Description

The young man's hair is sandy blonde, straight and often swept to one side. His eyes are sapphire blue. Above a square jaw are full cheeks and a mouth prone to smiles. He is of average height with something careless in his gait. His mannerisms are diverse, but tend to be expressive and gregarious, unless he is speaking on matters of Faith or setting up a jest.

Personality

Remy is undeniably good-natured. He is blithe and chatty, and doesn't seem to take himself or many other things too seriously, save when called to act in the office of The Faith. He seems to have genuine affection for human company without regard to rank or personality, and considers all of life's pleasures to be blessings from Gild. He is generous with words and wealth, and quite eagerly accepts the generosity of others - especially at the banquet tables of Arx.

Background

Remy Tulaire spent his early childhood in Sanctum. His mother traded in imports and his father was a sailor. At age eight, the Tulaire's moved to Arx, and settled in the Upper Boroughs, where Remy and his brother Cecil were educated by Sister Tiana. When Remy was fourteen, his father never returned from a voyage to Setarco. His mother Charlotte joined the Silver Consortium in Arx, where dedication to her contracts made her popular.

Sister Tiana counseled Charlotte to enroll Remy in the Academy of Vellichor when he came of age, and it was done. Though he excelled in understanding, he was lazy in his studies and would find excuses to speak with his mother's clients on matters of markets and trade. The Silent War brought heartbreak to the Tulaire family, as Cecil was killed when bringers breached the city. Remy and Charlotte spent many months in mourning. Eventually, by the mentorship of Sister Tiana, Remy came to the discipleship of Gild, and maintained close ties to the Knights of Solace whom he spares no effort to enrich in his brother's memory.

In Arx, Remy has been known to speak of the family of the Faith. Though typically opulent, he is known to have fasted and journeyed to holy places far from the rule of the Compact, seeking divine wisdom. Most often though, he is found at social gatherings of all kinds, listening, laughing, storytelling and enjoying all the pleasures of company.
