Dayton isn't one to discuss his history. He has a penchant for redirecting conversations regarding anything truly personal to a different topic of conversation. What is known of the gentle leatherworker is his youth was spent at sea under Admiral Denholm Kennex's command. His early twenties was spent upon a merchant ship mastering his trade and the minutia of the distribution portion of business and his late twenties have him back in Stormward seeing to his family and acting as a liason and occassional counsel to the young Marquis Kennex.

Dayton is blessed when it comes to his appearance, as many who inhabit Arx are. Atop his head sits a wild mop of curly blonde hair that falls to just barely graze the top of sinewed shoulders, outer strands kissed by the sun to a golden blonde while the depths of the roots seem to be more of a fair brown which also carried the the perpetual layer of thick stubble that graced his features. His gaze is a pale green reminiscent of the shallows of Stormward during the summer months when the algae is thick and it stains the throng of the tide pools that hide in nooks throughout the island's coast. He was of average height and build for a Stormward man, his figure lean but muscled from years of manual labor.

When you're the eldest of nine children, you tend to grow into a tempered man. Dayton has an easygoing and rarely flappable nature to him. Polite and calm in most situations, he maintains a gentleness uncommon with many seaborn men yet for the locals of the small island of Stormward it seems to be a norm of the commoner caste.
