Description

A war between her Southern and Northern roots wages on Aine Halfshav's features, each winning their own battle in a precariously pleasing way. Her hair is a brown with tinted red tresses when the light hits it, holding soft curls to frame her strong jaw and cheekbones. Her eyebrows are wild and thick, over almondine eyes of deep, dark brown. Her nose is a petite, short button over a perfect cupid's bow of a mouth. Her limbs are lean and supple, but hold very little muscle.

Personality

Aine, raised by a Pravus, has all of the charm and wit of any true Southern lady. She can turn a phrase and give a mysterious smile. She is able to flirt and socialize, to be a diplomat when the time calls for it. There is something wilder burning at the core of her soul, however, that she's repressed for a long time.

Background

Adelie Pravus, second wife of Ahern Halfshav, was unhappy in Whitehold from the moment she arrived following her marriage to the widowed lord. Khanne and Arik were never really hers and this world was cold and miserable. It was likely that there would have been a divorce, but then Aine arrived in a screaming bundle on one rare, gloriously warm day in the far north reaches.

And Adelie had something of her own, which Aine was raised to be. She was not raised with or like her half-siblings, allowed to form their own paths in the wilds, especially after Ahern's death. She was raised as a Southern lady, her mother's own little audience just as trapped as Adelie felt but in a different way. The call of her Northern blood was a thing to be ignored as she studied and worked on her wits and charm.

It's only as Khanne rises that Aine has found an escape. She has been allowed to come to Arx, to see the city for the first time, and notable without her mother in attendance.

There's hardly a party, or event in the bustling capital that Aine isn't attending. If she wants to make it somewhere in this world, she knows that she's going to make the right connections.

Sister of a Duchess is not all that she wishes to be.
