Grew up in middle-class suburbs of Arx, a child of merchants, but a sickly disposition in childhood confined him to his home for much of his youth. He gained escape through books and tales of distant lands. As he neared adulthood, his strength grew, and soon he was well enough to leave home and travel on his own. He ascribes this recovery to the gods, and in order to thank them for this miracle, he has vowed to travel the land and give praise to the pantheon.

Middling height, with tan skin and short, dark hair. His eyes remain dull and brown, except when a sudden passion overtakes them, when they seem to shine. Bags under his eyes belie a history of illness. A high forehead and long sharp nose sit above a thin jawline with patches of stubble. Perpetually thin.

Generally reserved, but becomes animated and passionate when discussing philosophy and theology. Seeks to unveil the world's wonders, as these reveal the handiwork of the gods. Is quick to gain companionship along his travels, but true friendship is not something given away so easily. Wry sense of wit.
