Few courtesans can be described as 'cute' or 'adorable'. Delia not only embodies these qualities, but makes them her own unique whisper brand. Fiery red hair falls in delightful curls, normally kept up with a few ringlets framing her round cheeks. A little button nose and a dash of freckles across her face enhance her charming vigor. Deep blue eyes twinkle with mischief and delight, and her lush lips always seem to smile and laugh with a vitality all their own. Her figure is pleasantly curvaceous, and her tiny frame suits it well. Her emotions always seem to be of the effervescent variety, and she takes great care to always seem positive.

Personality

Delia loves making friends. She loves making friends happy. She loves making friends happy so she can be happy as well. She despises being sad, angry, or morose. It's an icky feeling and there's too much joy in the world to waste time on such pursuits. She takes no greater pleasure than to cheer someone up, and truly making them happy, not just helping them fake it. She's an excellent listener, even as boisterous as she can be. She knows how to be quiet, and to let another person feel truly heard, as well as know just the right moments to give grand advice. She's smart and sassy, and not afraid of that. She goes out of her way to avoid letting friends feel negative, even if it is sometimes a necessary evil.

Background

Delia has always loved stories, great and small. Ever since she was a child, one of many in a lowly commoner merchant family in Arx, she remembers talking about about the pagentry and glamor of the court and picking out the stories that excited everyone to hear. What noble was doing what to whom, what a noblewoman said that caused gasps, the ebb and flow caused by developing relationships... it all captivated her. Even the things that were tragic contained an element of drama that was a delight to her, if at one stage removed.

As a young woman and a commoner, there were few ways to be closer to court. True, she probably could have worked her way up to being a lady's maid from one of the peers seeking help while at court, but she didn't want to be just another one of nameless rabble. The ambitious young woman wanted to be far closer to that, and with her natural beauty and charm was an excellent fit as a courtesan, developing her courtly grace and charm until she was accepted by the Whisper House. This is not to say she's abandoned gossip. Far from it! While she might be more subtle than she was in her youth, she just seeks out and discovers just which nobles love to talk about the struggles at court and confide the latest developments in their ongoing dramas. To many, she is seen as a trusted confidante, which is a true testament to her talent- to simultaneously be everyone's friend, while still letting individuals that truly despise one another know she is the woman to talk to.
