Sometimes, things change though. The first big change in his life came when he took up fighting instead of fishing, the latter of which he showed no actual talent at, but the former he showed quite a bit. He excelled, in fact, and was eventually able to prove himself during a fight where he threw himself in front of the injured Sword of Caina, and kept the man alive. As thanks, when it became clear that the previous Sword would no longer be able to serve, he was given the honor. Much of his later training came via instruction by the old Sword, a refinement of technique until he eventually became the one that the nobles in Inverno would send their children to when it came time to learn. Although he sailed, when it was required of him, he mainly stayed on the island and taught others in his downtime. With the change in leadership from an Inverno to a Pravus, there has been some question of where his loyalty lies. No one could dispute that he'd protect the family, the House, and the people of Caina. But does that include their new Pravus overseers?s that include their new Pravus overseers?)
