Description

Standing a little taller than average, the slender woman has a fairly unassuming appearance. Flaxen blonde of different variations of gold is composed of loose waves, some curlier than others, with strands that have no sense of uniformity. Her tanned skin speaks to a lifetime outdoors and a set of hazel eyes are set subtly in round orbs. A long, thin nose centers her face over set of rounded lips. The rest of her frame is wiry, toned with muscle, but not with the physique of a fighter's body, but rather something nimble and athletic.

Personality

Sarra has always been focused, maybe a little too focused for her own good. When she sees a goal, she attacks it until things are just right; sometimes this can lead her to feeling a little defeated when things aren't perfect, but her natural thirst for knowledge and her curious nature quickly distracts her from it normally. When she isn't so one-track-minded, she can be incredibly loquacious, enjoying a good drink or game, and laughing easily, as well as enjoying news and gossip more than her share. She is constant trying to be better -- even on things she may already be an expert -- and she will lay her life on the line for her kin.

Background

The Cherrane family has always known life in Fair Harbour. Sarrac, her father and namesake, kept the family clothed and fed as a fisherman on the port, while her mother, Celesse, was a seamstress. Still, most of the means were meager and they raised their daughters, Sarra and Lylian, to the best of their ability. Both daughters took work young around the island, but Sarra truly enjoyed the land work over taking to the seas. She became a part of the islands efforts to reduce the overcrowding deer population.

Seeing her daughter's focus on such a task, as she was always so focused, even as a babe, Celesse harbored this interest into something Sarra could use later in life. Trading some wares in exchange for lessons, she made sure her daughter received tanning lessons, so that the animals that were hunted did not go to waste. Sarra took to it immediately, enjoyed the work, as she made leather sets of armor more geared to teenagers and adolescents.

While Sarrac and Celesse did their best, they saw a fire in their daughter than they could not fully satisfy. Seeing how driven she was, and Sarra's growing distaste for living life on the secluded island, they proposed an idea: a patronage with the local nobles, the Harthalls, to provide services and send her to Arx. While Sarra hated this idea initially, she reluctantly agreed and the Harthall's happily took on the leatherworker. There was a chance for a bigger life in Arx, even if she wasn't a city girl in even the remotest sense. She would join the Crafter's Guild to learn how to manage her own business, to, as her father put it, "have a better life than we could ever dream."
