Description

Videsi is an stooped, aging man with a shock of frizzy white hair surrounding his balding crown. His face is all wrinkles and hair--from his bushy eyebrows to his sagging cheeks, down to his broad mustache and beard. His lips are frequently stained purple from the pomegranates he is rarely seen without.

Personality

Videsi is odd. There's no other way to explain him. He stares at erstwhile customers just a little too intensely, kneads his hands just a little too solicitously, talks to himself--and his wares--just a bit too often.

Okay, far too often.

The man is fastidious, if nothing else. Whenever he sets up shop, he's sure to carefully clean the area around his little cart of wares, and the stools he puts out for would-be buyers are always spotlessly clean and lacquered. A marvel, really, given the constant cloud of pipe-smoke that surrounds him like a nimbus.

Background

Videsi is a somewhat regular sight among the people of Arx. The man has been hawking goods from his cart for decades, growing old along with the creaky wheels of his cared-for but warped and aging wagon. Some years back, the man vanished, leaving his quickly plundered cart behind. It was another sad story of a robbery gone wrong, and with no family, Videsi quickly became but a memory, and even more quickly was forgotten. Recently, though, Videsi has shown up in the city, accompanied by a new cart burdened with all sorts of exotic curios. It would seem the man has found new suppliers; now he just needs to find the right buyers...
