Description

A large man built powerfully,with robust light brown hair. His hair billows around his shoulders as he normally lets it flow free instead of braiding it or tying it up. His beard his kept low and trimmed often. His gray eyes have a warm welcoming glint about them as he seems to just welcome others quickly.

Personality

Vellen is a gregarious and outgoing lord of the northern wilds, and carries abit of that wild in his soul wherever he goes. He is pragmatic and efficient, believing little in the tenets of chivalry and more about what can serve him and his best.

Vellen is a spendthrift, his coins always burning a whole in his purse, being likely to buy rounds for some strangers or spend a sudden windfall on drink and arms and armour as anything else.

Background

Vellen has always had a love for nature. He would go out into the wilds hunting when he was not learning from his tutors. The world outside was something unique and strange to him. He wanted to learn its secrets by exploring. This lead to him not spending as much time with his family as he would of liked later in life but it did make him into the person that he is today.

Now he has left his home to go out into the world becoming a mercenary alongside his younger brother. His reasons for this are not known but he puts his skills from his time in the wilderness to good use.
