Valentina is a noblewoman through and through. Everything from her poise to her flawless complexion speaks of gentility and an easy grace. Blonde hair falls below her shoulders in loosely-curled cascades of gold. Her features are soft, naturally feminine, with blue-gray eyes. She has a way of smiling that lights up her face, almost infectious in its charm, carving dimples into her cheeks as it makes itself known. Her physique is slender, full of feminine curves, flattering elegance, as well as soft in that way of a woman who has never done an honest day's work in her entire life.

Personality

Known to be a bit of a chinwag and a prolific gossiper, Valentina nevertheless maintains a studiously friendly and charming disposition. Engaging, though a bit painfully optimistic and not always firing on all cylinders, she is quick to provide a smile to mask other feelings. Typically avoids direct confrontations and overly-prone to flattery.

Background

Valentina was born in the prestigious and now destroyed Argento family of Nilanza. Her father, a man whose's ego bruised easily, raised Valentina in envy of their overlords. Everything was their fault, even bad crops or illnesses, and the young woman would never forget his lessons, even when leaving to the court at Setarco to be raised amongst Piero Pravus' children.

Being raised among the Pravus of Setarco allowed Valentina to understand their familial structure, their customs and befriend them. She withheld information to the Argento to spare those who had taken her in, but never stopped formulating plans on how to depose the weakened Pravus. Unlike her brash father, however, Valentina wanted no bloodshed.

The answer came in the form of the widowed Piero Pravus.

As soon as the young woman came of age she put herself to seduce the gullible duke of Pravus, managing to marry the man. Valentina had hoped to give him a heir, and then make Piero appoint their child as his successor, but before that could happen, tragedy struck. Vassals of Pravus rebelled and forced Piero's older daughter's hand, initiating a conflict that would end her plans for good.

Valentina would lose her husband in the conflict, and watched Belladonna rise to power. Valentina Pravus, born an Argento, was sure her plans had been uncovered, but the new duchess did not strike against her. The name Pravus, and her father's memory, had earned Valentina some mercy. From that moment on, for good or bad, she was part of the dreaded family of Setarco.
