Perhaps those rules, that clearly outlined code of behavior, is sometimes more obscure than at other times. It might just be because of the randomness of things, the way the world as you know it skews hard to the left when you expected it to veer gently right that Claudia has given herself a very strict code of conduct. Honor your deals, be honest in your deals with others, don't take the proverbial dump where you live. There are more, of course, little things that she's been developing since she was a child watching her father run a small shipping empire. Empire being a rather loose term, and more something fueled by the imagination of a child than the reality of being an adult. Claudia was the youngest born to a very minor noble house that over saw some of the trading done around Nilanza, and they made good profits. Many would argue that trading would be something beneath the nobility, and they might be right. When House Argento fell, she wasn't home in Nilanza, and in fact, she decided that it might be best to make herself scarce. She knew what happened to her family, and that it all crumbled, that her father died of a broken heart after her mother was killed. But recently she's heard that it might be safe to come home, and take up a place among House Malespero, which is what she's done.".
