Where there was a chieftan of the tribe, Alla devoted her and children to the protection of the clan during it's nomadic wanderings. So this role fell onto Vano. There always had to be hunters and warriors to protect the rest from the dangers of the wilds. It was a job or maybe a career, but Vano would consider it a calling. And for years, that's what it was. Whether it was a dispute with another clan, various conflicts with houses of the Oathlands or just the general fauna, Vano was one of those on the frontlines, protecting the tribe or getting vengeance for some preceived insult. The young man was considered something of a prodigy. While Vano distrusted bending knee to Valardin, and by extension the Compact, believing they were giving up their entire heritage and freedom in the process of doing so, he realized there's a bit of irony in that, considering how so many of them, including himself, had been posessedby Brand and made to fight during the Seige. He was one of the lucky ones to of survived. One prison for another, even if felt a certain degree of guilt for being unable to control his own actions. So bending knee is certainly more prefable result than his entire clan being killed off. So, silver linings. So now suddenly Lord Vano Rivenshari, Vano now has to figure out how to apply himself to his family. Still a warrior, still knows how to fight, but it has to be applied in a better manner. Until a thought occurred to him one day about this whole 'knighthood' thing. He needed to be given a direction, something to apply himself to. Better that than languishing in a city he doesn't completely understand.". Since there have been only a few results, also nearby values are displayed.
