Rodor was born the son of Uthur Thorne, a wealthy merchant whose empire spanned across the seas. Due to the family wealth, Rodor was given a fine education growing up, from a young age he was also encouraged to practice and learn the skilled art of swordplay. He showed remarkable promise with the blade, more so than his Father's ambition for him to continue the family trade. Instead, Rodor soon found himself under the watchful eye of Sir Greyhawth as a Page and eventually a Squire. Greyhawth was as good as a teacher as he was a Knight and could see Rodor's potential. After stumbling across a bandit raiding party of a rural village, Greyhawth and Rodor would intervene and fight to liberate the townspeople. Rodor would prove himself in battle when he saved Greyhawth's life in a combat encounter. It would be this act of bravery that would earn Rodor his dubbing as a Knight of the realm. However, he would soon be placed in the service of Lord Smuttering, a loathsome man who utilised his Knights to terrorise local villages and townspeople in order to strengthen his hold. After enduring this, Rodor decided to flee his Lord's service, rather than risk the temptation of turning against his Lord instead. Now, Rodor moves through the land without a master but with the hope that he finds true greatness in the years to follow.

Rodor is a well maintained man with short, smart brown hair and a clean shaven face. He has a strong jawline and piercing eyes. Unlike a lot of Knights, he does not have any scars on his face. With a strong athletic build, Rodor wears heavy plate armour, which always shines an impressive silver. His helmet bares a red plume, which matches the colour of his family crest. On his shield bares the Thorn coat of arms, a yellow phoenix with three black feathers upon a red background. He prefers to use a single handed sword when fighting, as he likes to utilise a shield in battle. When he is not in combat attire, he wears impressive silks and garments, mainly due to his family having the money and resources to pay for such a lifestyle.

A friendly, loyal and polite Knight who takes his position very seriously. Rodor is well educated and thus understands that language and social interaction is just as important as the ability to weald a blade. He has spent a considerable amount of time travelling the roads and thus has a good knowledge of how to conduct ones self in the company of people of all social stances. Despite being devoted to the vows and stance that a Knight undertakes, Rodor does have a strong moral compass which come sometimes get in the way of what should be done.
