Description

With a heart-shaped face, rich brown skin and eyes the color of chocolate, Nekarris looks sugary sweet and adorable. She does her best to combat this with the most vampy aesthetics the Lyceum had to offer: dark, smoky kohl around her eyes, big and intimidating jewelry, and a wardrobe that seems to consist largely of black lace draped over her generous curves. Still, her glamorous affectations can't hide the wild gleam of laughter in her eyes, or the wide troublemaker's grin that lights up her face at the first hint of fun - or melodrama.

Personality

The life of the party, that's Nekarris. Sometimes, that means she's the violent, pulsing beat of the party - but more often she's just your usual middle noblewoman, young and comfortable in the lifestyle. She likes to have a good time, and if her penchant for idle gossip is a bit less than admirable, it's certainly nothing pernicious.

Background

Growing up in the Lyceum, Nekarris knew a life of privilege and wealth and utter insignificance. Her family, the lower levels of the nobility, were truly more akin to Merchant Barons, which meant she wanted for nothing but purpose. Or, wanted might be a strong term. Nekarris has been perfectly content to coast through life, enjoying parties and social scheming and - briefly - even a political marriage! Oh, right. When she was nineteen, Nekarris was promised to a Thraxian vassal, and became the Countess Darkwater. Her husband Ixion was young and brash and utterly taken with her. They were a happy couple, he brash and bold and bossy as a Thrax should be, she coquettish and manipulative and completely in control. He died in a skirmish with pirates - certainly pirates, and definitely not any lingering captains who were involved in the Tyde rebellion.

Nekarris grieved him, as hard as a new wife could (and for a totally appropriate amount of time), and then just..never got around to going back to Setarco. Ixion's younger brother likes having her around. She's a safe outlet for him to practice his domineering, and honestly she enjoys the game, too.
