Description

Boyish charm grows into sleek attractiveness, and none moreso than Damon Wyrmguard. With a wink and a smile, hearts flutter across the entire realm, his sparkling sapphire eyes alive with mirth. Hair the color of starlight hangs just long enough to be stay fashionable, and tousled enough to be rakish, with little attention necessary. His handsome jaw gives him a strong, heroic air, and he has the build of a natural warrior. His laughs abound, and his manner is easy, even when he is buried in scrolls and documents.

Personality

Easy going, with a sharp mind, Damon crosses many social lines, easily accessible to a wide variety of person. He's well learned in many subjects, and eagerly tries to involve anyone he meets in a great discussion, debate, or simply dazzle them with his mind. While he can fight, he finds it tedious, preferring to read and study, his mind too quick for the rigors of battle. Many find it hard to hate the man, but don't understand why someone so naturally good with a blade would prefer to read a story, or learn about ancient history. He always has a kind word, and tries to find the good in people, and doesn't -try- to make someone feel stupid and unlearned. He just doesn't always understand that very few are as well read.

Background

Damon has always seemed bound and determined to defy the path laid out for him. He was exactly the kind of son any militant noble family dreams of having. He was strong, ridiculously attractive, talented with a sword, and combined the charisma of a promising young leader with the good natured affability that guaranteed he'd be liked. He was, in other words, the perfect spare second child to marry off for political gain or the beloved spare to the heir that could be reckless enough to win true renown on the field. But despite his talent and how well he acquitted himself while training to be a knight, the young man stunned his father by insisting that he wished to be a Scholar of Vellichor, that his true passion was learning and protecting knowledge, and that he had no desire to be the next great knight. While most houses of the Oathlands, House Wyrmguard included, have great respect for the Scholars of Vellichor, Marquis Denis Wyrmguard did not take the news well. Stopping just short of disowning his son, the trained knight traveled to Arx to study with the Scholars of Vellichor, his previous training allowing him to act as one of the Knights of the Archive, the armed guardians that safeguard the knowledge of the Compact. Since the tragic death of his father during the Tragedy at Sanctum, Damon has ended his semi-estrangement with his family and reunited with his sisters, determined to help aid the family while continuing his studies as a scholar-knight.
