Ostler looks like what he is - a dreamy school boy now well into adulthood. His hazel eyes regard the world from beneath heavy lids. Though large enough of frame to be considered burly, he is running to fat and is rather conscious of his developing double chin. He has dexterous hands with long digits often waves them about when enthusing about a favorite topic or delivering a homily.

Personality

Ostler is a slow-moving but thorough person. Outwardly self-indulgent and indolent, he can be stirred to activity by curiosity or righteous indignation. He was a lazy scholar, but has a generally good grasp of theology and history. Soft-hearted and prone to make bd judgements through misplaced mercy.

Background

The youngest son of a large and relatively prosperous family of merchant farmers, Ostler was sent to the city for a formal education. He did not excel in his studies, but had a passion for history and obscure knowledge. Rather than apply himself further as a scholar he opted for what he assumed would be a softer life as a Priest of the Pantheon. During his time as an acolyte, he witnesses some of the actual evil (social and otherwise) in the world and acquired a conscience and a desire to make the world a better place. Nonetheless, he is still a generally indolent (but agreeable) fellow, content to wander the world on his small allowance and investigate whatever he finds interesting.
