This was a pretty big dream for this boy, his parents being day labors when they could find jobs and beggars when they couldn't. He himself was put to work young, either working for his pay or asking for handouts. It was a tough, pitiful life, and there didn't seem to be an end. One fateful day in his late teens, everything changed. Begging on the streets, a rather lovely fainting goat of a Valardian princess, half out of breath and flush faced, gave him a rather large (for a beggar) sum of silver. But did he do the wise thing and buy some food? No; he bought some things to trade, and traded it, then traded some more, and traded even more, trading up and up until he was able to turn the princess's small donation/investment into a nice chunk of silver. And then he never went hungry again, finding his calling as a trader. Now he has found that once Princess who is now a Marquessa and has sworn his allegiance to the Sanna family as well as to Giant's Reach, eager to aid her as she aided him those many years ago and repay the old debt.ose many years ago and repay the old debt.)
