Description
Elegant, in a way where natural and refined collide, Segrid seems like a woman who is comfortable in her body. She has a supple litheness that is not uncommon in women of her age, that being one just turning the page into the younger stages of maturity. With skin the color of cream and sea-green eyes, her fine features possess a purity that becomes a little daunting because she does not smile much. When she does it is transformative and bright, but more sultry and mysterious than gregarious. Her hair is the sort of blonde that has less to do with golden tones than silver. Her lashes, however, are sable and long. Shes a little tall, slender but curved appropriately. Clear-skinned, she also has a faint blush, with rosey lips that seem like they could be far more expressive than she allows. She's prone to stretching and flexing her fingers, and when at rest it is with a feline languor.
Personality
Charismatic and astute, a social chameleon. She is watchful and eager to learn and experience, and is comfortable with individuals from every part of the social strata. She keeps an air of mystery, with a personality range that goes from innocent to something far less so, and what she may or may not know about the world-- both night and day-- could keep people guessing.
Background
A foundling, originating in mystery and no closer to clarity than when she began, Segrid has been the ward of Vernan Culler since he discovered her in a port city on the far edge of the continent. Blonde and green-eyed, dressed in exotic tatters and utterly mute, she was able to capture something in him that has compelled his care ever since. Though he never formally adopted her or sought to have her brought into the Culler family, he has seen to her education and welfare. As a young girl she proved especially astute and mannerly, and with advice he determined to school her as a courtier. She was sent away for that, to return a cultivated and sophisticated young woman with enough personal charms to recommend her to a good position. Never having spoken until she was about 9 (her real age being hard to determine), she seems unlikely to spill secrets even now.
