Personality

Harper is aware she doesn't look like a warrior, but she is content to let her enemies make the mistake of underestimating her. What she lacks in experience she makes up for in sheer will, and an outright refusal to give up on herself and those she cares about. She is far from stoic, but keeps a level head on her shoulders and does not usually exhibit reckless behavior. In many ways she is still discovering who she is, but she has a good idea of what she does not wish to be.

Background

Harper was born among the denizens of the Lower Boroughs, before being relinquished to the Tragedy upon the untimely deaths of her parents at the behest of a serial killer. She grew up close to the most impoverished in Arx and witnessed their oppression, their suffering, and their helplessness. Someone needed to stand up and protect them, and that someone would be Harper.

She made sense of the chaotic, disorderly world she grew up in by formulating her own code of ethics and behavior. It was almost knight-like, if it wasn't obvious she distrusted knights. After teaching herself how to wield a blade by befriending a retired soldier and convincing him to adopt her, she decided to join the weakened Iron Guard after the betrayal of their former Lord Commander, sensing her chance to change it for the better and protect the city she loves.
