Description
At 5'10", Kace is quite tall for her gender. She carries herself well, with confidence and a natural air of leadership that is expected to accompany one of her rank. She has a strong face with mixed features; thick, arched brows over almond-shaped eyes, a nose that is perhaps a bit broad for her face and seems to have been broken in the past, a generous mouth that seems a bit small for her, and a strong jaw with a delicately pointed chin. Her eyes are an unusual light amber color that almost seem to flash gold or copper in the right lights or moods. Her hair is long and a fiery scarlet red that seems almost unnatural, lightened by the sun from a much deeper auburn. She tends to wear her hair loose when not working, but alwys with a braid danging down from either temple, steel beads etched with shamanistic designs decorating the braids and a few other locks of hair here and there. Her figure is robust, hard work in fields both of battle and farming shaping her muscle to steel beneath that ivory skin that never seems to darken, only chafe. Her face carries three distinct scars, the deepest and thickest of them running diagonally down from her forhead towards her jaw, crossing her left eye and cheek, with another slighter scar at both her left temple curving down towards her ear, and her right chek in a wicked line that angles towards the corner of her mouth.

Personality
Kace grew up friendly but serious, taking her responsbilities to heart and letting it instill in her a deep sense of duty and honor. She lived life to the fullest, working hard and playing hard, even after marriage and motherhood should have tempered her. The loss of her siblings and husband took a toll, however. Where she was once gregarious and outgoing, loss and grief have made her quiet and introspective. Kace Redrain was a woman of great emotions and passions, and somewhere inside they still exist, bottled up and repressed by heartache and sorrow. She is slowly learning to be that woman again, however, one step at a time. Kace has been all work and no play for too long and that down-to-earth but fun-loving woman is starting to peek through again.
Background
While the rest of her siblings seemed to be made for war, Kace made her mark on the land itself. Oh she could fight alongside her more illustrious siblings, but she'd always preferred simpler things. Working the land, tending the flocks and herds. She worked hard to ensure that Redrain's harvests and herds kept the fealty in food through harsh winters and harsher wars.
She married young, her father arranging for Tomas Velenosa to marry in to Redrain shortly after her twentieth birthday. They had a pair of children quickly, two boys named Ciaran and Braden, then settled into a steady life at Farhaven. The death of her siblings Fergus and Freya, then later Anze, drew her to Arx for the funerals though she didn't stay after any of them, instead returning to her own family in Farhaven.
When the call to arms came for Stormwall, Kace and her husband both answered, but only Kace made it back. Having spent the last months in mourning for her husband, its only now that Kace and her boys are making the trip to Arx to finally rejoin her family.
