Description
Lush, loose red curls fall partway down this fair maiden's back when her hair is loose. A smattering of freckles keep her looking young, although her dark brown eyes hold a solemnity that someone her age shouldn't have to bear. She's seen much. She usually has her hair pinned into a neat bun, with a few wisps of hair escaping despite her best efforts. She moves with a careless grace, unable to help herself as she walks with her head down, humbled by life, and grateful for the pieces she's picked up.
Personality
A pretty redhead who quietly relishes being put into her place as kindly as she was by life and her new family's kindness. Her former anger has mostly dropped away, left with a bewildered woman trying to figure out who and what she is in the grand scheme of things. Fiery under the surface, it rarely comes out. She's got a sunny disposition most days, but has hidden from her anger in shyness. It's something she's eager to break, but this new world she's navigating is frightening to her.
Background
After being sent off to become a scholar on a far-flung island as an extra lady who was too rebellious for the Argento family, Carissa heard what happened to the nobles of Arx and returned in a panic a few years too late, after the Gyre had been defeated. Her family mostly dead, and her March given to Lianne, she yearned for something to do to gain back some measure of trust for herself and the name Argento.
However, after learning some hard truths about that name, Carissa is humbled, thankful, and even grateful to Lianne for welcoming her home with open arms and kindness. She is working hard to regain herself, after so many years of anger. She's always been rebellious, it's true, but now she's trying to live up to the new family name she proudly wears.
