light fabrics in green and blue tone colors, and a sturdy pair of boots when needed.

Observant, Studious

Background

While at times I might consider them half-wits that is only the perspective of someone from the family than it is a reflection of the truth. Or perhaps they are a whole wit together. That would be the more logical perspective to have on the pair at times. It is not like Ember and Marina are easily separated - given that they are twins of course.

Now oftentimes I try to be the wise older cousin, given that I'm one of the few people who seem to get along with them. And perhaps it is for this reason I pen this letter while rocking back and forth on this rickety ship on my short journey to answer their summons of me. Whatever could they want, of which I have only guesses. My best guess is one or both of them have almost certainly gotten themselves in trouble with a magistrate and need me to talk their way out of it.

Now of course one might wonder why I might rush to the aid of two cousins I might possibly maybe consider a whole wit with both of them put together. It is not out of familial duty or love. Perhaps a little of it, but more because I crave an adventure and those two have a knack for finding something. That something is often trouble but they may just happenstance upon an adventure. And if nothing else I'll have interesting stories to tell when I'm infirm and unable to remember to get up to hit the privy and soil the bed for whatever caretaker suffers through my final years.

It is a tragedy of course their father died. Perhaps their summons is about this. Or maybe its about the the fact that they are in this limbo of inheritance and they need a man for the sake of appearances. Oh wouldn't that be quite delightful. A house steward might be a good job for me in the shortterm. Lets me make use of my skills at procurement and topics of discussions on which I get to use the silver tongue mother said I was gifted with.

And the call to land has been sounded. Surely I will maintain my dignity as I get off this rickety bucket that leaks more than a chef's sieve and has more bung holes than a vintner's cellar.
