So as soon as she was old enough she was put on the ships and taught to sail, read the wind and sky, navigate by the stars, how to speak to those in other ports, to find the best deal. She built up a reputation of being able to find what people wanted, difficult, rare, expensive goods....none of that mattered. She'd always go the extra mile to make sure that the deal was honored. When House Argento fell, she wasn't home in Nilanza, and in fact, she decided that it might be best to make herself scarce. She knew what happened to her family, and that it all crumbled, that her father died of a broken heart after her mother was killed.
