Description

One would be unlikely to guess that Orelia is a warrior. Her face resembles that of a doll's, with high cheekbones and long lashes to frame her stormy blue eyes. Her mouth is shaped in a delicate, natural pout. Blonde hair falls just below her shoulders, stick straight with tiny curls at the ends. There is a fluid grace to her movements as if every motion is an art to be perfected and in her eyes, a slightly wild look.

Although not visible, Orelia has two other notable features. The first of which is her voice. It's beautiful, lilting and honeyed when she speaks. Seductive and soulful when she sings. The second feature is her impaired hearing. Due to a head injury that occurred when she was a child, Orelia is deaf in her left ear.

{w({nCurrently, the noblewoman is sporting a split lip. Her face shows off a couple more small cuts and nasty bruise covers her stomach. Slender hands bare some minor bruising and scraped knuckles.{w){n

Personality

Like most noblewoman, Orelia has been well trained in etiquette and charm. Serious conversations and light hearted banter alike come easily to her. She has particular interest in the topics of philosophy and religion, able to debate them at length with any willing participants. Her hobbies aren't limited to intellectual tasks however. Orelia has quite the reputation of being a troublemaker within her family. From benign pranks, to setting her brother's diary pages to song, to getting into the occasional fight--Orelia can be a difficult woman. She has her mother's free spirit and an uncanny knack for talking her way out of trouble. Her love for the gods is strong but not enough to curb her appetite for mischievousness.

Background

Orelia's mother was from common blood, a soldier for the Lyceum named Eroza Arterius. Her father was a nobleman from the Stonewood family who'd become enamored with her mother's stubbornness and bravery. Although Orelia's mother died when she was two years old, her father spent many a night telling tales of her and Orelia's uncles exploits on the battlefield. The young girl would grow up on wild stories of soldiers and knights.

As a child, Orelia would run around the grounds of their estate getting into trouble and play fighting with her middle brother. Her eldest brother tried his best to temper her mischief by distracting her with more stories. These were about the gods. She found just as much joy in listening to them as she did when hearing of how her mother bested someone in a duel.

Her brother managed to channel some of her energy into putting these tales into songs of worship. Orelia had a great talent for composing music as well as performing it and as she grew older, she spent less time playing pranks and more singing. At least, publicly. Unbeknownst to her brothers, she'd struck a deal with her father to behave. For as long as she avoided causing a fuss, he'd pay for a private tutor to teach her how to fight.

Now as a young woman, Orelia has devoted herself to sword and songcraft. She has come to Arx to trace down any of her Arterius relatives and to see if she might gain a place in one of the many military orders there.
