A
Ashlyn Velenosa/Reflection +She’s laced with curiosity and mystery. Intrigued by the unknown and by nature. She is kind and open to those she meets, learning from others and offers insight in return. She is mysterious and always apt to hear the tales of others as she calculates a way to work her way up through society. She is drawn to lore and secrets. Quiet and perhaps a bit strange and doesn’t seem inclined to call herself better than others. She is kind by nature and ready to aid or defend those she cares about.  +
Ashur Sanna +It's not that Ashur has no social graces. He simply doesn't have time for them. He worked on his impatience, truly he did. But it was hard sitting around and sipping alcohol when there was a world to uncover and understand. Determined. That was Ashur. Determined in all things; to tinker with a gadget, to find a new path, to seek a lost artifact. It was a madness, almost. A consuming thirst that would never be quenched so long as the lure of something new existed just beyond the horizon.  +
Aslaug Winge +Aslaug does not share much of herself with many, even her words come rare and after some contemplation. Despite this she is just as likely to answer a straight forwards inquiry with monosyllabic 'fine' as she is some poetic non-sequester. Action on the other hand Aslaug is freer with, she is a tactile creature who touches people, smells them. She saviors tastes and sounds alike. Her eyes and expressions, when allowed out from under her floppy hat's brim, are often a curious blend of interest and patience. If her mystery is deliberate or accidental it is no less the case. The wanderer leaves many more questions in the world around her than answers and seems unbothered by as much. She does not seem gleeful or to delight in the puzzle she presents to the world, it simply is, as so many other confounding things are.  +
Asphodel Leary +Asphodel Leary was a charming and happy child, the life of gatherings, and a fast friend. Her disfigurement has changed her, making of her presence an aloof, quiet and strange thing, prone to unwelcome observations and offputting metaphors. A young woman who was once an open book has become something of an enigma with a preference for solitude, the macabre and the hidden. Despite her trauma and seclusion she is capable of society, and those who tolerate her obliqueness may find a friend or a resilient ally offering uncommon perspective.  +
Asralyn Venac +In her is incapsulated all the best and worst traits of a survivor. She is quick to her own defense, cynical to take up the defense of others. Secretive, even with nothing to hide, and prone to bouts of excessive joviality and deeper depressions. A life in service to coin at the tip of a spear has robbed the young woman of much and instilled in her a taste for mindless violence and a hunger for ill-defined freedoms. She is rabble, without origin or loyalty, and where the chaos of this lifestyle takes her is fine enough a destination.  +
Asriel Darkwater +Oh, Asriel - brooding, brilliant, bone-tired Asriel. He isn't without his eccentricites, but whatever charm was lacking in the former Count Draevor Darkwater wasn't lost from the family line entirely. As it would turn out, it just blew into the sails of his brother instead. Which is to say Asriel Darkwater is terribly charming, or at least he can be when he wishes it. That charm is even sometimes enough to smooth over whatever strange glances he's prone to collecting when a wild idea finds itself entangled in the shroud of his frenetic, often unyielding curiosity. He can be generous or selfish by turns, caring or cold-shouldered, quite compendious or loquaciously brimming. The only constant is that he's rarely ever lost between them, showcasing himself as a creature of extremes.  +
Asterion Havmarke +Asterion is a harsh man, and there is little effort made to blunt that fact. His speech is low, clear, and concise, evident indicators of his low tolerance for mirth or fancy. He's quick to offer corrections, always with the appropriate level of deference, though they are typically made only once. He carries an air of authority brought about by a quiet confidence and keen understanding of natural hierarchies. Above all, though, he is a man of convictions and unwavering loyalty, walking through life as though all the Gods are watching.  +
Astor Larrant +Astor is a curious yet skeptical traveling apothecary and merchant who found his way into Arx somewhat recently after traveling through Arvum. As such, he is both weary and wary of travel. Though trained in the practice of an apothecary, he considers himself a 'student for life' of a relatively uncommon, yet intriguing trade.  +
Astraea Redrain +Coquettish to a fault and debonair even when she shouldn't be. Astraea has impeccable manners and doesn't believe in rudeness of any kind, even upon the battlefield. Though some might describe her as pragmatic this chevalier is highly principled and carries herself with the moral fiber of someone who keeps themselves accountable for their own actions. While her moods tend to vary like her sister's she is most usually in high spirits, but never quite bubbly. Even suggesting such a thing is enough to earn a scoff and maybe a derisive chuckle or two. It's normally assumed that soldiers, knights and warriors of her caliber tend to be highly disciplined but this Lycene born princess is quite lazy. Never when it counts, but enough that if she can delegate or sidestep a minor responsibility she will. This attitude lends to her Tehom-may-care demeanor and compliments her sometimes too serious moments quite well. A woman of contrasts indeed.  +
Astraea Valardin +Coquettish to a fault and debonair even when she shouldn't be. Astraea has impeccable manners and doesn't believe in rudeness of any kind, even upon the battlefield. Astrid Ulbran +Astrid is the kind the of person that sets her mind to a goal and doesn't stop until it's complete. The first example of this was her complete makeover from an Ulbran-raised orphan to a respectable member of the priesthood. She found mentors and teachers to help with her meteoric rise, polishing off the rough edges and cultivating a reputation as warm, inviting, and earnest in her dealings with the Faithful of Arx and beyond. Very few people aren't met with an inviting smile, and everyone is shown kindness.  +
Astyr Vanha +Astyr has a great deal of respect for force magnifiers. It could be a lever to move a stone, an offer to move the markets, or a word to move a kingdom. She is keenly aware of how quickly circumstances can change, and how hard it can be to rebuild what was once destroyed. She has seen ruin and it has left her fiercely determined to build, to craft a wall of silver and secrets and with it shield her and hers.  +
Aswin Ulbran +Aswin could be described by some as cold-blooded and calculating, but the truth of the matter is that he is a creature of extreme discipline and attempted order in a world where so much of his life has been the product of wild circumstance. While his early life in the Lowers was chaos, Aswin learned to channel what order he could over what he had control of... himself. And so he considers his actions, be they in service to his family or in service to himself, carefully. Weighing the probable outcome of each action in an effort to bring about his desired result. Cynical in most cases, Aswin tends to think most matters could be settled with a blade rather than pandering around with lengthy words.  +
Athaur Rivenshari +Athaur is a deeply intense man that prefers to show the world his playful, carefree side, while inside he's two steps ahead of his enemies. Always seeking to find that angle, he plays people like a chess game and his strategy is rarely off. He is a man of his word but he always words things in a way that allows him to take a loophole if needed. Fiercely loyal to his people, Athaur will take on the world to keep what remains of the Rivenshari safe, even if that means going on bended knee to a Compact that he once mocked.  +
Atherton Galeren +Atherton is not what you might call the life of the party. He's generally gruff, relatively humorless, and a touch paranoid. A little booze will help two of those but he generally stays sober for that exact reason. More positively, he's slow to real anger, calculating, and deliberate in his actions. There's a reason he's lived this long in his line of work.  +
Atreylan Hollowood +Bold words can be more dangerous than anything for a man without a castle to hide behind, a fact that Atreyan has known since youth. For that reason, he has always worked hard to moderate his temperament and is able to weather a storm of insults like a armored knight beneath swings of a sword. While more than equipped to offer verbal ripostes of his own, he strives to maintain his decorum. That is not to say he has never drawn blood with a phrase, but when he did, it was with the utmost understanding of the consequences. And a sureness that he could withstand the reply.  +
Atria Ulixes +Social Justice Warrior and Cardian are not two concepts that the average Arvani would put together. This comes by, no pun intended, a scale of degrees. For a Cardian, Atria is a Social Justice Warrior. Oh, she's not out there arguing daily that the slavery is a horrible practice that must be ended; she's arguing that maybe Cardia has enough sources of slaves that Arvum doesn't have to become another one. She's not protesting that the Talons should get to have their wars and skirmishes where needed, or that the standing army needs to be slashed; no, she's arguing it's a bigger show of Cardian dominance to just fly where they want, whether they control the area or not. But most of all, Atria argues for promises kept. Nothing has ever made her so angry as a promise broken, from childhood til now.  +
Atrid Darkwater +Atrid is a gruff rough and tumble blunt and brutally honest man. He has no filter and will tell you what he thinks when he thinks it with no hesitation. He believes in fair play and honesty but he also has the mentality of take what you want and give nothing back live with no regrets.  +
Auda Crown +Scrappy, spitfire, too mouthy for her own good. Auda has survived on pure grit and determination, and it's easily seen in bright eyes and guarded postures. She's very, very slow to let people in, but that's not really rare in a city this big. Auda's quick to make acquaintances, of course, but real friends seem few and far between.  +
Auda Florin +Auda has survived on pure grit and determination, and it's easily seen in her bright eyes and casual confidence. She's quick to make acquaintances, generally friendly and open to socializing-- but true friends seem fewer and farther between. She's rarely far from a grin or a laugh, and seems to have a pretty sunny outlook on life for one who grew up an orphan in the Lowers.  +

Audgrim Veilandir +Audgrim is a man of cynical humor and the capability to not let his emotions rule. However, he is not asocial - he can enjoy a drink with friendly people, he can tell a story and he enjoys hearing a good one. But he does not trust easily and does not open up to just anyone. From hard life experiences he may seem overly suspicious of situations most would think are harmless, a quirk that sometimes see him refusing to enter an inn, or walk down a certain street - as if he imagines monsters waiting.  +
Audrey None (formerly Valardin) +Audrey is not a woman of many words, the years have taught her to keep it to herself. A veritable wallflower, the warrior assumes she is not on anyone's mind and tries to play her role to perfection. Even though that paints a muted picture, observation of Audrey reveals far more beneath the surface. She is kind to those around her and she is the type to share her food with soldiers who have gotten less. She gives the time of her day to commonfolk that will talk to her and she responds to kindness with a smile and guarded warmth. The fighter is obviously a wounded woman, bearing a great burden, something some Oathlanders might recognize. Audrey bears her burden well, but if she can find respite in a good talk, she will, as acts of kindness towards her are few and far between. On the subject of kinslaying, Audrey does not speak of it. Commoners might take that as admission of guilt and some sort of shame, but silence precludes Audrey from lying. For as long as she remains silent on the subject, the truth is what others will make of it, and she will remain guilty, as she desires.  +
Audric Crown +Arrogant, ruthless, completely unburdened by scruples or anything with a passing resemblence to honor, Audric should not be a likable man at all. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, the sellsword captain is charming only in the way that the completely unconscionable and amoral can be. Friendly, cheerful (particularly during and after the acquisition of money), and with a base cunning that provides him with just enough empathy to guess what a mark most what to hear, the irredeemable rogue has a winning charisma that has somehow kept him alive even when absolutely surrounded by cutthroats. Afterall, he is one.  +
