It is this knowledge that motivates her to rage against the stereotypes of her people, instead presenting herself as a woman of authenticity and sincerity in the social realm. She prides herself in her work serving House Pravus and it is when ill words are spoken against them or Setarco that the true fire of a passionate heart becomes exposed to denounce such attacks. The silk-clad lady is generally mild mannered, preferring a stance of thoughtful silence and observation to better focus on her tasks rather than partaking in idle conversations. To some this aloof nature can most definitely be construed as ego, but to those who know her or who have taken a quiet moment to engage the handmaid in private conversation it is clear her soft-spoken demeanor is not of a higher-than-thou attitude, but more simply the workings of conservative wisdom of a woman who has observed the machinations of manipulation for a lifetime from the shadow of a servant's place.

  Ask most people about Soren, and they'd say the man either unnerves them or that he saved their life while bleeding out on some gods-forsaken battlefield. Or both. Doesn't bother Soren any, but there's not a lot that truly bothers him. Some would classify the medic as a sociopath, but that wouldn't be entirely true. Numb would be a better descriptor. Seeing so much, having gone through so much, the only option was to disconnect his feelings from his brain. He still feels them but doesnt process or recognize them. So perhaps 'well-intentioned' sociopath would work. Altruism isn't lost on him, if he finds someone who he views as 'good', there are times where they become his moral compass, that he wants to do good, he wants to help people, but there are times he no longer knows what that means anymore. And even though he wants to help, there are times where helping is best done by saving a life. Or ending one's pain cleanly. Or killing someone that's become a threat and having the benefit of not having to wring his hands after the fact. Things 'that just need to be done'. It's not personal, it's just what has to happen. At the same people who he sees as a moral compass are the ones he's highly dedicated to the most. Loyalty is never a question when it's come to these select few that understand the way his mind works.

Despite this she is just as likely to answer a straight forwards inquiry with monosyllabic 'fine' as she is some poetic non-sequester. Action on the other hand Aslaug is freer with, she is a tactile creature who touches people, smells them. She saviors tastes and sounds alike. Her eyes and expressions, when allowed out from under her floppy hat's brim, are often a curious blend of interest and patience. If her mystery is deliberate or accidental it is no less the case. The wanderer leaves many more questions in the world around her than answers and seems unbothered by as much. She does not seem gleeful or to delight in the puzzle she presents to the world, it simply is, as so many other confounding things are.
