Description

Small, slight, and with a nigh-perpetual harried look on her face, this young woman is clearly not built for labor. Her blue eyes would do just a little better job of standing out on her face if it weren't for the dark circles beneath them, and her hair hasn't seen a brush in some time. In spite of that, though, there's a definite sharpness in her gaze.

Personality

Theophania is driven and knows how to turn on the charm in a business setting, but past that, she's a little on the helpless side. Having been thrust into the realm of merchantry by the comparatively-early deaths of her parents, she's doing her best to keep her head above water but doesn't quite know where that metaphorical water line actually is. Easy to fluster when not discussing trade, she keeps her dreams simple: 'do just a little better than her parents.'

Background

Theophania is a second-generation merchant; her parents -- both from Chevalle -- traded in horses, to the surprise of essentially no one. Unfortunately, handling animals is the type of occupation that's rife with chances to be exposed to disease, and by Theophania's 20th year, they had both passed, leaving her with modest resources but few of their business connections. Rather than try to stick it out in the land where she grew up, Theophania made her way to Arx, where she turned what she had into trade goods, and began the process of building herself up as a trader.
