The eldest child and only daughter of the merchant lord Addio Matessi, Mira took to letters at an early age. Adept at her studies, her father financed her tutelege and spoiled her with books while her younger brothers fought and vied for a future share of their father's fortune. But while the boys contended with one another for their father's praise, it was bookish Mira that continued to hold his affection, and when her tutors recommended he have the girl schooled in the ways of the law, Addio consented, against his concerned wife's wishes. Now a fully trained lawyer, Mira is emerging into a wider world that she is fully confident can be tamed with just decorum and the law.

This woman's bright blue eyes are made wider and more expressive than they really are by the large, golden-rimmed spectacles she wears. Reddish-brown hair is usually grouped into something like a ponytail, though she also wears it in a formal braid or even a bun as circumstances demand. Prim, proper, and scholarly to a fault, she is also somewhat inconveniently curvy for her trade, with what would best be described as an hourglass figure. She is given to disapproving stares, huffs of indignation, and a very serious, business-like demeanor most times.

Sharp, quick, and well-versed when it comes to law and obscure lore, Mira is very much a bookworm and it shows in nearly every other social interaction. Shy, nervous, and a bit awkward when not arguing a case, she can, however, be quite the spitfire if provoked, though!
