B
Baldessare Velenosa +Passionate and driven, Baldessare is a hot core of dynamic ambition layered beneath a dry reserve. His sense of humor is understated, but rarely banished entirely. Wit earns his respect, and intelligence, his regard. Bravery is not an uncommon trait, but his is a courage fueled by self-assurance and tempered by a deeply grooved streak of grounded, solid common sense. He is a born "fixer" - a man who needs to resolve problems wherever they occur, whether they are actually his business or not. Puzzles need solving; battles need winning; emotional problems need... what? He's not sure but he'll definitely try to come up with it.  +
Baldwin Fidante +Baldwin can be described as emblematic at best; possessing a quiet confidence, a man of words only when they are needed and highly disciplined, perhaps since he has spent most of his life absorbed in martial training. His skill with weapons and tactics is well established, though he can sometimes provide advice to those interested with an even mind. He is patient, polite and seldom prone to outbursts of rage. However, those do happen, with all the righteous fury that entails.  +
Baltus Darkwater +Baltus is a self-assured man who lets little interfere with things he considers to be the logical path. He takes pride in his actions that are daring and goes forth with the risks, after weighing if they are worth it, to take the glory for himself, his family, and the Thrax Family. Baltus will protect those he holds dear with his life and lets his wrath be known when he feels someone is speaking ill of them. Baltus will often take the defense of his relatives too far, however, for he loses his logical sense of thinking when he sees red do to perceived slights against him and his own. Under his cool, confident facade it is found he is quite warm and open, with those he thinks of fondly.  +
Barbrey Blackwood +At first glance, one might assume that the winter years of Barbrey Blackwood's life have lent her an even temperment -- cool and gentle. But that would be a false assumption. Though she has changed with the wind, and changed with the times, her vigorous passion for life is ever-resting beneath the surface. Her reservation is a mere mask for the more proactive side of her: she would much rather charge into battle than sit around a dining table. Her demeanour to those around her can best be described as "frank" -- though she does not mock, and the barbs of her truth are not sharp, she does her best to avoid the pointless and poisonous platitudes of some other nobles. She is most chivalrous, some might say, when in her natural environment -- the wondrous outdoors, as befits those who cling onto shamanistic beliefs. Indeed, in spite of her martial demeanour, there is a wisdom in her knowledge of religion. She is a stalwart ally to those who would look upon her kindly -- but would make a fearsome foe indeed.  +
Barik Reed +Barik is obscenely sardonic and grim, with little patience for the plight of the common - or not so common - man and only so for those who promise him a bite of the proverbial apple. The innocence of youth long evaporated him into a perpetual state of cynical disconcert, appraising each and every passing countenance with visible skepticism to the on-looking eye. When speaking, a coherently gravel-like voice speaks, yet its pacing remains gracious; its nature roguish, and deceitful.  +
Barric Grayson +Barric Greyson is a man of pure blood, noble heritage, and an almost out of place drive to prove that he deserves them. He doesn?t view himself as superior, necessarily, but he sees his birth as a responsibility to fulfill, to be a protector of the people. Divine right comes with divine responsibility and he puts every effort into his study of the sword. He is a formidable warrior, because he has put in the practice to be so, leading by example, never shirking or trying to find the fast track. His courtly etiquette is beyond reproach, viewing the niceties as an honor to fulfill, and respect to give. In his mind, Glory will come, after Duty and Honor, and that is what made the Heroes of Old great. It is not something to seek out, but a natural result, and he remains humble when it is received. He feels there is a time and a place for everything, and when something happens out of that natural order, it sets him off balance and he can feel lost in situations far removed from the battlefields he knows. Being named Sword of Bastion was meant to be, but not until he had truly proven himself, so now he works twice as hard to be where he should have been to truly earn it. Outside of duty and honor, he finds great joy in the simple pleasures, enjoying the company of his fellows, but refuses to become the idle rich, having no patience for it and almost feels guilty when he finds any idle moments.  +
Bashira Ru-Taul +Bashira shares some of her older brother Caspian's personality for the bright and the dark. She admittedly is more guarded until she gets to know and trust people. Once she does though they've gained a pretty loyal friend. Almost to a fault sometimes. Her past has a lot to do with it, so would anyone blame a young woman for not wanting to get ensnared in some dark scheme or life again. She has a deep desire to learn and absorb as much as much of the Island Shav culture as she can. Even going to lengths as to learning some of the shamanistic practices. She has adopted the dress as well. Its an identity of her own that she was not afforded as a child. So she clings to it just a little.  +
Basilio Cabral +Anyone who knows Basilio knows that he's a summer child that hasn't quite grown up yet. His knack for finding humor and fun in the most dour and dreadful situations tends to annoy the more serious types, especially when his jokes are bad. Does he care? Not one bit. Okay, maybe a little, if a Thraxian lord threatened to mince his balls if he slugged out any more puns. While his free-spirited attitude can barely keep him still enough to read a book, he enjoys learning new things but prefers to learn them on the job. He is most often tempted to experiment on people, whether they realize it or not. On days when people don't interest him, he is happy enough being alone and satiating his curiosity with dives, collecting trinkets and memorabilia that have been forgotten beneath the waves.  +
Bastien +Bastien is a creature of extremes. He can be, at turns, laconic and morose or vibrant and energized. He feels his convictions -- which generally center on the hypocrisy of pretty much everyone in the world -- with a raging fire of passion. He is capable of great wit and eloquence, which often shows up in his work, and can sway an audience through words to either adore something or loathe it, but he lacks a sense of responsibility or practicality to make good use of his talents. He is prone to obsessiveness that tends to show up in a hunger-pang frame. The fact that he is forced to sometimes write work less than grand artistry or scathing satire -- for entertainment's sake, darling, please just take a break from all of those /feelings/ -- is a source of continual despair.  +
Bastien Crown +Bastien is a creature of extremes. +
Baz Thornburn +Baz (she has a full name, but don't dare call her that) is filled with the courage of her convictions. They take her to dizzying highs and exasperating lows. One moment the woman is passionately pursuing her muse, writing satire and drama to bring the world to its knees, and the next she spirals, sullen and withdrawn, holing up in the Thornburn family home in her little attic bolthole, smoking ceaselessly and staring out at the world in abject despair. Only when she is changing the world with her art is she exuberant, almost manic in her pursuit of critical acclaim and soul, as if the two could ever be found hand in hand.  +
Beatrice Malespero +Beatrice. Beh-ah-tree-chay. And that's /Lady/ Beatrice. This is a woman that sharp and witty and perfectly poised. Not always proper, but always proper for the situation, and always quick to upturn her nose and take note of bad behavior. It isn't that Beatrice is mean or petty, she is merely very aware of her own standing and that of others. After all, unlike most of her peers, Beatrice has done more with her life than be born. She earned her nobility, and so she demands the respect she is entitled to, and just the same expects other nobles to act respectfully. (And no, she's not going to admit there were some odd circumstances to her ennoblement, she earned it!) At the same time, she was born common, and knows what it's like to be in a tiered world, where privilege is so real, and so many do not have it. She does her best to respect commoners just the same, and encourage them toward greatness (all without acting common herself, no that wouldn't do at all).  +
Beatrix Corsetina +Whether the White Rose of the Corsetina family enjoys games of mystery or if she effortlessly plays them is up to anyone's guess. Always close but never within reach is her motto and she dances at that edge for her own amusement and nobody else's. To most the woman is aloof and undeniably attractive but to an attentive observer Beatrix enjoys being unknown, a ghost and muse to others around them. Beatrix relaxes around her family, showing the playful demeanor she so expertly hide to outsiders, but she is never without a few thorns to her.  +
Beaumont Valardin +Beaumont likes to live a little dangerously. Not too dangerously - he is a Prince, after all, fighting nonlethal duels for money and prestige. If that lifetsyle pits him against and amongst more unsavory types than your average Knightly man, it's not something he's terribly bitter (or concerned) about. Confident and personable, he finds little trouble fitting in and finding something to laugh over with nearly anyone. He can be impulsive and hot-tempered, though, finding most of his fellow Champions a bit too quick to become familiar. His anger is ususally as brief as it is sudden, and he's not too proud to diffuse the tension diplomatically.  +
Becka Honor +Becka is background noise in this world. She keeps her head down and stays out of trouble while trying to survive day to day. She's quiet and polite, that is, if anyone gives her the time of day. When she is around others of her status she opens up to become more warm and kind, but even then she has a habit of blending into the background and not being a bother. At times she can be caught laughing and enjoying herself, but these slivers of happiness rarely exist for now.  +
Bedivere Whitehawk +He is of commoner origin, but it is difficult to tell. Bedivere is a gentleman, a man of honor, and an intelligent man with few vices and considerable patience. Age and experience has tempered his optimism and idealism, but he still believes with skill and courage his men can do anything. He clearly cares about those under his command, but is willing to use them boldly if necessary. As a former commander of one of House Bislands most decorated cavalry squadrons, his skill on the battlefield is formidable. He constantly rethinks his plans to offset changes in circumstances, errors made by his commanders, or his orders being disobeyed. He is not rigidly attached to any plan if another will achieve his goal. When the odds are against him, he may make chancy and daring decisions, sometimes breaking with conventional combat tactics when time is against him. He is an attentive and responsible father, and the future of his children is his primary reason behind joining House Grayson. Bedivere has a notable distrust of the Shav'arani as a whole, likely due to his traumatic experiences while in captivity.  +
Behtuk Sanna +Behtuk's silence is often mistaken for ignorance, even stupidity, an impression he does not actively seek to dispel. He knows that his appearance leads to many assumptions about him. Rather than fight these miscconceptionsm, he allows them to guide him to those who will look past their prejudices and see the man underneath. Nevertheless, he rarely speaks in elaborate sentences, prefering to limit his words and let his deeds and his craft speak for him.  +
Bell Cleck +He talks a storm, rapidly and well, but he's cagey and careful, although given to a gently edged kind of humor that reveals more than conceals pain. He is hungry for tomorrows. And more tomorrows. And more tomorrows. He's both ambitious and collaborative, always looking for the path he can take with the person he's talking with. Right this moment.  +
Belladonna Pravus +Belladonna knows how easily it would be for her to be a truly wicked woman. Many of the city-states in the Lyceum tend toward cruel and insidious plots, sacrificing anything and everything for power. Belladonna is every bit as capable to play the same cutthroat games, and play them well, but has come to fear just how much she enjoys them. She loved her father, and his good heart very much, even as she saw how it destroyed him. It makes her determined, shrewd, and extremely capable of manipulative intrigue but she is well aware that ruthless maneuvers undermines her father's legacy and the hopes he cherished that she would follow him as an honorable, kindhearted ruler. For her enemies, she represents a contradiction of a dangerously charming woman that can be a deadly, conniving adversary yet remains capable of confounding acts of generosity and compassion that leaves opponents bemused on what could possibly be her hidden motive. It's more simple than that, really. She wants to be a good woman, strong and powerful, but she will stop at nothing to avoid the mistakes of her father.  +
Bellamy Redrain +To say that Bellamy might be the sweetest princess you'd ever meet might not be far from the truth. On the flipside, to say that she is the softest Redrain princess you'll ever meet is almost definitely the truth. A kind-hearted young woman taking her first steps out of a sheltered and more than a little pampered childhood. She would never have an unkind word to say about another, and she would surely give the clothing off of her back to someone in need but she's not the most aware of the struggle of the common people. She's all full of bright smiles, grand gestures that help the immediate but not long term problem, and a heart too sensitive to take even the mildest of criticism. She's sweet, but spoilt and soft.  +
Bellona Deucalion +Her voice resides in the part of the ear where secrets linger and the beguiling susurrus bespells; soft, charming and oracular, Bellona tempts like the woods at twilight - her siren call, both captivating and dangerous to those who would dare follow its song. Casuistry is her finest gift; she is as vulpine as the fox moving sinuously from snow-mound to snow-bound in the deep dark, her prey -the naive and superstitious whose pockets she feeds off of with predacious amusement.  +
Benedetto Velenosa +Benedetto is lively, charming, and vibrant. He can take this to obnoxious extremes. Witty, irrepressible and irresponsible, Benedetto is a master of deflection: he deflects insults, he deflects undue seriousness, he deflects unearned compliments. Slithering out of trouble is probably his chiefest accomplishment. He'd be the first to tell you that fun is his primary drive. Thirsty for gossip, delighted by social gatherings and generally an incredible showoff, he is quick to defend his family and friends with a bravura energy that rarely extends to self-protection.  +
Benedict Ferro +Benedict's personality could be considered a stick in the mud sometimes. Work and bettering himself be it knowledge or strength of some kind will be most of the time taken over 'fun' activities, with the occasional exception when the mood strikes him. He is long to anger, and he does not forget what people say or do very quickly. He is not one to hold grudges, but no tresspass against him or anyone he cares about will be quickly forgotten.  +
Benjamin Carver +Benjamin is a passionate, and passionately irreverent, rake with a tongue of silver and honey. He is seemingly set to remind the world not to take itself too seriously. It makes for a unique bedside manner while he's amputating gangrenous limbs, or merely colorful conversation for those who come in for the equally dire shave and trim. New experiences, for the better or the worse, are to be sought, appreciated, and learned from. He'll readily trade in stories and riddles, and rarely turns down a gamble. He takes great pleasure in indulging others as much as himself, frequently in the form of culinary delectables he's found and learned to recreate throughout his travels.  +
Benvolio Corvini +Benvolio is alternatively ruthless and lazy. While not ambitious, and content to permit his elder brothers and sisters to dictate the course of family affairs, he is a loyal and effective footsoldier. He is hedonistic and enjoys the trappings of wealth, including bright fashionable clothes, shiny new weapons, or fine horses.  +
Berenice Velenosa +Charming and tempestuous, Berenice loves to flirt with scandal. She enjoys sidling right up to the edge of it, hips swaying, and nudging at it with her toe. Possibly while maintaining eye contact and a smile, like a cat nudging a glass off a table. She quite enjoys people, with all the delights they present, and can traverse the social web with delightedly deft skill. Of course, friendship with Berenice may come with it a fiery blowup or two, but just wait a day: either the slight will be forgotten, or the friendship will. She is, at the very least, never a boring companion.  +
Berto Tiazza +Berto is warm and kind, with a genuinely amiable demeanor. Sure, he's definitely about the money now and again, but it's rare that he's going to go out of his way to gouge people. Given his quick and easy sense of humor, he's almost always laughing and smiling. He's also pretty drunk most of the time.  +
Bethany Mercier +Bethany has a mind like a steel trap, capable of understanding a situation before it fully unfolds. Being curious is her first nature, so this is partly a defense mechanism she's developed to avoid getting in trouble. Her skills in planning and accounting are noteworthy, which makes her a good fit for her career path, and trusted by her merchant father when it comes to managing her finances. While on the surface she is affable, Bethany tends to establish emotional boundaries between herself and her friends and acquaintances. She fears being hurt and feels safe only when she has control of the relationship.  +
Bhandn Yvar +Before he met Valena Eseri in the course of his travels, many had called Sir Bhandn Yvar "serious enough to make a lecture seem exciting." In many ways, he still is. On the road, he tolerates nonsense as much as he does his traveling charges being assailed. Anything and everything that could clearly endanger those in his charge are prone for stern rebuke. Their safety -- his duty -- comes before all else. Similar thinking exists for keeping himself in fighting condition. Over the course of the past thirty years, however, the stony wall that was his typical demeanor has gradually begun to erode. During his brief rests in civilized areas, he is far more likely to be found engaged in banter-filled labor and physical competitions, rather than simply brooding while laboring to keep his armaments in good condition.  +
Bianca Wyrmguard +Composed of ineffable poise and grace, her words laced with uncanny wisdom, and possessed of a calm disposition that seems capable of weathering even the worst of storms, Bianca Wyrmguard is always ready with a kind word or advice to those in need of it, putting a sharp and empathetic mind to work in helping the people around her. But while she is undoubtedly warm, it is a distant warmth. Bianca often exists at a remove from others, playing most of her private thoughts and feelings close to the vest, and rarely speaks about herself, preferring instead to focus on the needs of others. Behind all those layers lies a naturally pragmatic woman who nonetheless finds deep fascination in the human condition and is endlessly in passionate pursuit of new knowledge and new experiences. Recent years, however, have seen a slow shift in Bianca's outlook and behavior, and her deep well of calm has been steadily coupled with a biting and incisive wit that has little tolerance for foolishness. Increasingly willing to embrace her own, personal ambitions, Bianca is implacable once she puts her mind to something -- to the point of an unfortunate tendency towards overworking herself; a fact that she will persistently disavow right up to the point she passes out in the middle of her adamant denial.  +
Bjorn Grimhall +Bjorn is a man shaped by his personal tragedies. A life of watching emotions be the downfall of men and women he's loved has changed him into a soldier of crisp professionalism. Calm, often cool and aloof, his demeanor often gives a false indication of a man completely detached by the consequences of his work, but nothing could be further from the truth. He embraces what he's need to become to ever prevent anyone else from feeling the brutal losses that still haunt him. When not in a professional setting, the ice thaws, but even then he is the sort to only drink towards moderation. Someone has to keep their head about them, after all.  +
Blacktongue Artiglio +Being a jester wasn't Blacktongue's first choice, but he always had a playful spirit, keeping his brother and nephew in good humors. He views his position as one of honor, being trusted by the family to speak his mind in an entertaining fashion with only a slim chance he'll be executed for it? It's like a dream come true. The only care he takes is to not bring shame on the Velenosa family, or take a jest too far. He didn't spend years practically killing himself to mock them now in a way that would cause true injury. His general mood tends to be one of hope and cheer, though, should anyone anger him, or harm his family, blood and fealty, he can be biting, sarcastic, and downright cruel. He tends to live each day as if it were his last, mostly out of habit from his days when that was potentially his fate every meal.  +
Blair Elricks +Blair is a friendly, honest sort of girl. Always trying to do her best to impress her family and superiors. She sometimes seems to zone out. She claims this is because the spirits are speaking with her. Though it could just be an oddity. She thrives in the midst of combat though, loving to spar and even true battles. She is most at home on the battlefield.  +
Bliss Whisper +Celia was never satisfied. As she's gotten older, she's discovered ways to find (fleeting) satisfaction, but her desire for a good time outstrips all. She likes fun, and irreverence, and doing whatever she wants, when she wants. No one always gets what they like, of course, and Bliss can certainly play along with social mores when it suits her. She's even patient, in a terrifyingly predatorial sort of way. She might play along for days, weeks - even years! As long as she wants the payoff badly enough, it doesn't bother her. Conversely, if something that seemed like a good, fun idea loses its lustre, she won't hesitate to drop it - forgotten just as fast as last week's breakfast. Bliss is the sort of woman who might be perplexed at someone attacking her for something she said last Tuesday. "But, that was three weeks ago!" She burns hot and hard, but once it's done (or once she's won), she is gracious with her forgiveness.  +
Blossom Corsetina +Sweet, friendly, kind, and not-all-there are the best ways to describe Blossom. It's as if she lives in her own little world that intersects with our own only sometimes, and never reliably. She regularly gets lost in her work, in her thoughts, in the city... sometimes she'll forget to wash the paint off of her hands, or forget to bring her purse to the market, or forget she's talking to someone in the middle of a conversation. She takes people at face value - perhaps because she's never paying enough attention to see the undercurrent - but still somehow manages to avoid danger through sheer luck.  +
Blush Prismatics +The consummate gentleman, Blush ascribes very much to the lifestyle of a bon vivant. He enjoys life in all its aspects, but expects a certain level of sophistication and a splash of refinement as lovely garnishes to this tasty dish of an existence. That isn't to say his idea of sophistication and refinement are correct, because he often chooses to express his enjoyment through flamboyant clothing that captures each color of the rainbow. He holds a strange fascination for the lives of others, to the point of nosiness, and he is always willing to give free advice! His advice, however, comes with the caveat that it is the other's choice - even if he stresses, always, how much freedom from anything that holds one down is the correct, one and only, ultimate, and perfect choice.  +
Bonibel Barleycorn +Sensible. Bonibel has always been the pragmatic sort. Stubborn and quick-witted this young woman can sometimes be abrasive but it's usually out of a lack of time more than it is a lack of patience. A hard life as a Prodigal and living in the Lowers has tempered her over time making her slow to anger and wields a glass-half-full view of the world. She just doesn't have the time for sulking.  +
Bonnie Shepherd +With a sublimely self-confident swagger and utter fearlessness that could verge on the reckless, Bonnie is a woman unaccustomed to seeing any setback or difficulty as anything but an intriguing challenge to be tackled. An unapologetic bon vivant, Bonnie is a connoisseur of all that life has to offer, and laughs off social mores or a sense of shame in the pursuit of whatever catches her fancy.  +
Bors Keaton +In a word, severity. This is very little give in this Oathlands Knight. As rigid in posture as he is in adherence to the principles of Chivalry and Honor. He is the epitome of a Knight of the West, fulfilling the stereotypes in both positive and negative ways. He is polite to all, in a gruff sort of way, formal and exacting in his expectation of the manners of those around him. He will be the first to defend the defenseless (should they be on the right side of the law) and the last to leave the field of battle, exacting the last drop of payment from the enemy and defending the rest of his brethren. He is a hard man, but his loyalty is stronger than steel and like honor, never bends.  +
Bosco Caputo +No one has ever accused Bosco of being charming, witty or joyful. He's stubborn, that's for sure and often slips into snap judgments about people, places or things that are then hard to shift. There is a certain amount of bitterness about him that he doesn't express, and an often surly temprament that is prone to introspection. He's mostly pragmatic, and definitely capable. His passions (or perhaps outlets) are smithing and fighting, both of which involve beating something. Not quick to anger and there's often a weariness about any heated temper that suggests this wasn't always the case. He is capable of an affable good humour, although it doesn't always make it all the way to his eyes.  +
Brace Din +As ever changing as the tide, Brace reflects that which she is presented with. On the surface, she is a woman of incredible grace and consideration, however something far darker lies beneath.  +
Braden Laurent +Braden is generally rather carefree, enjoying being kind of laid back, that is, until he needs to be serious. Usually occuring when someone is in danger. He see's it as his job to keep his friends and family safe. His desire to protect does not stop there. He would lay down his life to keep just about anyone alive. He takes his training seriously, but on his off time he is quick to be a little snarky and a bit of a trouble maker.  +
Brady Grayhope +Look, everybody needs somebody sometime, and Brady's pretty good at becoming whatever's needed for any given situation. Manual labor? Check. Mercenary work? Why not? He loves hats! Arm candy? Okay, but shaving costs extra. Haze hookup? Sure, he can get that for you. Anything less savory, I mean why not, but it'll might cost you, because a night in the cells is so bad for the skin. Easygoing, wisecracking, friendly almost to a fault, he tries to stay mellow and keep on everybody's good side, and he can be irresistably innocuous. Of course, the ingenuous charm can be hard to turn off, and some people have gone so far as to say they find Brady obnoxious, which is just a heartbreaking thing to say.  +
Braelynn Deepwood +Cheerful and blithe, Braelynn is most often found smiling about something. The world seems full of endless amusement to her, and she is genial of spirit and light of heart. She's an outdoors type, who gets restless if she's cooped up too long, but the peace she finds in the woods keeps her happy. Sometimes her attention drifts, and she'll smile at nothing at all - but mostly she is warm and friendly, a pleasure to be around and quite easygoing.  +
Braith Mazetti +Braith is an animated, lively young woman, full of vim and vigor. Her spirit rarely flags. She tells stories and puts them to music; she yearns for the limelight and owns it with the full power of her panache whenever she can. She loves learning about new things and trying to figure out how to rhyme them. She falls in love easily and often, bright with passion and full of fire; in the wake of her amorous adventures, she tends to castigate her former lovers in hilarious and sometimes ribald song. Witty and sassy, Braith pretends that she isn't at all insecure or lonely, but it's a pretense that doesn't always hold up.  +
Braith Sanna +Braith is an animated, lively young woman, full of vim and vigor. +
Bran Ravenseye +Thoughtful would likely be how most of Ravenseye would describe Bran. A far thinking individual, he's never been slow witted--far from it, in fact--but he tends to take his time when possible, looking over a situation from all angles. Laying plans that won't come to fruition for years, but when they do bear fruit are remarked upon for their foresight. Just because he's a thinker though doesn't mean he's not quick with an easy smile, and a warm embrace. While stern and implacable when he needs to be, Bran would rather make friends than enemies. He treats his house's vassals like family, a warm father figure. Authoritative, and commanding, but out of a desire to see them achieve their own potential, rather than bettering his own standing.  +
Branan Dominici +A pensive, bookish man who prefers to deal with the quill and ink, rather than with people when he can avoid it. Branan displays a stark preference for libraries to marketplaces and for the silence of catacombs to the din of a crowd. With a furtive gaze that flicks here and there nervous hands always in motion, his overall bearing is one of anxious scholastic mediocrity.  +
Branimir Eswynd +Everything about him is loud, his voice booms and fills space around him, and his laughter is thunderous. His rare temper is an equally fierce thing, burning bright but quickly running out of fuel. But Branimir's personality trends towards the jovial, he has seen and survived enough to know one should drink deep from the cup of life at every opportunity. While many of the younger reavers who are sworn to Eswynd regard their new liege with suspicion, Branimir sees the potential in this relationship and counsels his nephews to strengthen their ties with Thrax and the Mourning Isles. Then maybe even with the Compact!  +
Brannen Harthall +Few children have been as severe as Brannen. It seemed he was always of complete understanding and acceptance of his responsibility. Driven, focused, responsible. However there is something about Brannen that separates him from most of his dour compatriots. Brannen is not one to look down upon carefree, jovial, or happy-go-lucky types. Brannen loves them, like his twin sister. However Brannen has always understood that beacons of happiness and creativity cannot fully protect themselves, he sees himself as a guardian of beauty of the world and someone has to be a little bit boring to protect such things. It might as well be Brannen. Though he is not the most charming, Brannen knows how to lead. He may not be well liked, but he is respected by those under his command. A true stalwart, Brannen may be seen by many as a dullard, though the man truly can respect a well crafted joke or prank, however he is more focused on his duty and making sure the Right Thing is done. Brannen lives his life for honor and the Gods, he is constantly prepared to make the necessary sacrifices to protect what he loves.  +
Branwen Stormfeather +She would much rather surround herself with nature and animals then with people. But, feeling that the spirits need her to help her fellow humans, Branwen reluctantly seeks out venues where she can offer her assistance to those in need. If there is an animal in distress that she can help, all the better. She comes across as quiet, but stubborn. And sometimes off in her own little world, though if one were to ask her a question she would surprise them with a detailed response. Whatever else may be happening around her though, she tries to be thoughtful and thorough, even when she has no wisdom to offer.  +
Brass Not anymore +Brass is just full of personality! Funny and sarcastic without the meanspiritedness that would make him truly snarky, he can't quite conceal his mostly good heart, even if his brash enthusiasm sometimes causes him to make rash (and unkind) decisions. See, he's cocky, and arrogant, and even if it started as a way to conceal his gooey, uncertain, vulnerable insides...after centuries, it stuck.  +
Braxas Songweaver +Braxas loves nothing quite so much as his freedom. He goes where he wants and does what he wants, he doesn't care what people think of him. He can be a bit mean or abrasive at times, he has a silver tongue but sometimes it just...turns off. Braxas is the kind of bard parents warn thier children to avoid. But just because he is selfish and a loner at heart doesn't mean he lacks talent.  +
Breccan Malere +Known to smile often and with an infectious personality that seeks to get a grin from even the most austere, Breccan is unabashed in all sorts of company. Not one to seek confrontation, he instead searches for reasoning and solutions. While not easily given in to anger with a patience that has been tested through many trials, there are very few who have been able to push him far enough where wrath is presented - but Pantheon bless the poor soul who does.  +
Bree Harthall +Bree's family always said that ever since she was born the sun was just a little bit dimmer, because it gave part of its light to Bree. She has always been addicted to stories, and becoming the hero of those stories. She is radiance and generally the most optimistic person in the room. It is hard to dim her mood. It is extremely difficult to take away from her jubilance. Bree is extremely talented at finding the silver lining in things. And also extremely good at shrugging things off. If people don't like her upbeat attitude, she is rarely offended. She is aware that she is somewhat naive that her bright and excitable nature could lead some to take advantage of her... But she's pretty sure that won't happen! Why would people do that when you're nice to them! She takes everything about Gild VERY seriously, and is a firm believer that all problems in the world can either be stabbed to death with her blade, or hugged to death. But not really death. Just until it's brought around. Even with her upbeat attitude, she's still a soldier. So at times she can be slightly offputting when she's being so cheery after she's just felled an enemy of the compact, blood still on her blade.  +
Breidaia Ferchyn +Breidaia has a booming, wide personality that takes the world by the horns. Not for her the days of living quietly at the fireside, shrinking away from the plate full of delicious possibilities. She has gained refinement over the years, but that hasn't dulled her enthusiasm more than a shade. The expectations to pony up and behave well with a crew rather than acting the freewheeling hellion still have their effect. Beneath the polite graces, a veneer only skin deep, lies the vigorous fire that will sail to unknown shores and go where others might fear to sail or tread. She has a thorough appreciation of risk and an appetite for adventure. But Breidaia too is the leader and mother hen over those under her charge, and she constantly takes measures to assure their safety. She isn't reckless or irresponsible, but an irrepressible force no more contained than the sea.  +
Brianna Halfshav +Brianna never quite settled into the role of a proper lady. She is courteous, graceful, demure when needs be, and knows all the steps of the courtly dance, but it's all practice, rather than natural ability. She loves to laugh at raunchy humor, and dance a bawdy dance. She loves living in Arx, because it lets her dress in the nigh-scandalous fashions of the Lyceum - which show more skin than is practical in the cold North. She's rarely inappropriate and never so by intention, but she loves how the Velenosa skirt that line, and the rich sparkles of the Grayson mines. She can be vain, cruel, and terrible when she needs to be, but mostly she simply wants to experience life like few can. She made for warfare and the adventures that go with it, and she makes her own adventures in the wilds of the city life. Little ignite the wild fury she feels like the Shav that terrorize her homeland, and she becomes completely irrational when talk turns to them and their ilk.  +
Briar Marjawn +As a child he was called 'wild child'. That wild has transformed into a fierce sense of loyalty and duty. That applies to his vocation just as well as the rest of his life. But he is also fierce in everything. In his joy, in his anger, in his pain. Though he may wish, it is a struggle for him to leash his enthusiasm and seemingly endless energy.  +
Bridget Pravus +A flighty young woman with half a brain, or perhaps slightly less than half. She enjoys books, but rarely finds herself reading them all the way through. She also tends to forget the stories, so it doesn't really matter if she finishes them anyways. She is somewhat clumsy, has a bad taste in fashion, and is generally tone deaf, but despite her odd qualities and grim life, she is pleasant enough. She is generally in good spirits, and has a refreshing air of whimsical innocence to her. If kindness and enthusiasm were admirable qualities, she would have a rating of 10 out of 10, but they aren't. If she were a peasant she would have been food for the wolves, but luckily the girl was born into a noble family, so instead she is food for the mindless politics of noble houses.  +
Brier Crovane +While Brier is more subdued since the death of her late husband, there is still a fiery passion inside of her that is tempered by a strong will and hot headed streak. There is no doubt that while Brier is capable of playing up her role as a Lady, there is even less doubt that she would prefer nothing more than to just be rough housing or shaping iron and steel.  +
Brigid Inverno +A quiet presence, there was something to be said about the silence she often holds when in conversation or working stringently with the hooved beasts she trained, as all she had to say was in the set of her eyes, the quirk of her mouth, or the power of her stance. Given to words that held a lesson or meaning, it was rare for her to blunder into a situation without giving it some forethought and the same is to be said about outward emotion. While not visibly cold, some might describe her as lukewarm until they get to know the true woman beneath the layers of polite reticence.  +
Brigid Moore +A quiet presence, there was something to be said about the silence she often holds when in conversation or working stringently with the hooved beasts she trained, as all she had to say was in the set of her eyes, the quirk of her mouth, or the power of her stance. Given to words that held a lesson or meaning, it was rare for her to blunder into a situation without giving it some forethought and the same is to be said about outward emotion. While not visibly cold, some might describe her as lukewarm until they get to know the true woman beneath the layers of polite reticence.  +
Brigida Fidante +Brigida has lived through it, whatever it is. Loss, death, war, love, tragedy, dreams dying aborning, dreams awakening: she's been there. She knows. Her wisdom is cut with no little vinegar. She is fierce and bold behind an iron propriety that has been cultivated with age, and only occasionally is breached to deliberately shock people. Tough, tough-minded, and without compunction about doing what needs done, she is socially extremely perceptive, clever, and can be as manipulative as an entire league of grandmothers working in concert.  +
Briseis Morgan +Briseis is very much the product of her dual heritage. From her Oathlander father, she learned determination, honor, diligence, fidelity. From her Northerner mother, she learned wit, stubbornness, confidence, and an overabundance of, for lack of a better word, sass. Briseis sparkles: not just with the warmth of an extrovert who enjoys people, but with the keen, determined insight of a sharp mind. Her manner is often light and friendly, even bubbly and effusive at times, but she has a fiercely tempered core of steel to her that comes out in defense of her family, those close to her, and her own ideals and convictions. The fact that her occasional bursts of righteous indignation can sometimes be a bit comical due to her smaller stature and youthful appearance is a continual frustration for her, but her tongue can be so sharp at those moments that people rarely laugh for long.  +
Brogan Nightgold +Brogan is larger than life: big, roaring laughter, a lusty temperament, and the wild abandonment of a man who refuses to sink into gloom or sadness. When the going gets tough, Brogan finds a new way to go. In the past, when doom and depression threatened him, he embraced an entirely new life philosophy to avoid it. He is his own unique kind of adaptable. He loves drinking, fighting, smashing tables, gambling, screwing, dancing, singing, throwing people into walls, wrestling bears -- well, okay, that was one time -- and generally, being an uproarious and outrageous fellow. There are depths to Brogan and to his passions, but he spends most of his time doing his damnedest to just be one hell of a guy.  +
Bron Aisling +Generally amiable and happy go lucky, it's when challenged that Bron's competitive streak comes to the fore. A former soldier he is fiercely loyal to those who prove worthy of it but views cowadice as the gravest of sins. While he can work with others he is fiercely self reliant, a useful trait in the wilds of the North.  +
Bruce Valardin +Bruce was a rowdy child. Despite his rigorous training and studies, he was a big personality, always quick to laugh and have fun. Ambitious, driven, focused. He was an accomplished squire, a talented horseman and a skilled swordsman. The Tragedy and abrupt death of his parents shook him, but he braved it. Shrugged it off, smiled and inspired confidence in his family and friends. He was studious, pious, courageous, exceptionally big and strong. Everything a family could ask for in a young knight. When he rode off to fight for months at a time in the Silent War, Gyre War, or in the countless campaigns against hostile abandoned, it slowly steeled his resolve. He proved himself time and time again in fiery combat. He survived. But it changed him. He became more quiet, reserved, stoic. The smiles came farther and fewer between. After High Hill, Bruce never returned to his former self. He's grizzled, stern, a bit distant. While there's still life to the veteran knight, it takes time to bring it out.  +
Bryndis Nightgold +A being of pure action, there is no hesitation, no reluctance. She is always focused on the next step, the next improvement, and while much of that can happen through physical action, she doesn't always forget that book knowledge also proves to be helpful. In addition to being goal oriented, she's pleasant, cheerful, and outgoing in a way that matches the rest of her focused drive when she's not lapsing into quiet bouts of melancholy. The changes in behavior from forceful personality to quiet storm cloud can be slow progressions or quick changes, sometimes with nothing explaining why the sudden change.  +
Brynja Blackwood +Brusque, churlish, rude - or just bitchy, if one doesn't want to bother with propriety - are all attributes friends and foes alike have ascribed to Brynja at some point or another. She is friendly and can hold her drink, too, but she sets high personal standards for herself and doesn't suffer the lamentations of fools easily. She is a fierce protector of her family and friends, even if she doesn't like them much; this is likely to get her into more trouble than anything else in the new world she resides in. Also, she has a fondness for wolves. Who would have guessed?  +
C
Cabrera Godsworn +Clever and quick, energetic and vivacious, Cabrera's is the kind of charm that can be hard to keep up with. His sass could get him in trouble more often if his smile were less winsome, but his engaging humor and bright eyes are welcoming, inviting, encouraging people to join him in the laugh, whatever it happens to be. More a wordsmith than a prankster, he prefers not to punch 'down', and tries to keep a bright, upbeat approach to life and service, encouraging people to embrace life with both arms. Passion is his watchword, service his focus, and life his reward. While he is a serving priest and serving soldier, he's also a devil-may-care punster, ribald roisterer, and stylish man about town. Turn down no opportunity, leave no stone unturned for what curiosity might reveal beneath, and definitely never leave a party without dancing.  +
Cade none +Cold and uncaring. These two words couldn't be any more accurate in describing Cade. Having no experience in truly expressing one's self, Cade comes off as someone who is boring and abrupt, due to this, those who have encountered him once usually steer clear. Not that it matters to him for he does not stay in one place for too long. Despite this, Cade's work ethic is commendable, doing odd jobs in the most efficient ways, earning the respect of his short-term employers.  +
Cadenza Fidante +Cadenza Velenosa is an Adventurer with a capital A, a capital A for alacrity, abandon, audacity, or maybe just awesome. There's some measure of arrogance there, too, of course; but it's not like she doesn't have the public cachet to back that up. She is, after all, a Princess of the Lyceum, and with her sense of timing, she has a measure of patience, a measure of composure, of control -- or maybe has learned to fake composure by raw force of will. It's true that she never saw a swash she didn't want to buckle. Life has gifted her with not so much caution -- who has the time? -- but a sense of timing keyed to a self-preservatory instinct, so that her ambition and her lust for life drive her, but do not rule her. She doesn't charge headlong into trouble; she calculates precise angles of trouble and /then/ sidles obliquely into it, instead. One of nature's gamblers, Cadenza would probably have to admit, if pressed, that she finds risk to be a seductive lure in and of itself.  +

Cadern Blackwood +Cadern thrives in the cultural mishmosh of Arx. Chameleonic, he has subsumed himself entirely into the role of the playboy man-about-town, progressive and aggressive in his sampling of new things and his embrace of cultures beyond his own. Impish, good-humored and mischevious, he never found a good or bad joke he didn’t like, and he laughs just as much when he is the butt of a prank as when he masterminds one. He is clever and quick, witty and resourceful, and has an uncanny knack for when to use puppy dog eyes to good account. Fast talking, fast walking, with a short attention span that speeds him from interest and hobby to interest and hobby at breakneck speed, he is at home everywhere, and inclined to make friends with everyone. It’s very easy to find him obnoxious and like him anyway.  +

Caelis Malvici +Caelis is an iquisitive and thoughtful woman. She favors activity, being in motion is much more preferable to being decoration and sitting around. She craves challenge and adventure, wanting to see, try, feel new things. Her temper is slow to build, but once she snaps, it's unforgiving. She can hold grudges for years with out a thought.  +

She craves challenge and adventure, wanting to see, try, feel new things. Her temper is slow to build, but once she snaps, it's unforgiving. She can hold grudges for years with out a thought.  +
Caera Tortorici +Witty and fiesty, she may be small but she is made sure she is heard. Loyal to a fault to those she is dedicated to, she is focused on work she has taken on. She can be curious and playful, still not having been jaded by the cruelty of life. As friendly as she is, it is somewhat an outer facade. She is distrustful of outsiders but uses her smile to watch behind.  +
Caerdroc Woodbine +Quiet but passionate, Caerdroc is a man of long silences but deep warmth. His loyalties run very deep and pure, yet there is a whisper of the tragic to him. Where he was once a faithful and religious man, now he goes to shrines plagued by doubt and uncertainty, with questions he does not know how to ask. He fights loyally for the Bislands but his personal history is such that he cannot but recognize the humanity of their foe. Bound by honor, love and history, Caerdroc stands in the center of a web of connection that makes his daughter's well-being entirely paramount, and forces him out of what might be his comfort zone and into a world that requires socialization and growth. That said, for all that Caerdroc is at his most peaceful in the quiet woods surrounded by animals and not people, his love of the woods is an expansive, open-hearted love, and leads him to wish to share it, spread it, and make it known. He fights out of duty and passion, but in his heart, he prefers an absence of violence, and would love nothing better than to create a world for the next generation where no one would ever need to nock arrow to bow. (Fat chance of that, but ... you know.)  +
Cahal Blackram +Cahal's a man of layers. Outside the family, amongst those he's not really sure about, he's an outgoing, boisterous and rather loud man with a penchant for telling unbelievable stories. Everyones friend he's quick to laugh, hard to anger and oftentimes viewed as being interested in nothing but the pleasures of the moment. But his loved ones get to see more. Behind the bluster there is reliable man with a deep deep core of loyalty and a willingness to go through hell for his kin. Patient, with a critical eye that catches a lot of details others would miss, he has the ability to play a long game.  +
Cahal Lyonesse +Cahal's a man of layers. Patient, with a critical eye that catches a lot of details others would miss, he has the ability to play a long game.  +
Cai Falken +Gruff and aloof, Cai is a man who prefers the great outdoors to confines of city life. A man of means, anything he's needed, he's done by barter and trading, living off nature and the woods. While he might be rough around the edges and having to live in a city has done nothing for that, he's at the very least someone dependable, even if most of his opinions are laced with a certain degree of sarcasm. He's practical, and while he'll offer a helping hand, it doesn't mean he won't grouse a bit for having to do so.  +
Cailean Grimes +Cailean is the quiet and introspective type but that doesn't mean he's unfriendly or terribly serious; it's exactly the opposite. Once you crack the exterior, you will find a friendly and witty man who just so happens to be a great listener.  +
Cain Crown +Cain has embraced the streets and in a way, treats the Lower Boroughs as his little playground. It's a dangerous playground, and he is aware of it. But that danger has its appeal, and Cain doesn't shy away from throwing himself right in the middle of things if he thinks it worth it. Caution is not his strongest suit. He is generally easygoing, and a great drinking partner, until he's not. When angry, he can be quite brutal and cruel in his treatment of others. While his fortune telling started as a way to get by, it's become a point of pride for him. He enjoys it when others come to him for advice, or trinkets to guarantee good fortune. He often claims fortune is his mistress, and when confronted about his own status in life, he quickly dismisses it as it being his choice.  +
Caith Thrax +There is an unassuming energy about Caith, a warm, vivacious outpouring of herself into her surroundings that, despite her occasional forays into the fantastical or strange and a tendency to occasionally take metaphors really just too far, makes it difficult not to like her at least a little bit. Imaginative, creative and deeply generous, Caith's passion for life, for story and for a general, optimistic embrace of common humanity makes her a lively addition to most social situations. She wants adventure and romance, although to be clear, not too much romance, because she doesn't want to be tied down. She wants to be free to see the world. She wants to help people, and to give away more than she gets, but also not to give away too much, because she recognizes that it costs money to outfit an expedition, and to keep a girl in books she hasn't read. There is an elegance to her, a freewheeling grace, a lure that is hard to resist.  +
Caius Valardin +Caius is intelligent, commanding and deeply loyal. It was his loyalty to his wife that saw him step away from the world when he lost her and it was that same loyalty, this time to house, that brought him back. As for the brashness and anger of youth, it finds occasional purchase in the man he is now, though a more thoughtful approach to the ties between people, houses and duty shape his actions in maturity. Since the loss of his wife, he struggles to navigate his own sense of duty and honor, often using it to set boundaries about himself even as he looks to re-engage the world.  +
Calandra Culler +Calandra loves to be loved. She loves to watch the faces of those that hear her sing, and soak up their adoration and praise. She has more than a little pride, but it's tempered with actually enjoying to entertain people. It's a symbiotic relationship that the songstress revels in. She loves the dirt and grit of the lower boroughs, partly because of how she outshines it, but partly because there is such character and greatness within its alleys. It's home, for better or worse. Certainly, she loves the beautiful fashions of the nobility, but not so much that she wants to be one. People are free in the dirty streets, to truly be who they are meant to be. Calandra can't bear the thought of being without that freedom, as she is determined to discover her destiny.  +
Calarian Grayson +In a family of adventurers, it's not that Calarian doesn't fit, it's just that his particular excitement draws him in a slightly different direction than exploring ruins or swashbuckling through the forest: Calarian explores people. In familiar company, he is prone to a certain dry wit and humor, but he has a knack for finding a comfortable slot to fill with all variety of people, which made his calling to diplomacy clear from a young age. He does not yearn to dirty himself in outdoor exploration, but he's not bothered; above all, Calarian adapts to what the situation requires of him. He absorbs the cultures of others readily, finding fascination with all the differences and similarities, which lets him find ready common ground. He is patient, perceptive, and difficult to offend, despite his precise, impeccable etiquette; he may make high demands of the behavior of those in his house, but it is because he understands the intricacies and importance of the dance of manners. His loyalty to his house and his family is unwavering -- as is his belief in their place as rulers of the Compact.  +
Calarian Wyrmguard +In a family of adventurers, it's not that Calarian doesn't fit, it's just that his particular excitement draws him in a slightly different direction than exploring ruins or swashbuckling through the forest: Calarian explores people. Calathane Drumenach +Stoic and calm, but in the eyes rest the gleam of the hunter.  +
Calaudrin Estardes +Calaudrin has seen some shit. He's seen your shit, their shit, and most importantly, he's seen his own shit. He's not interested in it. He's got a good balance of aggressive competence and world-weary snark that allows him to approach the world with the kind of perspective that one of nature's watchmen needs. There are a few things that are core to his worldview: if you're running away, he's chasing you, probably because you're running away. If there's a nasty problem that he can't get to the bottom of, the reason he can't get to the bottom of it probably has to do with money; he is leery of corruption and skeptical about its absence. He is honest to a fault and will speak truth to power because he lacks the patience to do otherwise. He is reliable and steady but holds a healthy dose of personal caution that sometimes (not infrequently) fails to overbear his native stubbornness. He is pathologically incapable of letting go once he lets something take hold of him. He's really bad with relationships because it's not so much that he loves his job as that he finds it impossible to escape from it. He does his best work in the middle of the night. He probably drinks too much, because see above about all that shit he's seen.  +
Calevaro Stars +Calevaro is, at heart, a generous person. He cares about other people's problems and always tries to aleviate their pain. He tends not to judge people based on their social position, preferring to let their atitudes show who they really are. He's alsso quick to feel anger, tough he tries not to let his emotions guide his actions.  +
Caliban Assacu +While he's certainly happy to voice his opinions when whim takes him, Caliban tends toward an easy, relaxed demeanor. At times it can even be a bit irritating, as he's cheerfully committed to being cheerfully uncommitted; even with matters he takes seriously, it's rare for him to maintain any level of solemnity for long. His temper doesn't rise often, and when it does, it's usually a brief little flame, quickly snuffed. Usually. Usually.  +
Calista Fidante +Wild and passionate, living for the moment and thinking later on consequences, Calista was a nightmare for her many, many tutors trying to impress the need for propriety and restraint upon the infectiously charming young noblewoman. It's not that she doesn't understand the implications for scandal or how 'bad' behavior can horrify the oh-so-proper well heeled members of the Peerage, she simply feels if none of them know how to enjoy themselves it is hardly her problem and that if she makes a few elderly stuffy dukes drop dead in apoplexy from witnessing libertine behavior then perhaps Arx will be better for it. Still, she's more reserved (by her standards) around her far social superiors that could actually inflict real consequences upon her. She enjoys finding out where the limits lay, and just how close she can get to the line without crossing it.  +
Calla Vaevici +Love your family. Love your country. Love your people. There is no room in the Code for one's self, and Calla wishes she was better than she is, for even though she has memorized the lessons, she still is not comfortable with the eyes she gets from the woman in her mirror. Granted, she was never the best Vaevici, that honor reserved to literally ever other kinsmen of hers. The catch is that now they are dead, and Calla is the leader of those who remain, responsible for carrying her family's legacy. Even though her people are happy, Calla cannot convince herself. The Code demands perfection, and Calla has locked in her head her own worst judge. Sometimes the reprimands take the voice of her mother, sometimes her father's or siblings', but they always find something to use against her. Although she is personable, dignified and insightful to most, quite capable of hiding her own insecurities, truth is she might have lost her chance at sleeping soundly at night. This is her burden to bear, for her family, for her country and for her people.  +
Calliope Grimhall +Somewhat shy until comfortable, and yet, with a core of steel, she's not a doormat.  +
Calypso Malvici +Calypso Malvici never forgets that she holds the burden of command. She is tireless in the pursuit of excellence in herself and in her subordinates. She has generally been content to leave the politics to her brother, but when she and Hadrian clash is frequently over military risks. Her devotion to her troops leaves her distrustful of political risks that can cost lives. She distrusts notions of "honorable warfare" just as much. She is a deep thinker in whom duty and loyalty are second nature. That everyone she doesn't trust is implicitly suspect is a rarely-voiced belief, but it guides her actions. Calypso is deeply compassionate and implacable both. She sees no contradiction.  +
Cambria Mazetti +A Thraxian might call her tempestuous. An Oathlander wilful. Those of the Lyceum have their own words and phrases which are best not repeated here. All that is to say Cambria is neither meek nor timid, and despite her smaller stature, she is unafraid to stand up for herself and speak her mind. Cambria can also appear aloof, even distant, leaving others to assume she is without concern or care. Time spent in her company, however, reveals a woman who is actually quite attentive.  +
Camilla Pravus +Camilla has a dark edge to every thing she does: from how she slinks across ballrooms to the way she talks and dresses, there seems to be an natural disposition in the woman to evoke that which might find taboo or sinister. That makes the Setarcan a very specific kind of woman, and a very niche sort of courtier. Those drawn to dark forests at night, to the whispering of the graves and mirrors and reflections tend to find the woman fascinating. Those afraid fo such cannot help but feel unsettled. Camilla's values are simple: Only pain can give way to truth, and truth is beautiful. She is constantly, and subtly, pushing and urging others to face their reflections, always in playful ways that mask her intentions, at least at first. To Camilla, there is nothing to be learned when someone is in stasis, accepting of who they are. In peace nothing is gained, so she pushes, planting seeds for growth and change. Using her charisma to lure others into her games, Camilla is never bored, making the world beautiful by undoing one lie at a time.  +
