Their family name was then struck from record, their lands reclaimed, their nobility stripped. Volya and Rebecca came away with nothing, and there is very little either can do about that. They can't undo the damage their parents did, but neither are they ready to give up all noble claim. Tracing their maternal lineage back to the Argentos of Nilanza, they've sworn to Malespero to make a new beginning here, to be a part of a house that values oaths and understands betrayal.
