She lost her parents when she was very little, so little she knows of them. Much like her older cousin Mirari Mailys was considered a child of beauty. Her aunt and uncle, the ones that vaguely raised this array of children, encouraged Mailys to go to Courtesan School, perhaps a little more forcefully than necessary. They wanted to capitalize on her looks. She agreed, since having people to pay for spending time with her really sounded a lot better than doing manual labour or something. |/|/And so began her life as a courtesan. She spent some years at the school learning the tricks of the train before a member of the Saik family took up a contract with Mailys to help her build connections with various nobles. With the noble she traveled around the Lyceum making connections. When she expressed the desire to become a Whisper she was released from her contract into the embrace of the Whisper House in Arx. In Arx she met with Mirari, who was in the process of becoming a Whisper, again and Mailys spent her time doing what she could to make the Whispers a name to remember.|/|/Then she fell in love. She met Jackson by chance one day, when she was playing Drink Roulette and made a public invite. He was bold with her and from then on - they grew closer and closer. One day they decided they were married, which made Mailys unbelievable happy. She tried staying a Whisper, she even ended up a Softest Whisper, but she simply did not feel right being an exception to a rule. She did not feel she had the pull to deserve the exception and she was unwilling to give up the choice to be wed to her beloved Jackson. So, she retired as a Courtesan.|/|/With Mirari Mailys established the Corsetina family. Sure, Mirari does the majority of the work but she fills bottles, picks plants, and makes little candied fruits. The minimal labour stuff. The only actual labour she enjoys, surprisingly enough, is woodworking. Mailys' part in expanding her family and making a name of it is the social aspect.
