Description
Tall and coldly beautiful, with eyes the color of ice beneath a blue sky, Evaine appears more created than born. Undoubtedly much of this is artifice, but there's no faking such striking bone structure - or those ridiculously long legs. She keeps her hair rather short, a thick white blonde mane bluntly snipped mid-neck. Never ruffled or disheveled, her demeanor is one of polish, poise, and self-possession.
Personality
It takes a lot of work to appear always calm, cool and relaxed, and Evaine is a very hard worker. She moves with languid grace, speaks with an unhurried tone verging on a drawl, and even her smiles are a slow, deliberate curl. This langorous demeanor is, however, paired with an intense drive, and focus. Never does Evaine shy away from a goal because the way to it is difficult. She is not a procrastinator, nor easily distracted.
Background
The granddaughter of prodigals, Evaine has cultivated an air of culture, education and grace that pair well with the statuesque physiology that particular heritage has given her. She was born and raised poor, in the lower boroughs, her mother a washerwoman and her father working on the docks. They died fairly young, as people who work hard for not much money often do, and Evaine has been on her own since her early teens. They taught her well, though, and she did fine for herself through a combination of wits and training in a hand-to-hand style of combat her grandmother had brought from her tribe, taught to her own children, who in turn taught Evaine.
Her beauty and grace made acting a natural choice of profession, and so she joined the Black Rose mummers and in a few years, she has risen to the very top.
This is not to say she always plays the lead role in their productions, but she does oversee the booking of their gigs, vet scripts, hire and discipline actors and stagehands alike, and is the public face of the company among the citizenry.
