Ironna Aerisian -- Irony to her friends, and /everyone/ is potentially a friend -- comes from a farm of no particular note near an unremarkable village along a boring road between two slightly-more-notable towns, where she was the youngest of five children and /constantly/ overshadowed by her siblings. In short, as she will lament to /anyone/, she has absolutely no interesting stories about her childhood or past. (Unless people want to hear complaints about being stuck in the same old /boring/ place every day for /sooooo long/. Those she can muster no small number of.) Her father left long ago, to hear her tell it, and she was raised just by her mother -- and when her mother passed away, young Irony decided to strike out on her own. And so she's come to Arx; initially she hoped desperately to join the Champions. Or become a knight. Or do /something/ interesting. Something none of her siblings has done yet. Because she will be the First at /something/, and something that will make a /difference/. Lately, however, her interests have focused far more specifically on knighthood, and how to be a True Knight. The sort of knight that makes a difference in the world -- the sort she thinks her mother might've been proud of.

This young woman is dark of complexion and hair, though there's a spray of darker freckles just visible across her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose. She's shorter than the average, a build one might refer to as 'petite', and while she's not actually /defensive/ about it she's quite happy to inform /anyone who asks/ that her mother was also very short. Her smoky green eyes are alight, a metaphorical inner fire burning at the young woman's heart that lends a bit more energy to every motion she makes and action she takes. She has a burning curiosity about anything and everything which catches her attention, and there's an intensity to her gaze when that curiosity seizes her -- a /force/ to her regard that almost borders on unsettling. But if she's a little too intense at time, she also has a ready smile and /boundless/ enthusiasm.

Ironna Aerisian could be best described as 'enthusiastic', and even that might be an understatement. Irony has Goals she plans to achieve, and the way she talks about them the capital letter is all but audible. So, so many goals... and nearly all of them are to do with being a Hero of the Realm, or a Knight of Valor, or a Reknowned Champion... or something else that can be capitalized dramatically and -- as she puts it -- make a /difference/. Oh, she's certainly friendly to those around her, but she can be terrifyingly intense when she finds someone knowledgable about the topics that interest her. And she seems to have led a surprisingly sheltered life in some ways, as the things she can be curious about are both many and varied.
