Description

A cloud of springy black curls flares back from Flora's round-featured face: dimples in the apples of her cheeks, a round snub to her nose, a full bow to her soft mouth, with warm, dark skin a shade like ochre. Taut muscle shows strong and firm across her arms, across the broad bulk of her shoulders. Her body is lean and fit, conditioned and strong, her sturdy muscle not at all undercut by the firm curves of womanhood undeniable in her shape. Her eyes, a clear, light brown, often suggest a dreamer's pensiveness.

Personality

Animated hope and warm generosity are, really, Flora's defining traits. Thoughtful and kind, she is a determined optimist, a determined idealist, and a determined... determined person. She can be hot-tempered and tempestuous and struggles to control those impulses, and other reckless, quick, bright-hearted impulses. It is very possible for her to make very foolish, reckless decisions, particularly if she feels her principles threatened or a friend's needs are on the line. Drawn to service, she balances humility and confidence on a tightrope spun of insecurity.

Background

A younger daughter of a lesser line out of Giant's Reach, Flora was called, young, to the Pantheon, in a holding that where shamanism was predominant. It wasn't that Flora felt any need to neglect the spirits particularly, but somehow she knew, Knew, with a whole heart, very young, that the gods were real, were necessary, were critical to her existence. Of course-- especially young children in an area of the North that could be scrappy, well, she ended up in a lot of ... scrappy little fights. Young and fierce, she drew the attention of a knight who was there with an entourage of Oathlanders who were seeking to potentially court one of the Marquis's family for a marriage alliance, and somehow, what with one thing and another, it was agreed that she would squire for him.

Flora worked very hard as a squire, in service to Gloria and the Sentinel. It was the culmination of her life's work and her life's faith when she finally was sworn a knight before the Grandmaster of the Templars. She is still young and new to this career, but loves it with the fullness of her heart.
