One could not call Calithex handsome. He is striking, utterly: tall and sleek and carved. Chiseled, each angle and line of bone beneath skin is graceful and bold -- but though he does not look the least bit feminine, the only word for him is beautiful. His mismatched eyes are full of death and darkness, and incomprehensible amusement, respectively. One is a vivid icy blue, the other a deep, dark green. His hair is silver, often kept neat and on the shorter side, slicked back to show sharp-tipped ears. Sometimes, it is painted in colors. Sometimes, he ignores it for centuries. For all this, the life in his face lives mostly in his wide, thin-lipped mouth. The angle of each curve of that mouth could be used to calculate the lifespan of entire cultures.
