Description

Elyse is a little over average height, but she's whip-cord thin and lithe enough that the height is often overlooked. Her skin is pale, although frequently her cheeks are sunburned from exposure to too much light. Wide blue eyes are often dancing merrily with some joke or another, amusement at the world and all that is within it a hallmark of her very personality. The crowning jewel of her appearance is the long, thick dark red hair that has very obviously been well kept, and tends to be brushed back from her face.

Personality

Elyse is cheerful, sometimes to the point that she's driven people mad with her good natured laughter and always seeing the bright side of things. It's also been known to put people at ease, and cause them to grossly underestimate her. She's just as ruthless as is usually expected from someone in her position, and she's willing to do the dirtiest jobs. But always with a smile.

Background

Elyse was born pretty poor, her father worked in a stable in the Lyceum and her mother had died when she was fairly young. It was a day to day struggle to get by, and Elyse fell in with a bad crowd fairly quickly, one that she honestly really never moved away from.

There was two problems with this. Elyse felt she was too smart, and too clever, to waste her life away clawing and digging for even enough to survive. And two, well, two and one are really one in the same. Because of that, she joined up with the Valorous Few as soon as she was able to. Glory, money, adventure? It was the best options that she saw for the direction she wanted her life to go in. She cut her teeth on the jobs they had in the Lyceum, and then left with them when they moved on to different jobs. She started saving her money, determined to never be poor again. Admittedly, after Audric moved up to the Captain-General, she's gotten a little more free with her spending. But even still, she's fairly close-fisted with her money.
