Description

Scars play a contradictory story across her face. The most noticeable are deep and angry, four raked diagonally from right to left and just barely missing both eyes, with another that connects across her left cheek, and a final one over her forehead. There are others, however, that are more careful and more deliberate, a design traced over her features that has been marred, but not destroyed. Black hair hangs loose, not far past her chin, and there are usually two raven feathers bound to a lock of it that are not always obvious at first glance.

There's not a lot of bulk to the woman, her height utterly unremarkable, but there is no mistaking the defined musculature, the well toned limbs, the way she carries herself even without a drawn weapon. There is nothing delicate to be found here. She has an ease of movement even under harsh conditions, but it's not the fluidity of a dancer so much as the learned finesse of someone who has spent their life surviving by being quick on their feet. In the same way, perhaps, she has a light step even when she doesn't appear to be making any conscious effort to move quietly.

Personality

She's intense. Not always, of course, but frequently enough that it's a single word that encompasses her quite well, even when she's seemingly relaxed. Her temper is hot or cold, and nothing in-between, but even when she doesn't appear to be angry, even when she seems calm and relaxed, even content, there is something just beneath the surface that gives off the faintest impression of danger. The slightest sense that regardless of how openly angry she may become, she's holding back something infinitely more.

Background

Sen grew up Abandoned in the far northern wilds, the adopted child of a nomadic tribe that often ranged well into the Everwinter. She has stories of that tribe and that life, but always past tense, told in a way that makes clear there will never be any more that are quite the same. There are other stories. Stories of mercenaries and thieves, stories of raging wars and small battles. Stories about monsters; some of them weren't even human. She'll say she doesn't believe in heroes, but she has stories about them anyway. Those, however, are also past tense. There will be more, of course, but never quite the same. Sen seems comfortable with this. Things change. She prefers when her choices are the reason why they do.
