Description

While not toweringly tall Lys does still stand above the average woman. She's a touch on the scrawny side except that she has the bearing of one who has recently filled out with some muscle definition. Long and graceful limbs have started to gain tone and definition. A halo of copper red curls adorns her and occasionally she tames them into a braid or some other high fashion style. Her eyes are a bright glimmering emerald, fringed with dark lashes. Her mouth is wide and expressive and just as likely to smile as to curl in a snarl of rage. Lys' skin is pale and speckled with a smattering of freckles.

Personality

Lys is the kind of girl one could imagine saying something like: "Don't make eye contact with me if you don't want to fight." It isn't that she's unpleasant, she can be quite charming when she wants to be... But it's just that she'd prefer to argue or better yet fight! Unless there's something expensive of pretty involved. She's quite like a magpie: aggressive, but loving of shiny things.

Background

Lys (that's 'lies' not 'liss') was born in the boroughs to some unremarkable family, she lived a pretty average life. She was poor and hated it. When she got old enough she started working as a shop apprentice to a tailor, and fell in love with the fancy clothing that would be commissioned. However, she never picked up the skill. She's not particularly good with a sewing needle. She also lost that job, and many afterward, for her tendency to fight with the customers or her boss or ... anyone that happens to pass by.

However, her life turned for the better when her cousin- Audric -was suddenly ennobled after then Prince Talen, now Archduke-Consort, Velenosa won the Rose Tournament and used his prize to found a Rose Barony for Audric who became Audric de Lire. So Lys tracked him down after a sometime and reminded him of her existence (he seemed a little surprised), and she became Lys de Lire.

She also realized around the same time that her cousin was the head of a Sellsword Company, and that would allow her to FIGHT quite a bit. And so... She asked him to let her join. And that is how Lys came to be. Lady Lys de Lire, member of the Valorous Few.
