Born a commoner, Vaela's parents were less than thrilled with her arrival. They hadn't planned to have a child and they made that well known during her childhood. She was raised well enough, she supposed, despite their neglect. Vaela set off on her own in her early teens. While her mother and father are still alive somewhere, she couldn't care less about them. Instead, she choose a life of small time thievery, even if it was out of necessity. She often introduces herself as an orphan, her loyalties lying only with the crown. She'd always had a rule that she'd be an honorable thief, only taking what she needed to survive, whatever it may be. She told herself that she would never steal for profit, but lately things have started to look awful tempting. She struggles with her own conscience often, swaying in either direction at times.

She stands at an unassuming height of just over five feet. Her build is thick as well as shapely, riding the line between the traditional hourglass and pear shaped body types. She carries a bit of extra weight, though her dangerous curvature allowing her to wear it well. Her unblemished complexion is perfect for the smooth caramel tone of her flesh, which in turn lends itself to play off of her exotic features. Her naturally straight ebony hair hangs down to her shoulders when it isn't twisted into a simple ponytail that's held together by a single knot. A pair of thin brows rests over almost shaped, emerald eyes that are framed by her long, sweeping eyelashes. Her immaculate bone structure allows her high cheekbones, which along with such evenly distributed features, allows for quite the appearance. A pair of lush, pouty lips sit just just below a cute nose that's average in size and definitely to scale.

Vaela is generally shy and reserved, though often her silence is to avoid drawing unncessary attention to herself. Any friend of her's will tell you that once she gets to know someone (or, in a tough situation) her charisma can and will shine through. She can be loyal to a fault, which is a lesson she refuses to grasp.
