Thoughtless and reckless as a youth, he grew a little more consideration only with time and repetition and the constant efforts of his parents and his lieges to discipline him. As a boy, he was always climbing trees, stealing olives, rolling in the mud, hiding in the weird spaces of the hall of the castle and getting into mischief. He never ran out of energy.
