Venuste was the daughter of Lalin and Maua Rajah and was the seventh child born to the pair. Lalin was the handmaiden to Triega, wife of Chief Aegis. Venuste practically grew up with Gavier, Raqui, Athaur, Eshra, and Mattheu along with their cousin's Vano and Lavinia. She was raised and educated as they were, playing with them, laughing with them and getting into mischief with them. She excelled at performance even from a young age and had a beauty about her that was nearly unrivaled among her people. With her enchanting voice and her beauty, she became quite successful in manipulating those around, a skill that wasn't missed by her parents or the Chief. She was employed on many occasions to go on diplomatic affairs with the Chief and his council to other tribes as she grew, and she developed a sort of fame for her ability to sing and dance. When she fell to Brand's influence, however, her gifts were turned against her own people and she will never forget some of the things she has done, but, she will try to make them right. It wasn't necessarily a secret, but not overly public either, she was in a relationship with Raqui, and the topic of marriage had come up, though, that topic was short-lived, for during Brand's slaughter Raqui fell. When the dust settled Venuste was broken, shattered to the core. The former bright and shining personality had darkened, her voice no longing carrying with it that cheerful lyrical nature, even her movements darkened and with pain. She mourned Raqui, and when the others left for Arx to bend the knee, she stayed in Riva falling into her faith in the spirits to help mend the wounds of her heart and soul. But now, it has been some time, her radiant nature slowly returning, her will to fight against the darkness inside returning.
