Description

Camilla is extremely pretty and commanding of a mischievous air that is unique to her, ever playful and dangerous infectious. A mane of chestnut brown locks spill down her head and goes past her shoulders, her ever-pale skin giving it nice contrast that never seems to tan, despite the Setarcan sun. Her amber-collored eyes gleaming with intellect, and her lips always curled into a knowing grin. Slender, Lady Milla's legs are long and lean, and although her waist is narrow, the slopes of her hips flare wide, contrasting with her otherwise slim figure.

Personality

Camilla is a bright star of a woman. Thanks to her harsh upbringing, the young woman had to adapt to negativity or be consumed by it, and what came out on the other side of her trials was someone with a sharp tongue and quick wits. Never one to allow herself or others to feel blue, that impulse sometimes makes her a strange company, as she will be the one to crack a innapropriate commentary at a funeral or fight. Wisecracking, charming and something mischievous for the sake of it, Camilla is enthralling and quite apt at deflecting bad moods back to the dark corners of the room, where they belong.

Background

Camilla was born a bastard, the fruit of a one-night affair between a Pravosi noblewoman and a foreign visitor. It remains unclear why the Sin had the child even after her lover left the next morning, but the songs of their torrid love affair and the insanity that followed the abandonment are still sung in taverns around Setarco. Still a child, Camilla had to watch as her mother mumbled in bed about the man who had taken her heart, this supposed king of far away lands who would be back for them one day.

Nicknamed Lady Milla by cruel children around the Pravus Keep, the young girl had to fend off for herself from an early age, developing a hardened personality and sharp tongue to lash back at her bullies. Every night Camilla looked at the skies and wished for a chance to change her life, promising to seize it if she ever had it. She had the will, but with so much darkness between each star, Camilla felt helpless in the eyes of the gods.

The opportunity to climb that imagined ladder came during a great gala at Pravus Keep, where all the young children of court would display their talents. Camilla could see it as clear as a day under two suns that her time had come, and with eerie certainty she put herself beside her formidable, and noble, relatives to impress the Duke and Duchess. Before the court, she searched for inspiration deep within herself, and although her performance was dazzling at first, that bottomless fear crept up her throat along with her inspiration, bringing the girl to her knees mid-performance.

She had choked and failed.

Some laughed, and she fled, humiliated. That very night, filled with sorrow that she might, indeed, never be more than a bastard, the stargazing girl was approached by a courtier of the House of Silken Words. The woman sat with Camilla and they talked throughout the night. Come the dawn, the courtier offered Camilla tutelage in the House free of charge, pleased with the conversation.

Her time at the House of Silken Words was a trial by fire, her teachers drawing passion from within Camilla, despite the ever-present fear in the core of her soul. They were merciless in shaping Camilla to the best version of herself, and eventually the woman conquered her dread-filled impulses. With the newfound bravery her personality was allowed to shine and, in time, Camilla became a household name. She performed like a woman possessed, giving one alluring show after the other, until she could not be denied. She was, finally, a star in Setarco.

Confirmation of such came when House Pravus bought her contract, and sent for Lady Milla. No more a simple bastard, the woman is now a highly-sought courtier whose's fame is not insubstantial. She is finally ready to meet her family again, and join the Sins in Arx.
